The store had tons of example quilts, lots of quilt kits, patterns, books, cutting mats, Aurifil thread, and sewing accessories (needles, thread conditioner, pens etc). It was super well organized and thoughtfully designed. Loved how all the Christmas patterns and fabric were together along the back wall. I loved how they used a lot of free patterns available from fabric manufacturers. Most importantly I had great customer service! All the store employees asked me if I needed help and if I was doing ok. As a younger quilting customer (mid 30's) I am frequently completely ignored. So I was pleasantly surprised when I was helped! While I couldn't buy everything I had my eye on I learned they have free shipping through their online store - almost unheard of in the quilting/fabric world. Will definitely buying from this store in the future!

We went and looked for other fabric because apparently the fabric we chose earlier was not enough and he couldn't gave us 8 yards form that roll. We wasted so much time and finally found another fabric roll and took it to him at the end of the day the first roll of fabric that we wanted was more than enough and he gave a 8 yards there was still so much fabric left on the roll we didn't had to look for the other roll of fabric. The employees are just not fully present to know how much 8 yards of fabric is and wasted our time while being rude to my mom and rolling their eyes for us taking too "long". At the end they didn't even apologized for their mistakes super entitled!!!

The cushion material was special order and they were very accommodating. The turn around was about 2 weeks as we had a lot of cushions. An employee stationed at the balloon machine near the front repeatedly inflated Christmas balloons even though no customers were purchasing balloons at that time. The noise was extremely loud and frightened my son -- he cried every time the machine was used. I said out loud several times that the noise was loud and upsetting him, but they continued anyway. It felt unnecessary in that moment and showed a lack of awareness or consideration for a distressed toddler nearby. I understand stores are busy during the holidays, but this situation could have been handled more thoughtfully.

I would find reasons to stop by the Village Crossroads location over the years quite often, and when I became an educator, I started receiving the educator/teacher discount. I used to find all of the associates were so friendly and even more helpful. Unfortunately, the products are not as refilled as often nowadays, there isn't as large an assortment of items, and the customer service can use some work. The last several times I have gone in to find a specific item, that item has been out of stock whether it was a regular item or a seasonal item. Today, when I stopped by to look for an item that was listed as being carried by the store, I couldn't find an associate in the store except by the checkout counters. When I went up to an associate who was available, she said she didn't know about the item and directed me to a general area and told me if I didn't see it, they probably didn't have it. She didn't check in the system or offer to walk me over to the area to check even though the store wasn't busy. She did ask a nearby associate, who just shrugged her shoulders to indicate she didn't know either. I didn't know if this was a training or motivation issue, but I gave up and decided to go online when I got home after purchasing a few other items. I found the item I was looking for on the Michaels website. It appeared to be in stock at this very store. I placed a pick-up order, and surprisingly, I received an e-mail saying that the order was ready for pick-up. I left home and headed back to the store. Right when I arrived to the parking lot, I received a cancellation notice from the store saying it was not in stock. I am disappointed in how disorganized the store was to say it was in stock and ready for pickup and then canceling the order due to the item not being in stock. I doubt I will try asking for customer service help or ordering online again in the near future. On the other hand, this is a large store with a lot of items that may or may not be in stock. If items are in stock, I can use the coupons I see readily available and save quite a bit. As someone who likes crafts and baking, Michaels is great!! I just wish this store was as good as it once was. The Village Crossroads location of Michaels is open weekdays from 9 AM to 10 PM, Saturday from 8 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 9 AM to 9 PM. Their services include curbside pickup, same-day delivery, buy online/pick up in store, balloons, fabrics, birthday parties, and custom framing.
