I took my Audi Q5 to Brakes Plus for a simple oil change, and they convinced me to get a coolant flush as well. That turned out to be a huge mistake. Major Issues After Their Service: Coolant leak started right after they worked on my car. Air intake pipe was not reinstalled properly, causing the car to lose power and stop on the road. Oil leak warning showed up weeks later, and I discovered the oil was completely empty - unacceptable after a recent oil change! They refuse to take responsibility for any of the issues they caused. This was the worst service experience ever - avoid this shop at all costs! Take your car somewhere reputable where they actually know what they're doing. read more

My daughter requested to check the brakes of her car recently because she kept hearing noise on it when driving and braking. The problem on the brakes was lingering for 15 months to address the brakes issue since we bought it to this location with no resolution. We have brought it on this location 3 times in those 15 months period. First, they change the brake pad (premium brakes pads), then the brakes rotor and again the brakes pads recently. I had questioned them about the services done on the brakes. Why do I have to pay caliper labor, rotor matching service and premium brake service within a year if they have done a good job with quality in the beginning. They just cannot explain to me well about these multiple charges and quality of their work. This poor workmanship is not acceptable. read more

My service I requested was to check AC and oil change. They always explain everything to me. The AC is now working again. Before you pay a large amount of money as requested to repair the car AC, you definitely should reconsider. I had a very bad experience at Brake Plus. My car's air conditioner worked fine in the front and rear seats but just wasn't cold enough. So, I came to Brakes Plus to add some refrigerant. After 14 hours of work by the technician, the front seat AC only blew out hot, and the rear AC thermostat was not powered and not working at all. The technician said it would cost $2730 to replace the car's air conditioner compressor and the rear air conditioner thermostat button. During this process, I only signed the agreement for adding refrigerant, but they overcharged me $152 for another type of testing, electrical diagnosis. They said we agreed on it and signed the contract. In reality we never did and so they weren't able to find that signed contract to prove it. So, I complained to Brakes Plus for damaging my car and charging me excessively. They did not refund the overcharged money and did not admit that they damaged my car. I had to go to another auto repair shop to repair the AC of my car. After checking, the other repair shop said that my car's air conditioner was good, the air conditioner compressor was good, and the rear air conditioner thermostat was also good. The climate control connector was simply unplugged, which prevented the AC from blowing cold air, the rear AC to have no power with no air blowing out at all. Now after plugging in the climate control connector, the car's air conditioning is working properly in both the front and rear rows. read more

Such amazing and caring people here, They DONT OFFER tire service so don't go there expecting that, I had a flat and this was the closest car place that I could get to... one of the workers took the time out of HIS day to help me get back up on the road and running again which he truly didn't have to do. I might add that he was super badass too, he got my car lifted up on a downhill-slanted road, as well as managed to put the spare on for me. Very professional and exceptional establishment/work. Almost two years ago I took my car to Brakes Plus on Preston Vineyard in Frisco, TX. I needed new brake pads. After that visit, I had horrible squealing in my brakes. Took it four more times to the same brakes plus and they replaced the brakes pads four times and "put on new rotors" twice. Still almost two years later, the squealing is still there. So, I learned of Caliber from a friend and it was worth a try. Took it there and JD advised me I needed new brake pads and new rotors. After Caliber took pictures of what needed to be done, I find out that Brakes Plus didn't replace my rotors four times. They only resurfaced the rotors four times rather than put on new ones. This is unethical 1) to tell me they are being replaced but only resurfacing them and 2) Resurfacing is never recommended even twice....much less four times! I also learned that if any brake work is done on a 4Runner, the parking brake needs to be reset too. Brakes Plus didn't do this. They never even mentioned it to me. While at Caliber, I also learned there was a crack in my struts and no liquid left. I had to have new Struts and shocks put on as well. I'm dumbfounded Brakes Plus or the Toyota dealership never picked up on this. Based on the pics Caliber took, it's very obvious! IF YOU HAVE A 4RUNNER, DO NOT TAKE IT TO BRAKES PLUS!!!! They do not know what they are doing. This is the second 4runner I've taken there. The first, I had new brake pads put on at a different Brakes Plus and I finally ended up just trading the 4runner in because of the squealing brake sound. After this experience, there is no doubt the issue is with Brakes Plus! Thank goodness Caliber Auto Care saved my car! read more

