Personally this is one of my favorite brandy stores because of how they have a wide selection. However, my recent visit was not how I expected as some of the workers were giving an attitude towards me and my friend as we asked if they could take one of the shirts down that was high up for us. Brandy does not have a real return policy---so whatever you buy, make sure you are committed! Go on the off hours so you don't have to tell with the long dressing room lines. All that said, Brandy is great for just reasonably priced seasonal basics. Always fun to pop in for a baseball cap (always final sale) or a fun tee. read more

The store has a cute and cozy vibe. Love their clothings. But today I was really disappointed by the rude and condescending attitude of one of the staff members. She was sitting near the fitting room folding clothes, wearing a green sweater with a low ponytail tied with a green scrunchie. I had a friend who raved nonstop about this store and she declared it was her favorite, as a young twenty something. I had never set foot in a location until this part weekend and decided to see what the hype was. This location is across from the Apple store in Fashion Island. It's a fairly small location and while there are a few markers on the ground to encourage social distancing, it was hard to reinforce that, due to some narrow aisles that doubled as walkways to the registers and dressing rooms. There were some girls greeting people at the front and noting how many were in the store at a time. The one with the clicker didn't greet me and she told another girl that she was feeling sick and wanted to go home. Her co-worker told her to talk to someone else to see if they could change with her and then went to talk to someone who was folding clothes on the table. I had to get someone's attention to reach a tennis skirt that was too high for me to reach. The girl grabbed the white and I politely asked if I could try the black too. I had to ask her twice before she realized what I was asking and then handed me the skirts without much interest or care. Once I got to the dressing room, I had to ask a girl behind the register if I could just take an empty dressing room to try things on. She was a little nicer and quickly got me a number and a room to try things on. They only offered the tennis skirt in S and M. The medium just barely fit and the construction was questionable - the side pleats were kicking out in an unflattering way that would make one's hips look wider. There were a lot of stray threads and stitches that looked crooked and off. Fabric was stiff and didn't feel like $25. Not a good store for those who are bigger than a certain size. I normally wear a M and thought the skirt ran small. Clothes are now made in China versus Italy, unlike the earlier releases. I noticed it was mostly younger clients like teens or pre-teens shopping with their moms here. Oddly, there weren't many different nationalities shopping here and I noticed most of the people were very slender and on the tall side. If you fit this body type, this is a possible store to consider shopping if you want to avoid H&M and Zara. I would not shop here again. The brand has their demographic and clearly I'm not part of it. In addition, customer service was lacking and could be better. read more

I had never been here before the holidays, or heard of it. However, because my niece likes the clothes, I ventured and was pleasantly surprised. All sizes are pretty much one size fits all for the teenie boppers as I like to call them. The clothes are cute , a little on the higher end of price point but solid. Please desensitize your price tags after they've been rung up. They never trigger the alarm at your store yet they trigger every other store alarm causing much embarrassment. This happens at ALL locations and causes a scene. If you have these tags that alarm the exits, why does it not go off in your own store? It triggered Urban Outfitters' alarm and the manager rolled her eyes and said "Brandy's tags always do this". Please fix this soon. It causes a lot of embarrassment and stress, especially for the teen erroneously looking like she stole something. Happens all the time. read more

