Thai Style Shrimp
Neil K.

We continue enjoying dining at Brandl. Restaurant Week gave us good reason to go again though the choices for RW are limited. We ordered both from the specials and from the a la carte menus. Lobster bisque and Oyster Rockefeller a perfect start. Both the Thai Shrimp, on the RW menu and the Everything Bagel crusted Salmon were delicious. Midweek on a cold night the service was very attentive. It is a little pricey but BYOB sure helps.

Shishito Peppers and Mushrooms

This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is not a place you can go every week because it is pricey, however, the food has always been delicious. During this trip, we ordered the steak for 2 as an entree; shishito peppers, mushrooms, onion rings as sides; pot stickers as an app; and a red velvet soufflé as a dessert. The steak was perfectly cooked, smoky and the seasoning was delicious. The two sauces on the side complimented the steak very well. The sides were also delicious. I did not expect the sides to be as tasty as they were!! The potstickers had an AMAZING filling but the consistency of the shell was a little chewy, but we are being very critical because of the price. Finally, the dessert came with a marscapone-like cream that we put on the soufflé and it melted into the dessert. We would definitely reccomend the soufflé but make sure you ask for it at the beginning of your meal because it takes 45 minutes to cook! We thought the service was good. We did have to wait 20 minites for our reservation, however, the host let us know there would be a wait and while we were waiting a waiter came out and opened our wine bottle and gave us glasses. We also love the ambiance of the restaurant. It is well decorated, clean, and well worth the trip.

This is offensive. Wawa makes a better steak. Do not come here save your money.

I make better steaks at home with grocery store steaks. For the price I paid it almost $100 a person. This is so underwhelming and so overpriced. I'm literally upset. I paid almost $430 for five guests and the best things were the sides. Here's a picture

Shocked to see the three star reviews for this place. Stopped in last night and can happily say, this is my new go to local spot. I'm actually surprised I haven't been here yet. To start, I love that this place is BYOB. There is a liquor store in walking distance from it as well. Staff was super friendly and thorough in explaining the menu and providing recommendations. Kept checking in and making sure everything was okay. We decided to grab the prefixed menus. My boyfriend and I shared the appetizers. We got potstickers and Cesar salad. Both were amazing. The salad had a good garlic kick to it and the pot stickers were filled with flavor. We then shared the two entrees. We got the lazy lobster and the Thai shrimp. Holy cow. They were delicious!! I think the Thai shrimp will be a definite reorder for me. It was so dang good! The pineapple pared so well with the shrimp and purple rice. Lobster was very good too. Lastly, dessert. I'm a big sweets girl. We got the apple tart and the chocolate brownie. The apple tart was very good. Came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The chocolate brownie also had a vanilla scoop. I was so excited for the brownie, as they are my favorite - sadly it was a little too rich and sweet for me. But aside from that, everything else was perfect. The menu is designed very cute. The cups on the table are very unique and the interior and outdoor seating is very tastefully designed. Loved it and will be back!

Understaffed and overbooked. 1 star service for 5 star prices. Awful experience don't waste your money or time.

One of my favorites, always interesting ideas on the menu, the takeout during the COVID closure has been very well done.

The restaurant has relatively little but generally upscale decor. Our server was attentive and…read moretook care of us, although she also had an angry scowl on her face most of the time we were there. Our portion sizes were fairly large and the food was delicious. We ordered the honey vanilla pecan stuffed French toast, the lemon blueberry stuffed French toast, and the Bavarian cream stuffed French toast. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. On this off-season Thursday morning, the restaurant was not busy at all. Contrary to what others had warned, we had no difficulty and no delay in being seated or served.

First timer here:…read more Overall: 4.8/5 ME 5/5 GF My GF and I visited on a Sunday early afternoon. There was a 15 minute wait which turned into a 10 minute wait. Outside seating was available but it was too chilly for us. Service: 5/5 GF and I We had Gabby as a waitress and she was super friendly. She gave us great ordering advice. She checked on us regularly and made us feel at home. Food: 5/5 GF 4.8/5 ME Corned beef hash: 5/5 GF and I We loved it! It wasn't oily and cooked to perfection. Pancakes: 5/5 GF 4.8/5 ME GF had the regular pancake and she loved it. Fluffy and tasty. This is without syrup. I had the banana walnut pancake. It was delicious but I prefer a thinner, crispier pancake. Just my preference but the taste was good. Home fries: 5/5 GF and I Great potatoes. Fresh onions and peppers. Seasoned nicely. Lattes: 4/5 GF and 4.8/5 ME Iced caramel and iced vanilla oat milk. They were good. I ordered a bacon, onion and Cabot cheddar omelet that came with a biscuit. I can't rate this yet because after most of my pancakes and my latte and shared corn beef, I was full. I'll eat this tomorrow!! The total was $74. Well worth the price because I have an untouched meal for tomorrow and my GF had bacon and eggs which were fine.

Three friends and a lovely day at the beach. We went for dinner before heading back up north and…read moredecided to try someplace we've never been. Plenty of spots in the parking lot and easy to pay for 2 hours on the app - signs don't say what time the "meters" go off, but with 2 restaurants sharing the lot, we figured you probably have to pay until at least 8 pm, and we were early (5:30 ish). Got seated quickly, in a booth near a wide opening out to the beautiful patio on the water. Rather warm in the restaurant and there were overhead fans that weren't rotating, but it wasn't uncomfortable. We'd have had to wait a bit for an outdoor table, and anyway it was a hot humid day and night so indoors suited us just fine. One friend had the lobster bisque, served with a good chunk of a bread that looked tasty (she's not a bread lover but she enjoyed it so it must have been delicious) and she really liked the soup. Then she added another appetizer, spicy garlic shrimp. Generous portion of 6 shrimp. My other friend had the crabcake & shrimp plate, which came with a side salad that our waitress was savvy enough to bring first when our other friend was enjoying her soup. Some crumbled feta on the side salads, a nice touch. When she ordered, my friend asked if the crabcake had a lot of breading and our server assured her that it doesn't; that turned out to be accurate! I also got that side salad with the Ahi tuna bowl I ordered. This was a bowl of dry, bland white rice (might have been jasmine rice but not strong flavor). On one side atop the rice was a good portion of seaweed salad, which I love. Piled sort-of artistically on the other side of the rice mound were several small slices (6? 7?) of perfectly "black and blue" tuna crusted with both black and white sesame seeds. The fish and salad were delicious but not terribly filling. I ate most of the rice. I noticed that there was a marinade at the bottom and began to mix the rice with the marinade that was tasty. They do add 2.5% for credit cards, but that's fair enough these days. Entrées are on the pricey side, I thought ($39. for the crab/shrimp dish, 32 for my tuna, 12 for the lobster bisque), but there aren't any bargains dining out these days. We had no complaints, other than my somewhat dry rice. I'd like to give it 3 1/2 stars but will err on the generous side. We'll probably return next year on our beach day!

Well, I returned with my friend after we had a less than stellar visit previously…read more I think maybe don't have too many high expectations for the food and just come for beers and the view. We ordered the Margherita pizza. It was just okay, not bad but also just not delicious. Sauce was a little bland, like it was missing garlic or seasoning. The mussels were good however we had asked if they could be prepared without the chilies. We were told yes by our server (who was a dear really, she was great I don't really blame her for anything) that they could leave out the chilies. Well we ordered them and there was definitely chilies! My friend could not eat them at all. I like spicy and even my eyes were watering. I just question getting bread rolls served with the mussels when the usual service is sliced toasted bread. So, as I said, I think just temper your expectations. This place does have the beautiful view going for it.