I decided to look around and found breaks plus, where you can easily schedule an appointment online and prices are posted. Also, they are open on Saturday, dealership service is not. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the nice men that are working there! They helped me to find all the discounts and coupons possible. My experience was I will never go back again with any type of car service even they offer any type of discount because they might raise the price and then discount it. Posted here my another car transmission fluid charge for $109 from Honda dealership and here brakes plus charged $229.15, they said it's because they have to order special fluid for Acura. (This information was given after they released all of the oils so no choice for customer) Then I asked them to show me the receipt as they said they went purchased from Honda dealership but they refused and said it's not my business. I took my SUV in for a bearing replacement and two new belts. An estimate was provided, which I approved. They kindly arranged a ride home and promised to call when my vehicle was ready. A couple of hours later and the call came that my vehicle was ready. What surprised me was the news that I didn't need a new bearing after all and only a new bolt that held it all together. I had approved the work, but they saw that it wasn't needed and only replaced a bolt rather than the full job I had approved. This kindness saved me more than half the estimated and approved cost. Upon waiting for service, political talk quickly took up between customers who were also waiting. What was more disturbing, the front desk person (Ray) engaged in the discussion. 'All women need a 9mm and it's time for Republicans to rise up' says one customer. Then dialogue about Trump and all the good stuff he's doing for the country. Followed by Rays view of former president Barack Obama - 'the only thing he did in 8 years was get new shoes and a new dog.' Loud, arrogant laughs amongst the group of 'good ol boys' erupts. I don't care about your political position - I do care that I am paying for service to a company that is bashing a former president regardless of affiliation. Supporting local is what I was doing with the referral - I would suggest you get sensitivity training for your employees to avoid further negative impact to your business...as we all know the negative experience is shared more than the positive experience. read more

I prescheduled online the replacement of brake pads and rotor repair. When I arrived, the repair technician decided to drive my car recklessly in front of the garage entrances in an attempt to check out the brakes. It was obvious that the pads were gone and metal was scraping on metal. Yet the repair technician did a hard braking with my vehicle at least 5 times, backing up and going forward, as I was counting. I witnessed the incident from the front lobby and immediately told the store representative that I was extremely unhappy with how they were treating my car. The response I received was, "I'm sorry about that." The technician NEVER apologized. The establishment KNEW, as I told them that the pads were gone, and that there was obvious damage to the rotors when I had arrived and even when I scheduled the repair online, yet they decided to abuse my car anyway. When I checked in my vehicle, I asked what the cost would be, and I was told they would tell me that after the free inspection. I was provided 3 different quotes, accepted one and they began the repairs. I also asked if I wanted the rear brakes done. I said no, not thinking that there were disc brakes in the rear also. When I got home and walked around the car, I discovered that there were disc brakes in the back, and they are in a state of also needing replacement. They never questioned my answer to not do the rear brakes, and never explained to me that they were just about to fail with almost no pad surface on the brakes. You can view the pads and rotors without ever having to move the car, yet this technician decided to test them out anyway. further reducing the likelyhood that they could be replaced. I had my cars serviced there a few times in the past, but I have decided that Brakes Plus no longer has my best interests in mind so I will go elsewhere for service. I also have a notion to create a website explaining this repair action in detail and let the world know what Brakes Plus service turned into. Thanks but no thanks! Brakes Plus! read more

Not only did Brakes Plus come highly recommended by a co-worker friend, but Ray himself. And I was not let down in the slightest. Ray took care of me from the moment I stepped into the door and provided me with a pleasant, knowledgeable conversation. Often times my unique little car (I drive a Smart Fortwo) provides a challenge for some auto maintenance facilities. Came here on a Saturday and it was packed. They didn't even have enough parking and I had to park on the street. I had originally made an appointment for 1pm, but called that morning and was able to move it to 11:30am. They were able to diagnose for free, that I needed new brakes on both axles, which I already kind of knew. They were able to do this within an hour of when I dropped off the car. They did sell me on replacing the hardware on the calipers and gave me a $25 discount per axle on the upgraded pads. Of course the pads are guaranteed for life. They called me over the phone and the car was ready in 2 hours after that. All in all a pleasant experience. read more
