Can't say enough good things about this place! My dog has seen a few of their docs. Everyone treats us like he is their favorite client. Great prices. Excellent care.

So, I have going to Nonatum for 40 years, they have taken excellent care of my Labadors and I have never ever been unsatisfied. Had to put my Manhattan down April 16, 2021, it was the right thing to do. Always has been and continues to be a Great Place for your loved ones, Debbie and Chris were my go to Doc's, Then Jamey and Cortney, can't say the respect I have for the Group of People that work there. Debbie was and I know Is proud on what you all do.

The vets are fantastic. Very caring and compassionate. My pups actually love going to the vet.

Ginger and Cheddar, two of our four pets.

We loved NLVC when we started with them. Everyone was great and our dogs were loved by the vets…read moreand staff. We have changed vets for Jasper, our 13 year old Jack Russell/Besenji mix. Our Kolby passed on 12/22/25 with undiagnosed (by NLVC) kidney cancer, he was 11 years old and very active in July. On August 5, 2025, we took Kolby to NLVC and saw a "new to us" doctor, Dr. Callan, because he had a seizure/passed out over the weekend, not eating well, vomiting and peeing in the house. Dr Callan did a urinalysis and Sr. Wellness Panel. Kolby was put on Proin for peeing in the house. (One month prior to the seizure, Kolby had a wellness visit on July 10th with a "new to us" doctor, Dr Paul, and everything was ok). After the seizure he acted like he felt fine but we obviously wanted him to be checked out. Dr. Callan did the bloodwork and said for us to just watch Kolby and video him if he has another seizure. The bloodwork showed everything as pretty much normal and the Proin seemed to help with the uncontrolled peeing. On September 2, we had Kolby's meds refilled (Proin and something for nausea). On November 18, 2025, we took Kolby back to NLVC and saw another "new to us" doctor, Dr. Omlor. We took Kolby because he was losing weight due to his decline in appetite, vomiting and chewing his hair off. Dr. Omlor gave Kolby IV fluids and an injection for nausea. Keep in mind, my husband and I trusted this veterinary clinic and thought we were doing the best for our Kolby. On December 9, 2025, due to Kolby's decline in appetite, weight loss and hair loss, we took him back to NLVC. Again, he saw Dr. Omlor for a recheck. Kolby had a significant behavior change in the past week. He was barking at nothing, staring into corners and peeing in the house again. Dr. Omlor said that "The behavioral changes you're seeing could be related to something called cognitive dysfunction syndrome, which is similar to dementia in people." At this point we should have asked them for x-rays, but we aren't doctors. By Saturday, December 13th we headed to Urgent Care in Newark. They immediately performed x-rays and found a mass in one of his kidneys. They made us an appointment for Monday morning at Pinnacle Veterinary Specialist in Glen Mills, PA. They performed an ultrasound and found that the kidney mass was cancerous and had now spread to the other kidney. He also had a blood clot that could move at any time. They suggested that it would be compassionate to go ahead and euthanize him. We couldn't leave him there. We opted to bring him back home and make him as comfortable as possible. We did and one week later we had to let him go. There are no words to say how much that little Prince was loved and horrible to think how much he suffered from August to December. We truly believe if we had a regular vet who was the only one he was seeing, they would have suggested other measures to diagnose him. NLVC failed us. We called today to get Jasper's records and I let them know about Kolby. The girl who answered the phone didn't identify herself and when I said something about the vet revolving door, she said that they "have a lot of veterinarians". We needed consistency and someone who would love our dogs. There have been several staff members there who were wonderful and we also love Dr. Meredith and loved Dr. Gruber. Unfortunately, Dr. Gruber left long ago and we never see Dr. Meredith anymore. It also appears that many of the staff members that we loved so much have also left the practice. The young lady who answered the phone today was just doing a job. No heartfelt compassion - all that I got was a "sorry for your loss". Yes, and we are sorry that we have to leave and cannot recommend your services. RIP our sweet Kolby - aka Little Prince...

Took him to VCA people's plaza and vet said it was an ear infection and put my cat on medication ear drops. Vet said his ears should not have been cleaned. Ten days on ear drops, and infection is gone. Looking at reviews on yelp, and my own experience, I'm wondering if the "vets" at New London are really vets? Is there any kind of agency that checks on this kind of stuff? Anyway, don't take your animal there if you care for their wellbeing.

No notification to former clients. My two cats needed vaccinations. When I got home the rabies certificates showed the exact weight as 3 years ago. I call to get the current weight and it had never been recorded! I had to make 3 calls to the office to get a summary of the visit concerning dental surgery for my one cat. Then I find out no surgical procedures are done at the West Grove location! The main location is in Newark, DE. All the positive reviews on here are prior to the new owners taking over. BEWARE!!!!

It took days to get an appointment for her and by that time my dog had already gotten very sick. She had an autoimmune disease, so she felt horrible very quickly. She wouldn't eat and got blistering and bleeding sores by The time they could see her. Now they are saying also that it will take 48 hours to get a vet to write a prescription and you have to come in and pick it up. First off this place is not that busy and are we going back to the Stone Age handwriting scripts and taking them to the pharmacy. This place is a joke. They don't care about your animals just you wallet. Also Reese the assistant is super rude and should find a profession that doesn't deal with people.

It was very quick and he went down hill in 3 weeks. We were so so sad and our vet recommended Dr Teti for euthanasia. We scheduled our day/time and Dr Teti pulls up in a little 2 seater Mazda Miata convertible. He comes to our door in a hoodie, dirty shorts and barefoot. His feet were filthy black with dirt on them. I let this go because we were focused on the task at hand. Once ready for anesthesia, he sticks our guy with needle and he must have hit something because my weak little dog screamed and screamed and just tried to get out of our arms. It was devastating. He finally fell asleep. But this was the last thing he experienced while alive. It killed me and the doctor said nothing. Once asleep, he administered the last shot and within seconds he passed. We held him and finally my husband carried him out to his two seater car. He is placed on the passenger seat, in the beating sun, and off he goes to Animal Soul in Wilmington , DE. This definitely was not the peaceful end of life we wanted for our little guy and it was devastating to us. The way he arrived, his appearance, the shot, the way he left was so disrespectful to all. --Lastly, I just had to stop at my vet the other day and I wanted to share with someone. Shared with staff and they are aware that Dr Teti's appearance is as above. I cannot believe my vet and others in area recommend him. Many might have a different experience, but I wish someone like myself did a review to inform others so they don't have to go through what we did. Rest in peace my little guy.

In my dire need to put down my little, seriously ill 6 pound dog, I used his website to request an appointment that morning. When I didn't get a response, I called his mobile number on his website. He was the most uncompassionate, insensitive person I had ever spoken to. When I said that I had requested an appointment on his website, with him being only less than a mile from my house, he replied, "No, I can't because of a family emergency." And when I replied, "Oh no, really?", he said, "I don't have to explain to you why!" All I said was, "Oh no, really?" (meaning, "oh no, what am I going to do") While I was obviously distraught, he continued to argue that there was no way I was able to request an appointment on his website. (Clearly, there is place on his website where you can request an appointment.) This doctor, by no means, is a caring veterinarian, and I promised myself, after my little dog passed that day, that I would make sure that dog lovers in the Newark, DE area know how callous this man is to care for their sick and dying animals and help persons like me who needed his help.
