Really not great food. "Hollandaise" is yellow gravy. Probably from a can. It is without the faintest hint of tang. No lemon juice in that stuff. The omelette was decent. Except for the yellow gravy they supplied to dump on it. French toast arrived cold. Would not melt the butter in the least. Chopped fruit on it is just that. Its not in a sauce or anything. Coffee is not bad. The ambience is nice. Its homey and friendly, with some artwork on the walls. If not for the food I would return. The free breakfast in the cheap motel in Winslow the next day was honestly better in every way. read more

Breakfast being my favorite meal of the day. While in flagstaff for the weekend I was looking for a small dinner. Found this little gem that has eggs Benedict. So decide to give them I try. We've been to both locations and can't decide which is our favorite. Today we were at the Cedar Ave. Both have great service and always good food. The Cedar location is larger and being in a strip mall, easier to find (free) parking. I had the Cajun Scramble with their (seasonal) pumpkin chocolate chip pancake. My wife had Avocado bacon Benedict with hash browns. We both splurged with a cappuccino to start with. They did a great job on the coffee and served it in real mugs! What a treat. The Cajon scramble has a nice kick to it. The sausage is fried crisp with the eggs and blended well. My pancake was "ok". Not much of a nutmeg flavor so it came out more like a chocolate chip pancake. I'd order it again but would ask for extra nutmeg seasoning. The avocado bacon Benedict is my wife's go to. This is the third time she's ordered it. The sauce is incredible and the eggs always done correctly. She usually gets the bacon on the side (personal choice). Coffee before heading for the trails! We were staying in Flagstaff, AZ for a few days and taking advantage of many of the wonderful outdoor activities that the area has to offer, including hiking in the near by National Parks and Monuments. Waking up early in the morning, we occasionally needed an extra caffeine boost before driving out of town and Brandy's Cafe was a nearby option. Over the few days that we were there, I tried a number of the items off their Espresso Drinks menu and they were all good. The staff was very friendly and the place seemed to be a popular one. Although I did not personally try any of the dishes on the menu, I noticed other clients enjoying their breakfasts every time I was there. W O W. I am southern & let me tell you this is the best gravy I've had besides my Maw Maw's! Definitely homemade. The potatoes are very well seasoned! The lattes are amazing, the pumpkin spice latte had real pumpkin in it- move over Starbucks. The biscuits were crispy on the outside & soft & flaky inside, absolute perfection. I lived in Flagstaff when I first moved here, & Brandy's (la bella via) was always perfect for my weekly cheap & reliable cheat breakfast meal! If you love eggs Benedict, you'll love it here! They have several variations to appease your tastebuds. I enjoy their pancakes too! My boyfriend enjoyed the French toast with strawberry butter. I live in Phoenix now but always visit Brandy's when I'm back in flagstaff with friends! I recently had their pumpkin pancakes & they were divine! My friends had omelettes with Hollandaise on the side, they said it was delicious & hearty. Brandy's has an old school diner feel that has adjusted very well to the pandemic. We got there and the ambiance was actually lovely, & I really liked the feel of the place. I then took a minute to look at the menu, and immediately knew what I wanted to order. Well, then about 10-15 minutes went by. Ok, that's fine, I'm cool with waiting. However, the staff THEN, (*we* were a group of five;) RE-SEATED a group of TWO. And, the table they reseated them to had space for WAY more than two people. (Probably 6 people at most; it was a pic-nic bench.) On top of that, they were already seated WITH menus. So WTF? That was the cherry on top of the wait time. Then we were seated, finally. But everybody was so agitated by then that one of us had already gone back to the car, and there were like 2 open tables inside, and so the rest of us just decided to bail. After attempting to have breakfast at another establishment that was supposed to be open but oddly enough wasn't ( The Toasted Owl ) we ended up at Brandy's. What a find it was. We noticed it was a charming little joint although it could use a tad bit of updating. We ordered the Early bird breakfast and the Chorizo Quesadilla and both were excellent, in fact a good Chorizo is extremely hard to find but Brandy's absolutely nailed it. Our server, John did an excellent job of taking care of us as well as giving us helpful pointers on local attractions such as Meteor Crater and the Petrified forest. After a few days in Arizona from California, I found this charming restaurant in Flagstaff called Brandy's. Even though I was early, preopening, server Sean was super friendly and accommodating. I had my eye on the Cajun Scramble and it was phenomenal, best I've had in years with alot of sausage slices, eggs and red peppers. If that wasn't awesome enough, it comes with a huge pancake and English muffin which were also delicious. Manager Monica took my order and served my breakfast like a champ. Overall, Brandys ranks as the best breakfast I've had in Arizona so far.
