Being on medi-cal and finding functional medicine doctor has been life changing. Yes he takes other insurance. He gives me his time,knowledge and I have seen tremendous results seeing him. When I first found him after my first appointment the front office went a whole year without answering my phone calls or calling me back. Told it was a phone system issue. Now i finally got through this year and been back with him, the trouble still stands of reaching the office sometimes I have to call eight times a day before they finally answer or not; they never return a voicenail and my prescriptions are never filled when leaving my appointment. I've never had an issue calling my doctor to have my prescriptions refilled anywhere else and the front staff always blames the doctor, I'm not a complainer but they make me feel like I am a bother. This medication is important to my well-being. I feel like their front staff lacks compassion it's one thing that you're not greeted when you come in it's another to be put aside like it's not a priority when it comes to our health. They started doing blood draws and I told them I dont do well and they said I just need to not be anxious and when I started sweating and feeling dizzy they just sent me on my way I had to ask to sit in lobby which was so embarrassing for people to watch me while I try to pull myself together. I just go to quest where they lay me down and have ZERO issues with the blood draw. I have my next blood test in 2 weeks (3 months apart from previous) and have been without my prescriptions for a month. I am extremely grateful for dr lamberty but wish this cycle of having meds then being fully without them would cease and my care could run smoothly without worrying about trying to reach them. Last time I had to make another appt to see him just to get the refills this time I couldn't get an appointment before my follow up date appt already set. It is just irritating but worth it because the doctor is fantastic and the other doctors I have seen had very concerning treatment suggestions.

Also let me add, it's impossible to get them on the phone, and don't ever leave a message for the supervisor because she will never ever call you back! They never meet you halfway when needing something or requesting something, it's literally scratching nails on a chalk board trying to get something done for One-self at this office!! Something that I had been waiting for almost 3 weeks to discuss results and the next steps, so based off of her nasty, ridiculous, immature judgment she took it upon "herself" to charge me upfront 100+ dollars deductible fees for a "telehealth" visit which mind you, you are not supposed to do. Telehealth visits are only $15. Don't let them EVER tell you guys different! But this nasty witch Veronica had the nerve to make a "bad judgment" call and want to charge me upfront and then took the initiative "herself" when I stated I didn't wanna pay those funds upfront and to bill me, because again it's not supposed to be requested of me due to the type of visit, she decided to CANCEL the visit herself!! shame on you, Care For Womans and shame on Veronica karma will be coming back to you... trust me you guys don't waste your time here go elsewhere and hopefully you don't run into that nasty witch Ver**ica

They know exactly how to help with your Diabetes. I've been diabetic since I was 16 years old and I've seen numerous doctors. They know how to treat patients and help with your glucose numbers. Also, very encouraging & positive to help you make changes with your habits. I'm very thankful for the front staff as well. I've always received friendly calls from the girls & gentleman working on my RX or having to move my appointment. I do have to say, knowing that the medronic girl is only in on certain days, I make sure I do not cancel for any reason. The appointments do book up & do take a little bit for them to call you back. I know they have to download my pump & that takes a little bit of time. Other than that, I can't express how great this office is!!
