I arrived at this location without an appointment. Glen, at the front counter, greeted me and was very friendly and kind. I just wanted to get a brake inspection and nothing else. Within 10 minutes, Irvin the technician, took my vehicle for a test drive and then put it in the bay. After a few more minutes they were done and told me all was well with my truck. Their honesty and great customer service is the reason I am typing up this review. They didn't try to sell me anything else either. I think many people fear going to shops, thinking that they will just get lied to and ripped off. Not the case here! I highly recommend this facility. I was visiting family in the area week and my breaks started making a funny noise. Felt very slippery. As I knew I had long drive back I had to get it checked out. I found break masters online and went in. They were very friendly and professional. I think the owner was there too and he was very courteous to me. After he mechanic checked out my car they told me what needs to be changed and I also needed an oil change. My car is leased but They don't cover service and last time I went the prices were outrageous! I called my uncle who owns a mechanic shop and he told me the prices they were giving mewere very fair so I got the job done. Overall I was really satisfied with everything they did for me! I set an appointment online and it gave me the choice of 8:30am drop off. I completed the process and was excited to get my squeaky brakes fixed. I get there at 8:15am to make sure I knew where it was. I pull up at 8:33am to give a couple minutes for the doors to open and it is a ghost town. I call the number for the shop and hear the voicemail thats says their hours changed to 9am open and I go back to the street parking and wait until 9am. I pull around at around 9:15 to make sure I gave ample time in case an associate is running late because I have been there and it still has not opened. I wait until 9:20ish before I drive away. I am not sure if they look at the appointments made online because I made my appointment a couple days beforehand and wished someone contacted me to let me know they would be closed. I understand the staff shortage but gas is expensive dudes. read more

This place is fantastic. I was having problems with my brakes vibrating. I went to Big Brand tire they said there were ok. (They were not !) I took it to Infinity they said they could replace the brakes for around $450.00 way over priced. Talk to Steve and he said you do not need all that just a resurface the cost $128.00. What a great price and now finally the brakes are perfect. I am particular who i take my car too. I will only take my car here for brakes and other jobs they do. Dont waste your time getting ripped off bhy other brake companys these guys are the greatest and easy to deal with. There should be more honest car repair places like this. Thanks Steve! read more

I cannot say how happy I was with the customer service I got at Brake Masters, specifically from the manager, Trevor Schwan. The plastic protective sheet underneath my car's engine just fell off and was dragging under the car. I had to get it towed, and Trevor's shop was within my towing distance. He said that it probably wouldn't be a big deal to fix. He was right. His employee reattached it so that I could get back home to Los Angeles. i waited for maybe 10 minutes, total. And, I wasn't charged a single penny. I didn't think people helped people like this anymore. If you need anything fixed on your car, go see Trevor and Brake Masters. Brought my car in for an alignment and was immediately impressed by how well kept the waiting area was. They even had a little play area for the little ones. They honored the referral price I was given and didn't try to sell me on anything else while I was there, which was nice. They brought my car in for the alignment, but then their computer went down. Eric, the manager, said I could wait another 10 minutes for him to try to fix the issue or I could make an appointment and come back. I had already invested 10 minutes so I figured I'd wait. Waited another 10 minutes and unfortunately they couldn't fix the problem that day. I was a little disappointed by this point, but Eric said he would make it right and do the alignment at no charge once their machine was up and running again. I was a bit skeptical that would happen and left thinking I would have to find another place to get it done. Early the next week Eric called me and we set the appointment to have my alignment done. Took my car in and I was in and out in under 20 minutes and again, no hard sell on any other products or services. I was extremely happy with the way I was treated. Clean waiting area, professional staff, and no BS. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Recently I took my car to Brake masters for an oil change, brake inspection and a free tire rotation, services they have done for years. I was told they how charge $20.00 for the tire rotation even though they have to take the tires off to check the brakes. Going to look for another full service shop. read more

Super honest!! Brought in my family mini van for a break check because the brakes felt funny and we were headed out on a post COVID road trip. Trevor inspected them and said they had a slight warp but are safe and nothing to worry about. He could have suggested replacing them but took the honest high road. This is the type of mechanic shop you want to work with! Five plus Stars! I brought my 2009 Xterra in for a brake check because the brake pedal was all of a sudden feeling squishy and slowly going to the floor. They diagnosed a master cylinder issue and the need for front pads and rotors. All made sense. I did the work. But it didn't solve the problem. That's when the fun began! Trevor and a great mechanic - Ephron - started troubleshooting. They worked on my car for literally an entire afternoon and half of the following day. They changed out a few other parts, bled the brakes numerous times, worked with the ABS system, tried a variety of things suggested in shop manuals. They had me come test the pedal and when it still wasn't good they went right back to work. In the end, my brakes are fixed! My brakes are awesome! And my bill was only for what they initially quoted me. Trevor and Ephon went above and beyond what I've experienced in most mechanic shops. They listened to me - a female with a lot of experience around cars. They kept trying to find the missing puzzle piece until they did. They didn't charge an arm and a leg and they stood behind their work. I would highly recommend this shop. I will be certainly bring my car back here again when I'm in Ventura and need work done. Went in for brakes, been a satisfied customer for years. They damaged my vehicle. I went back several times but they made the problem go from clicking and gas pedal jittering to all that plus metal on metal scraping sounds. I contacted the owner and they assured me management would contact me and resolve the situation. They did no such thing. Fantastic turnaround time and friendly staff! I took my Jeep to get an alignment at a couple other shops in town and the shops I've taken it to were either too busy to address the issue, even with an appointment, or asked to hold my Jeep overnight for an alignment fix. Those were all red flags for me and none of the shops were able to fix the alignment or told me nothing was wrong. Luckily I was referred here and Trevor was able to identify the issue right off the bat since it clearly showed my tires were NOT aligned. Trevor and the mechanic fixed my issue within the hour and first try. Trevor and the other mechanics are detailed oriented and down to earth so my appt was pleasant and quick. I highly recommend Brake Masters. I brought my car in to see what was wrong with it, and they ran a free diagnostic on it. That alone saved me $130 that the dealership quoted me. Wait for new, new management. Trevor recommended new brakes. I agreed but asked to see the brake pads. He asked me to come in early before my appt and I showed up to give them "time to pull the wheels off," which they have to do anyway. At my urging, Trevor finally put it on the rack and I found the brake pads had over half (at or almost at 2/3) of the pad remaining. Mechanic was embarrassed.
