I just had the most amazing time At NWKW and MMTS. Stewart greeted us and made us feel so Welcome. I Told Him for The last Several Years when visiting for My birthday we would stop by and I would throw some axes in their throwing alley. He wished me a happy birthday and set me up for some axe throwing. A quick refresher course and an axe thrower I became. Such fun. Stewart was awesome to talk with. It seemed like we were old friends. He sharpened and oiled my bench made pocket knife and I checked out the inventory. I not only bought a few axes I walked away having a great experience and learned so much more about axes, knives, sharpening and maintaining your collection. Definitely worth visiting for your sharp needs and meeting Stewart. Thanks again Stewart You made my birthday celebration that more memorable. Next visit won't be so long. I will definitely be being my collection to be sharpened.

Very friendly service and knowledgeable sales staff made the transaction a breeze. I was looking for quality knives but to find the artist made knives made my day. I received the knives via UPS but I'm still waiting on the heavy rock. But as soon as I get it I'll post more pics. If in the Napa area go check them out. You'll be glad you did

I walked by New West KnifeWorks and admired their paring knives from the window. This was around the time that Ataúlfo mangoes were in season and we were buying them by the case from Costco. Fast forward a few weeks later and we found ourselves in St. Helena again. This time we went in to check out the knives and were sold on their petty knives. Looking at the grip, amazing craftsmanship, and design, I imagined myself cutting into those ripe mangoes at home! Dascia, the salesperson, was really helpful and knowledgeable. There are baskets along the walls to place knives that we touched or checked out so they can be properly sanitized. We also bought a small potato masher which we have been using for avocados. If you're even curious about what an amazing knife feels like, check out New West KnifeWorks the next time you're in the area! The next time I visit, I really want to check out the ax throwing section in the back!

I happened upon this shrine to top quality cutlery while exploring the shops of downtown St. Helena. After my visit, I discovered this isn't just a knife store. It's a store dedicated to top quality cutlery crafted by people who are passionate about what they do. I was immediately greeted by the friendly and beautiful Dascia, who walked me through the displays. They have everything from pocket to camping to kitchen knives. The knives all come from different dealers who bring their own flare and personality to everything from the handle to the blade. I was particularly interested in kitchen knives since my brother's birthday is around the corner. Dascia was more than happy to show me the differences and let me handle some of the displays off the wall. These knives are expensive and should only be purchased for those who are serious about their cutlery care. I'm still considering it, but I was impressed either way by the store and her service!

If you like high-end kitchenware, you have got to check the store out…read more It was quite the learning experience for me, I had no idea Zwillings owned so many high-end companies Zwilling Henckels Miyabi BSF Demeyere Staub Fontignac Ballarini I came away very impressed. That is a hard hitting lineup. The sales were very exciting. First there was a storewide 20% off sale. And then some of the individual pieces had some pretty impressive reductions. However, remember this is an outlet store. I found some of the most heavily discounted equipment had cosmetic flaws. On the other hand, I went to the Le Creuset store two decades ago and got myself a Dutch oven which had a cosmetic flaw, and that thing has been working great the whole time. But before you go to town, check to see if the warranty is in effect. It's kind of pity that my kitchen is so well stocked with equipment. Between the discounts and the excellent selection, I would been in deep trouble with this store several decades ago. While it's easy to focus on the knives and the cookware there is a lot more to the store. They carry an incredible number of small kitchen accessories that can solve common problems. The expert and friendly sales person showed me a really nice magnetic bar, which can be used to mount knives in otherwise wasted spaces in the kitchen. Unfortunately, for the sales person, I already had one of these. But I can definitely testify that this is an incredibly useful device. Some people complain that magnetic bars ruin your knives. But you have to know the trick to using them. Basically you have to kind of peel the knife off the magnetic bar and this prevents scratching and other minor damage. Also, if your knives are looking scratched, there is a whetstone with an incredibly fine grit that will put a mirror polish on your knives. Scratches are not the disaster you think they are. So stop feeling bad about all your kitchen problems and go to this store which has more solutions than you realize. Remember to bring your knives if you need them sharpened.

At first I thought it was Samy that answered the phone because the person sounded pleasant and patient; found out it was different employee named Annemarie. She must've answered about 10 questions I had, and each time she had a detailed answer and made suggestions and recommendations regarding the Miyabi line, which had great pricing against online retailers and even Costco, which had a roadshow featuring Zwilling products in Elk Grove! Annemarie was pleasant, patient and personable. She made the phone call a damn good pleasant experience. Whoever trained these two exceptional employees outta be commended by their DM! I will be making the 55 min drive for both the great product and exceptional service real soon!

There was no consistency in arrangements with many brands spread out over half the store. Many items matched what was currently in store, so my close guess would be that they carry seconds or minimally damaged/returned items. The few Le Creuset they did have were mainly in dirt brown and cerise, items that could be found online for the same price or lower. The service wasn't helpful or friendly and the store felt more like a Goodwill than the higher quality I was used to with Williams Sonoma. The final straw came when our items were rang up as the final sale price wasn't clear on the screen and didn't match the percentage listed on the shelf. Overall, there was nothing positive about this store so we never plan to return.

Often I'm finding items that are still on sale on their main site. My recent find was a stone mortar and pestle that was 40% off. It's such a beautiful piece - an "own it for life" quality item - and thanks to WS outlet the value was great. I do give 4/5 stars due to the "no returns" policy. There have been occasions where here I passed on a purchase because I didn't feel confident enough. First force you to be very intentional and give the item a good once over. Other "buy it for life" items I've purchased have been a roasting pan, Thanksgiving and X-mas linens, and martini glasses.

And the company Mugnaini did a wonderful job making the oven and installing it for us. What is so disappointing is the poor service and complete lack of willingness by Mugnaini to stand behind their product and mistake. When I ordered my oven I explained to the salesperson that it would be several months before I would be able to assemble it. I was told that the refractory mortar included with the oven had an expiration date but would be good for at least a year. Approximately four months after receiving my oven I began assembly. Upon opening the mortar we found it already dried and unusable. The mortar had a expiration date on the container. The product had in fact expired 4 months BEFORE it had even been SHIPPED. Whether by mistake or a disregard for the date I was shipped mortar that was no good MONTHS before it even left Mugnaini. I figured that mistakes happen and contacted Mugnaini and explained the issue. I even included a photo of the long expired product. I was completely shocked when the Mugnaini representative informed me that they would not stand behind their product and obvious mistake. I was told that I would have to buy more mortar at an exorbitant price from Mugnaini. Further I was told that I could not use mortar from any other supplier so I ordered more from them. This company is in the business of shipping ovens and related items. One would think that they would know how to ship them. Not so! They ship the very expensive mortar only to find a month later that their method does not allow mortar. At that point with my project months delayed soley due to Mugnaini's many mistakes they then informed me that I could easily buy replacement mortar from several sources on Amazon for a fraction of their overpriced product. In short, Mugnaini shipped defective and unusable products then tried to gouge me on a replacement for their mistake and lied about its availability elsewhere. I strongly suggest that anyone considering this oven do a lot of investigation before purchasing. There are lots of alternatives available from companies that stand behind their products and provide quality customer service. I would be happy to provide photo documentation of every fact represented in this review.
