Running behind this year ahead of Thanksgiving, I needed an option that would be same day and every once in a while, my procrastination pays off in the form of a new, better option! I called George on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and asked if he could sharpen 45 knives and two scissors (basically all of our cutlery) same day if I dropped off at 9 am and picked up at 5 pm. I was shocked and happily surprised when he obliged. His shop is located on the side of his house and I met him in the morning and dropped off the knives as promised. He texted me early in the afternoon to let me know they were done. He was out front of his home waiting for me at 5 pm when I picked them up. My husband was so impressed at how sharp the knives were! When other reviewers say they're really sharp - they are (but in the best possible way)! Sharp knives are a joy to work with. We own primarily Wusthof and Henkel knives and we are so pleased with the quality of George's work. His prices are reasonable - especially considering the quality of his work and same day service! He cleaned all the knives after he finished. They were wrapped in paper and taped. Completely professional all the way! I cannot recommend George enough.

Well that time came and we called ahead to make sure they had a decent selection and if they sharpen knives, the said yes to both so we headed down. It was New Year's Day so I wasn't expecting much action, but the new location is beautiful and they have it set up wonderfully. I brought 4 knives to sharpen including several high end Japanese knives. I have only ever had them wet stone sharpened so I was a bit nervous. $10/knife was a great price so I gave it a shot. I am very pleased with how they all turned out, but with knife sharpening time will be the test, they are often very sharp off the start and quickly dull. What I was most impressed with, was the staff! They were wonderful to talk to, super knowledgeable and friendly. Their selection is phenomenal and I can't wait to add to my collection and get a pair of hair sheers for my wife. And yes my boy got his Swiss Army knife and was over the moon. Their pocket knife collection is great, their Swiss Army knife was okay not amazing, but he found one he wanted!

Will immediately recognized that the last guy to sharpen my knives did a horrible job, damaging the edges. Within minutes, Will repaired the damage, sharpened the knives, and made them look like they were brand new. I ran home and got five more knives, and Will did a magnificent job sharpening all of them. I expected the cost to be much higher than it was, but it was more than fair. The next time I see his van, I'm going to bring my serrated knives.

I had 5 knives that needed some TLC and they were returned in even better condition than new…read more Before finding Mr. Sharp, my knives were chipped, bent, off-balance, etc and it wasn't tolerable anymore. I couldn't even cut an apple anymore. He put in some serious work and got them to where they should be and even better. I had two Japanese knives and 3 standard chefs knives (JA henckels, Chicago cutlery). I never thought I'd enjoy cutting with the Chicago cutlery as much as I enjoy the Japanese knives but that's how nicely he made them! I also got some great advice on upkeep, including adjusting some of my cutting habits and knife storage. Everything was returned nicely wrapped and in a timely manner ! Super responsive and great value. Will only be using him for sharpening going forward.

I once took knives to a guy at the local farmers market who ran his business out of his truck and it was terrible. He did his work with a bench grinder and made a mess out of the cutting edge! When I checked out Delta Sharpening, I was pretty skeptical. No reviews, no background, but I liked his responses to my questions and comments, so decided to try him out. Brought him 5 knives of various pedigree, 2 that were at least 40 years old but I use all the time, a favorite pocket knife that I could never get sharp and a couple newer ones. When I picked them up, they were the sharpest I have ever seen! Jeff's pricing is very reasonable, especially for the results, and he's a very amiable guy, which just adds to the experience. I know this is his first review, which would make me skeptical if I were looking, but give him a try. I'm willing to bet you'll be pleased as well.
