When I got my invoice the technician didn't really go over the car and a week later my brake line broke. Also, I found out from a another auto garage that the part cost 84 and Eagle charged me double- 168. We called Eagle but they claimed they couldn't fully check the brake line...and since they offer a four warranty that was their reasoning to double cost of the part.

I bought my teenager a punchcard so they could get oil changes and tire rotations done on their own and keep up the basic maintenance on their vehicle. After taking their vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation, Cruz at EAS on Chatfield notified us that there were several additional service items that needed to be taken care of on the vehicle. Several of the items were noted as emergency items that were apparently safety issues. After calling EAS and talking with them, I told them that I just wanted them to do the oil change and the tire rotation and that I would not be doing the service there and they demanded to know why not and where I would be taking the vehicle. I told them that it was my business where I took my vehicle for service and I do not need to provide them with that information, and they stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and they would need a signature from us in order to release it, and Cruz then stated that they were not going to do the tire rotation - which had already been paid for, and then hung up the phone on me. When my teenager went in to pick up the vehicle, they again tried to pressure them and make them provide a signature, saying that they were taking away a vehicle that was unsafe to drive in another attempt to get them to pay for services that were not needed. This is the second time that this has happened to my teenager at EAS when taking their vehicle in for a simple oil change and tire rotation, once at the EAS location on Crestline, and once at the EAS location on Chatfield. Both times they attempted to scam us and pressure my teenager into several thousand dollars of unnecessary repairs and tell them that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. My teenager was almost in tears, thinking that their vehicle was unsafe and they would need to buy a new vehicle. After picking up the vehicle, we took it to an independent mechanic of our own choosing, who looked at the list that EAS provided and started laughing. After doing a thorough inspection of the vehicle, the independent mechanic stated that the vehicle was not unsafe to drive. EAS had stated that the brakes were at a level three, which is considered unsafe, but the independent mechanic stated that the rear brakes were at a lev four and the front brakes were at a level five and six. The independent mechanic also looked at the brake fluid, which EAS said needed immediate attention and needed to be flushed and changed, and stated that they didn't even know how to check it there and he checked it and said that brake fluid was perfectly clear and there was no issue with it and that EAS was just trying to scam us with another unnecessary repair. The independent mechanic also ruled out several other items that were on the list that EAS stated need attention and stated that the vehicle did not need them at all. This is the second time that EAS has tried to take advantage of a teen driver and make them think their vehicle was unsafe and tried to up-charge them with unnecessary repairs that they thought we would just simply provide a credit card for and sign off on. Both of these locations have been rude and dishonest, especially Cruz at the Chatfield location.

The woman at the front desk, I can't remember her name because I was distracted, but she had strawberry blonde hair -- was extremely helpful and kind, guiding me through everything with patience and understanding. The owner, Doug, personally introduced himself and noticed I was a little stressed, which meant a lot. I left feeling so thankful and blessed that they were able to help me. I was so impressed when I went in for my transmission acting weird, that I scheduled my brake appointment with them in two weeks, and I can confidently say I refuse to go anywhere else now. I've already started referring all my friends here and I just left the shop 30 min ago haha. Yes, quite expensive, don't mind paying for quality, and the service that comes with it. Now, the problem. I brought my car in on a Tuesday morning, for a 9am appointment & left it. I never received a notification they were working on my car, as was the case in the past. At 4pm I finally called them, after hearing nothing, I was told they had been working on it, but, could not find the problem. Okay, I said. Then at 5:05 I received a text that they were now working on my car. Remember, I had a 9am appointment. Car was kept overnight, they never bothered to tell me that it was necessary. I received a call at 11:30am the next day informing the car was done. I asked for a transmission fluid change & for them to install a front license plate bracket. I was told OK. I had not heard from them at 4:30, so I called. The mechanic could not be located & they had not started on my car, or even found out information on the license plate bracket, which can be obtained at ANY parts store. I never imagined they would keep my car overnight again, for simple stuff! I told them to come get me. They just couldn't/wouldn't understand a business man with one car, how it was inconvenient to me. Unfortunately, I cannot use a business that will not keep me in the loop. Based on this fact alone, I will not return.

I live right around the corner from…read moreChristian Brothers, and as convenient as it is to walk to this location, I have learned my lesson in not picking a place in regard to convenience. I went in for a simple oil change, they ended up doing a full diagnostic on my car and told me that there was $3000 worth of repairs that were necessary. I am a single gal who is struggling financially, so to hear news like that was completely overwhelming. I decided to get a second opinion today from a place that I trust, and they assured me that all of those issues were nonexistent. Not only that, but they had to clean up the mess that Christian Brothers left behind in regards to my oil change underneath my car. My brother and sister-in-law had a horrendous experience with this location, a couple of months ago, but I figured they couldn't mess up an oil change. Lesson learned, I will not be coming back to Christian Brothers ever again. I strongly suggest others do research and read reviews before they venture to Christian Brother. They should be ashamed of their work. There is no integrity in what they do. They are just out for your money.

I brought my car in for a stalling issue. The initial diagnosis cost $775 to replace a battery…read morecable and add a ground screw, which felt very high. Afterward, I was told the car had multiple oil and coolant leaks and was quoted an additional $3,500 for repairs. On a car worth about $4,000, this didn't make financial sense. When I declined the extensive repairs, there was no discussion of smaller, interim solutions or things I could try myself; the only suggestion was financing the full amount. The immediate next step was being asked to retrieve my vehicle. The shop was extremely busy, and I left with the impression that they prioritize large, high-cost jobs. Disappointed with the experience and lack of flexible solutions, I will not be returning. Update to my previous review: It's been two weeks since I picked up my vehicle, and I have not observed any oil on my driveway. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. I check my fluids every month, this has never happened to me. There was no offer to repair the damage.