I tried to return clothing I had purchased 2 days prior (all tags attached , never worn and with my receipt.). So I am stuck with store credit for a store that doesn't fit my granddaughter. The staff here is ruder than any other Brandy I've been to. I went to the register and the girl with short dyed blonde hair was checking me out. She wasn't attentive at all and almost added a sweater to my bag that did not belong to me. It wasn't that big of a deal but when I got to the car (we parked quite far) I noticed an item was missing that I was rang up for. I then proceeded to go back with my receipt and asked politely about the missing jewelry item. She then told me to go back to my car and get the bag because she "distinctly remembers putting it in the bag". I had to sprint back to the lot and then the store only for her to not even check the bag and say "oh the earrings were here on the back counter". No apologies were made at all. So rude so careless. I was in shock at the way I was treated when I stopped in yesterday so I came on here to see what others thought of if I had made it up in my head. Glad to see I'm not the only one here. I had gone in just to look around but was not greeted by a worker nor did I see any other customers in the store being assisted or acknowledged. The stacks of clothes were messy, there was a ladder in the very narrow walkways that had no signs and no person using it. I overheard a woman asking if she could try on some items and the associate barely looked at her as she told her she could just walk in. When I got my items and went up to the register, there were two girls in front of me so I waited my turn and right after their transaction, the cashier looked at me, and left without saying a word as if she pretended not to notice I was there. I stood there for a few minutes dumbstruck before she returned and said "I can help you over here" like it wasn't the only register available and it was her first time noticing me standing there. She said nothing to me as she bagged my items and put my receipt in the bag. Overall, I was disappointed by the state of the store and the treatment of customers by the employees. It's a pretty big store and the layout is very wide. They have a large selection of clothing. Let's be real here and state the obvious, it's Brandy Melville so don't expect exceptional customer service and attention from the girls that work there. Honestly, you just have to walk in and be mentally prepared that you probably won't receive a smile from these girls... nonetheless acknowledgement. If you walk in knowing these things, you won't be disappointed lol. Although, I've had a couple girls actually smile at me and are very engaging, but most of the girls usually don't notice me; it's probably because I'm Asian.. but even the Asian girls that work there don't even say hi so whatevs you do you girl. I really like the clothes here. I may not agree with the price tag but I find myself buying it anyways. The material of the clothing is super soft and for the most part they last. I don't own much from here, a couple of basic shirts, dresses, and the cotton shorts. I think most of their items are easy to pair with one another and it's easy to put together an outfit. A lot of places try to imitate their clothing, but I must agree that Brandy does it best. I don't know why I keep coming back but I do love how simple the clothes are. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love brandy Melville and my closet is full of brandy clothes. I have shopped at brandy Melville since I was in fourth grade and am now in high school. As I've gotten older, the workers attitudes have changed drastically, and by how the workers look and act towards the customers makes me want to stop shopping there. Within the last few years, the workers have become insanely rude. Most workers don't even acknowledge you when you walk in, and if you ever ask for anything they just give you the nastiest looks. For such a large brand you would think that they would want workers that are welcoming and have great hospitality skills. Gabbie was so helpful and happy to offer me the help I needed. I was not able to reach for merchandise because of my shoulders. She was more than happy to walk me around and assist me with a smile. Even with a mask i can sense when people are smiling. I also was helped by Annie who was equally as wonderful. Best Customer Service I ever got shopping here. Love the clothes here because they are effortlessly cute. Material is soft and light and I love wearing their clothes. Only downside is the material isn't the greatest even though it's soft. Easy to rip because it's so thin and lint balls(?) easily appear. Interior: Small compared to the Santa Monica store. Wish it was bigger! +4 stars for the quality of their clothes and the reasonable prices / -1 star because of the sales associates' lack of interaction with customers (which seems to be the general consensus with most Yelp reviews.) Staff is mostly teenage girls, probably working their first job... so I try not to judge too harshly. They are not rude, by any means, just inattentive. My best friend and I will drive from Las Vegas to Cali for the day to dip our toes in the water, and visit this store because it is COMPLETELY worth it (cost for shipping on their website is mind boggling when you live only 4 hours away lol). Quality of the clothing is above what you would expect with the pricing being so affordable. The sizing for most of their clothing is "one size fits most" which usually throws people off, although it does not bother me or my best friend. For reference, I am short, boxy, with no curves. My best friend is taller, with an hourglass figure. And the one size fits most tops fit both of us- which is awesome. We will continue to visit here as frequently as we can, because it is 100% worth it! read more

Come here if you want to get judged by the Brandy "models" they employ and hear them talk about getting "f*cked up" over the weekend very loudly. It doesn't look like any of them are really working except for the cashiers who are slightly friendly, the other girls are just dressed head to toe in Brandy, side-eying every customer and shuffling hangers around on the racks. I walked towards the back and 3 employees were standing there not working, but chatting. Don't fall for the hype, this store and brand is BS. A lot of their clothes sold in store are flawed and of poor quality, so double check your item before purchasing because you can only exchange items, not return.
