The French toast was light, airy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the cheddar cheese, ham, and eggs. The sandwich is amazing on its own, but adding a little syrup takes it to another level. Sweet, savory, and absolutely unforgettable! We also tried the biscuits & gravy which were rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to start breakfast. The skillet was packed with crispy potatoes, bell peppers, onions, sausage, and melted cheese in every bite was full of flavor! To top it all off, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere made this an easy experience. I love any diner that puts flautas on the menu. It's one of my favorite dishes when you're just hungry and don't want anything overly complex or complicated. It's what I call great grub food. And Brandon's had some delicious flautas. It's just a shame the rice it comes with is so over-loaded with peas and corn. I don't know--when I see rice on the side, I expect it to be rice and nothing but except maybe a little seasoning or sauce. I don't want fried rice and I definitely don't want veggies effing up the rice. It kind of ruined my meal. At least the service was good. Our server was just on the ball and asked just enough to keep aware of when we need anything like refills. The space is kind of smaller compared to the other Brandon's I've been to. But it was still quaint enough and it certainly had enough space for a slow Friday evening. I don't know if this would be the one I go to a lot, but it is definitely the closest. Wouldn't recommend they put your order in but when you track it they leave it on "kitchen preparing your food" never goes to "available for pick up" waited 10 minutes after the pick up time cause the tracker never moved. We have eaten at Brandon's quite a few times. This visit was a disappointment. My mother ordered the chicken Swiss sandwich, my wife ordered the French dip, and I ordered the pork chops. My mom and wife were very happy with their choices. The French dip was extremely tender, and the chicken sandwich made my mother smile. On the other hand, the pork chops were way below expectations. I have never had such thin pork chops served at a restaurant, I'm sure no fault of the cook, but they were extremely dry and tough. Unfortunately, the picture in the menu made the pork chops look very appetizing, in reality not so much. My first choice was the fried chicken, but apparently that's been a discontinued menu item and they have not removed it from the menu. On a sidenote, typically when we go there, we order a salad bar along with our meals. Upon arriving, we were notified they were closing an hour early and the salad bar was closed. I've been to Brandon's, but their Riverside location, so I wanted to try Ontario as I'm a fan of their food. We stopped here this Saturday morning for breakfast. It was busy, but we were seated immediately. The menu consists of different types of food such as breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, burritos, salads, dinner plates, and more. They also have an 'All-You-Can-Eat' buffet on Saturday & Sunday. I had their 'Mixed Berries Crepes' combo with a 'coffee' and side of 'home fries'. Everything tasted amazing with fresh ingredients and a great presentation. The coffee was freshly brewed and very satisfying. Portions are generous, and prices are fair. Service was fast and efficient. Shout out to our server 'Jenesiz', who was extremely attentive and welcoming. I was really impressed with her service. She made sure we had an enjoyable meal. The restaurant is clean and organized with an additional side as 'Cantina' bar with happy hour from 3pm-7pm daily. The restrooms were also very clean during our visit. Been eating here a long time. NEVER EVER A HAD A BAD MEAL. The food and service is wonderful. They just put in new booths and tables, in this last week. Mighty comfortable I must say. I only gave 4 stars for one little thing. They charge for "soda water". That's wild. Very uncommon to get charged for water with gas. I can't have sugar, and I hate diet soda. So the one beverage, other than coffee, that brings me joy is soda water. Mister or mrs. BRANDON'S DINER is only okay for someone like me, but a solid good for its clientele. This takes explaining and perspective. I've driven cross country many times to the Northeast. Brandon's simply doesn't compete in major cities but is the kind of place you look for in small towns. Locally owned. Real. It's a diner, it's a Mexican restaurant, and it has a successful bar scene Cantina even. Drinks are large, one shot we saw was huge -- it's the little place that could. The food? A mixed bag of okay. But I sense everything is okay. And the prices aren't too high. This is in the Denny's category of dining, which a snob like me would 3 stars at best. But I gave it four stars because ultimately I'm not their customer. The locals are. And they were having a good time in the bar and at the salad bar. This place is like 'home' to the returning customers. I had a generous French Dip sandwich with a large almost swimming pool bow of au jus. It was good, not great, but not bad. My partner in crime had some chili rejenos that were okay but not bad either, and rather light on spice. There's a giant Kaiser nearby. If you're getting on in years, need comfy booths to sit in, lightly seasoned food -- this is worth a try. This isn't a culinary sojourn but a comfort food cantina. Usually am a regular here and ended up having a few irks today with an encounter. Foods great and the place looks wonderful with the updates however the service is a bit less than what it was. They charged me for my order correctly and then forgot part of it [I am consistent I tend to get a bacon cheese omelette and add avacado.] There's been times where they've forgotten little things like toast and that happens that normal. However charging me extra for only giving me a cheese and avocado omelette while charging me for the other looks bad. On top of this trying to call ahead to place a to go order was met with them hanging up and then taking 10 minutes to be able to place one when I got there. Generally was just a bad experience for that time around but I hope it's a one off. - Note. January 1, 2026, we decided to go have breakfast at Brandon's Diner on Vineyard in Ontario. We were seated right away and greeted with a smile . So we placed our drink order. Coffee an hot tea. Got the drinks as we were reviewing the menus. Cup that came with the tea had lipstick stain so strike one. Got a replacement cup. Placed our breakfast orders. Got our food and the scrambled eggs were cold, hash browns lukewarm, biscuits and gravy were cold-strike two. The server, Manuel replaced the biscuits and gravy as for the eggs, hubby said he didn't want replacement, and the hash browns were not replaced. So, I get the replaced supposedly hot biscuits and gravy....well....strike three, they too were cold. Let Manuel know this [again] to which he was apologetic. Stated he should find out from the kitchen why the gravy is not coming out hot. He did give us a discount for the inconvenience. The diner had been remolded and we saw a few gross flaws, but overall, it was a nice change. Brandon's Diner has been a "go to" for breakfast, lunch and our group gatherings, but of late, the service and now the food is just not that great anymore. Will we be back, maybe. read more

A nice surprise! Happy we tried Brandon's Diner and look forward to going again. I enjoyed the beef dip sandwich, but the thing that amazed us was the appetizer platter. It was enormous! Don't come expecting fine cuisine... this is tasty diner food prepared well and are reasonable prices. Our server was friendly and our order was accurate.
