This is one of my favorite restaurants I went while being on the island. This is where I had my favourite kind of mussels besides the traditional ones. Here I had tomato and basil pesto tomatos! They are amazing! Actually all the food and drinks we had here were really good! My Mom got seafood chowder to eat and my Grandma got seafood chowder poutine which was fries with the seafood chowder soup on it. They really like there runs here so the menu is fun to read. This place is located right facing the water and right beside "Dave's Lobster", it was great!

Eating out in Charlottetown is quite expensive, as the food prices are significantly higher than in other cities like Toronto. Expect to spend at least $55+ for lunch (two people, before tax/tip) and more for dinner. However, the prices here are on par with other seafood restaurants in Charlottetown. Brakish was the very first restaurant that we ate at upon our arrival in the city back in 2016. It's a seafood-centric restaurant located on the historic Charlottetown Harbour. There, we had a very casual lunch before going sight-seeing around the downtown Charlottetown. I opted for the PEI Lobster + Crab Roll ($20) - lobster and crab mixed with lettuce, lemon, parsley, caramelized onion mayo, on top of split bun with fries as my entree. The lobster roll was toasted, and there was a substantial portion of lobster meat. The lobster to mayo ratio was perfect. I enjoyed it very much! Many of the restaurants in Charlottetown that has a large seafood-based menu are often opened seasonally only. So please note that Brakish do temporarily closed for the winter season.

I've been dreaming of seeing Prince Edward Island ever since I was a little girl and read the entire series of Anne of Green Gables. My obsession was further instilled that same summer when PBS aired the series during a donation drive. With that said, I was delighted to get a taste of PEI as well and Brakish made it a wonderful experience. Their seating is located next to a charming little marina with lovely boats making for a charming view. The waitress was warm and friendly (she even said "eh" at the end of a few sentences), the manager came over and took time to speak with us and gave us a little PEI trivia book so we could play a little game with each other at the table. He was rather funny when we told him we found the resto using Yelp, he smiled and said that was, "a very American" thing to do, LOL. At the time we were the only tourists as their season had not yet started so we were surrounded with locals. The food was amazing. My husband and I started with the Mussels, some of the best I've had. We went on to have the Lobster Roll, which tasted very fresh and was seasoned just right. My husband had the Fish & Chip, fresh flaky fish with a tasty batter and creamy Cole Slaw. Just wonderful! The beer was also tasty, we both got the Ale from the PEI Brewery. The food, service and atmosphere made this place PEI perfection!

Tomato and basil mussels with a cup of chowder.

Tomato and basil mussels for the win! Wife had the chicken club wrap with Parmesan fries. Everything exceeded expectations. Local beer to finish and you can't beat this for lunch. Our server, Andrew, was great with recommendations and beer knowledge. Very attentive but not overbearing.

Beautiful patio on the harbour

Regular visitors to the island, we heard about this place from the staff at our hotel, on its opening night for the season, and we're so glad we tried it out! Definitely the best fish and chips, and the best lobster roll on the island. And the Parmesan fries? These are amazing! To top it off, a layered dessert in a mason jar was perfect. The service was quick, attentive, and very friendly. With what are also the best cocktails we've had anywhere on the island, Brackish is going to be a regular favourite during our visits!

Blueberry Beer and Bacon Steamed PEI Mussels

I had the Blueberry Beer and Bacon Steamed PEI Mussels which were very tasty. The serving was quite large as well. This place has a great outdoor seating area with benches, live music and games. My only complaint about this restaurant was that the only type of lobster they serve is on a lobster roll.

Lobster roll and fries. (I had already taken a couple bites.)

Really enjoyed the lobster rolls we had. The fries were good too and a very substantial portion size. We visit New England often and this lobster roll was on par with the best we have had in US. Nice selection of local craft beer as well. Service was prompt and pleasant although we ate early so we weren't competing with many other diners. There are plenty of places to get lobster rolls on PEI but I can certainly recommend Brakish.

It was a bright afternoon, with the sun shining through the clouds after a day of rain. We…read moremeandered down a pleasant pedestrian only street in the bustling metropolis of Charlottetown and came upon the Cork & Cast. We were cheerfully greeted at the door and promptly taken to a table for our meal. The kids menu did not disappoint, with high quality pasta presented elegantly in a curved bowl. Salads and sandwiches, including one lobster roll, also met expectations. The chowder was rated 10/10, on account of light broth combined with hearty pieces of seafood. The one area for improvement was the unfortunate failure to distinguish between brands of cola when ordering. Despite asking for Coke, we were brought Pepsi without the requisite warning. Would return!

We were sat outside immediately and Lauren our server came and took our drink order promptly. We…read morehad a blueberry na beer and didn't care for it, she offered to change it out, did so (took the old one) and charged for both beers. The Arnold Palmer was basically a raspberry lemonade with barely a hint of tea. We had appetizers - she was able to sub scallops for the shrimp(due to our allergies). We had the seafood medley and 2 mini tourtierres. The seafood was good, the smoked salmon was dyed a purple color. The scallops were good, cooked a tad bit too long, but still tasty. The beef tarts were dry and the pastry tough. While our server was enjoyable and pleasant, the appetizers were not the best, and for the price, we won't be back. Head down to the Italian restaurant (Vicinato) - you won't be disappointed!

Best Lobstah in Charlottetown, PEI…read more During our 11‑night cruise from Boston through Maine and Canada, my spouse and I made it our mission to find the best lobster ("lobstah") along the route. After an underwhelming chick lobster in Boston, our hopes were high for Charlottetown, PEI. Right at the port, in front of our ship, we spotted Lobster on the Wharf--a place a friend had recommended from their 2025 cruise. They had just opened at 11 a.m., and there was already a line out the door. We were seated in the main dining room with a beautiful view of the harbour and our ship. Our server, Dave, was clearly busy managing both indoor and outdoor tables, but he greeted us warmly and appreciated that we already knew what we wanted. I ordered the Lobster Claw Caesar, and we started with the Mussels on the Wharf. They were outstanding--steamed in white wine, onions, garlic, and fresh thyme butter. Easily some of the best mussels I've had. For our main course, we each ordered a 2 lb lobster. Mine came with rice pilaf and coleslaw; my spouse chose coleslaw and potato salad. The lobsters arrived steaming hot and perfectly cooked--tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Truly the best lobstah I've tasted. Dave checked on us throughout the meal, and only later did we learn he was also the manager. It was great to see leadership so hands‑on and engaged. If you're visiting Charlottetown, do yourself a favor and book a reservation at Lobster on the Wharf. We walked in right at opening, but by the time we left, the place was packed. A fantastic experience from start to finish.

Ate here after a long day of hiking. Food was mixed, service was poor. Location is great but…read moredining room is crowded. We got appetizers: chowder (overcooked) and beet salad (delicious). For main entrees we had the lobster dinner and the lobster pot pie. Both were delicious and well prepared. The sides with the lobster we chose were potatoes and seasonal vegetables. I would choose something different from the seasonal vegetables next time. Service was poor. We started with one waiter who seemed to be new and untrained. Then another waiter stepped in but forgot about us. We had to ask multiple times for things like drink refills or missing utensils. Just really poor.
