I have been going this location for about 30 years. I took my new vehicle twice recently for oil change. First time the mechanic did not wash his hands left a bunch of grease/oil marks on the door handle ,steering wheel, shifter. I thought it was an isolated incident so I cleaned it. I went back again second time and same thing happened , now there was oil marks on the floor mat ,door handle ,steering wheel shifter and visors. I spoke with the manager Anthony to relate my disappointment. He did apologize. I told him I will not be at the store no more due to the carelessness and about this happening twice. In addition, I thought it was kind of unprofessional for a business to be blasting loud vulgar rap music, talking about p**** and f*** in the bay. This store number 104 hasn't been the same in my opinion since Austin the manager left to another store. read more

Brake Masters - Visor - Auto Repair Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I brought a used car in to be inspected before I purchased it. Store Manager Austin Fuller was very accommodating and agreed to do the inspection on a Saturday afternoon with only about 15 minutes notice. He was very thorough and knowledgeable, showed me his concerns, and answered my questions. I would definitely return to this location for future service. read more

I called late Monday afternoon to get an oil change, made an appointment for Tuesday at 9am. I got there at 855, was greeted by Austin (manager) when I walked in - he took my keys and my car was ready at 930. Fast, efficient and honest service at a good price. I'll be going back. read more

He helped us understand the things going on with my and just provided an excellent experience. They have lots of coupons to help you with the price. Also they have a punch card for oil changes which is awesome. I will definitely come back here again. read more

I had a really bad customer experience at Brake Masters Today (Location #104_5810 E. Speedway). Please let this manager know that a simple "I'm sorry sir" goes a long way with people and that taking 1 hour and 45 minutes after scheduling an appointment for an oil change is ridiculous, and then placing the blame on the customer is just plain unacceptable. If you do all that then at least apologize to your customer, please. Then reviews like this are unnecessary. (Here is the full story) I scheduled a 9:30am appointment for an oil change and dropped it off at that time. I was told it would be an hour for the oil change and that was fine because I was going to breakfast with my wife. I got a call at 10:53am asking about changing my air filter and cabin filter and I declined the work. When I went to pick up my car at 11:15am my vehicle was still on the lift. This is when my customer service experience went really poorly. I told the manager that I had a 9:30am appointment and that I was surprised the car was still on the lift. He told me that it was on the lift because they needed to see if I was going to authorize the air filter work. I told him it is 11:15am (1hr & 45min later) and at some point, I would suspect that they would just do the oil change and have my car ready. He said he had tried to call me twice and was waiting on me but my call log only shows one phone call that I missed and I called him back in less than a minute. He then told me the oil change was already done and he was waiting on me to authorize the work so they could take it off the lift. It was obvious he was not happy with me asking questions and was starting directly in my eyes and was already arguing with me. He was hostile in tone and demeanor to say the least. At this point, I was starting to get mad and I diffused the situation because getting into an argument with this guy was going to do nobody any good. He offered no apology at all but put the blame on me for the car being on the lift even though he had 20 minutes after our phone call to get the job done. But then it gets even better. The car remained on the lift for another 10 minutes after this exchange because they HAD NOT done the oil change yet. The manager, who I had the interaction with, had to go out to the technician twice to make sure he was rushing the job. So, not only did he tell me something that wasn't true, "your oil change is done...we were waiting on you", he had to go rush to get the job done. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, this is a great time to apologize to the customer. Nope! This manager needs additional training. I was simply looking for a "Hey, I am sorry we are running a little behind" but was not expecting him to put the problem back on me. It was obvious he was ready to go toe to toe with me in an argument as he stared me directly in the eyes for a good long while. I left angry but I wasn't going to argue with this guy. I am simply going to post my honest review online to several places about my experience. read more

Honest, helpful, gave me an appointment the same day and lived up to their word. I got a lifetime guarantee on the brakes and they only sold me what I needed. Great company and friendly staff. I'm a dedicated customer. read more

I own a classic sports car and extremely particular of who-where I take the car. Brake Masters was recommended to me by a reliable source. The car went through a rigorous inspection and dealt with accordingly. The Manager, Oscar was over-the-top professional and the results were quite positive. Never did I feel hesitant or misled. I highly recommended Brake Masters on Speedway Blvd and Pantano Rd. Give Oscar a call to request service and make an appointment. Thanks! N. Cooper read more

Not a full review. Called a day in advance and scheduled an oil change + inspection at the time they suggested (9am). Showed up at 8:50 the next day and they told me that I would have to wait in line for two hours. Will go elswhere. read more

My car literally was on the last drop of oil and needed to be changed BAD. The closest search to any service was brake masters, so I call. The man on the phone was Austin, he had mentioned a realistic time of an hour till an hour and a half service. When I got there he saw that I had a big family with me and was able to help me sooner. I swear I haven't seen service this fast in I don't know how long. Thanks man! read more

I'm pretty pleased with this Brake Masters. I stopped by on a lark because of some weird noises I'd hear in my car, and they got my car in promptly and looked at. Initially there were no problems found but I explained more indepth and they did more test driving and kept checking everything out. They even brought me out and showed me what they found. Turned out, the previous place (not Brake Masters) had done something weird during the brake repair. So they recommended some stuff for me to do and sent me on my way- no charge at all for all their testing! I'll be back here! read more

The manager Oscar is horrible. He thinks women don't know cars. Tried to convince me my A/C needed a new compressor, supposedly put dye in to find leak. I went back and asked them to show me leak, the mechanic and him had a conversation in spanish and wouldn't show me anything. Went to another mechanic who charged my A/C and said there was no leak. When I need some kind of repair on my car, this is the only place I go to. Roger, the manager, and his staff are absolutely wonderful. Roger is honest, friendly and informative. His mechanic is very competent and hard worker. They will only repair what is needed and show you the problem before doing the job. And on top of that, their prices are very reasonable! They will not rip you off like many mechanics...sadly Fyi, I only go when I know Roger is working because I know the nessecary repair will get done right, efficiently and at a reasonable price! read more

Danny and his team took care of my daughter's car. (My car) she is in Tucson for school. I live over 2000 miles away. I was visiting her. I know now that she come here at any time. Very nice and helpful, Roger was very helpful explaining what they were going to do to my car. Even gave me a discount on my oil change

So I took the car in many months ago well after the brake estimate to finally get it done with overtime money I earned. It took about 1/2 day to get it back as promised and actually was only about $500, not $700 since there was a part that was obsolete and once tightened or they hit it, it was ok again was about $200 of that charge that didn't apply. They did, however, say the back left wheel bearing needed replacing which made no sense, since R&G tire said it was the front left?? That was over $200, I declined and it is still riding ok to this day. I am late it writing this review, but had another recent experience I post separately. It is great to have my brakes in top shape again! I chose the lifetime warranty, it was just a little more than the limited warranty New review from 12-9 experience.. I had a weak start on my car for a few days that seemed like the last time the starter went out. I have a battery w/2yr warranty from auto zone for about less than 16months old, but I didn't know which it was, starter or battery. I got a tow on Saturday to brake masters since I have the lifetime warranty on the starter. When I got there, I met a new manager, Chris. He checked it out at no charge, since I told him when I called I had no money at this time. He said it was a loose battery cable and tightened it. He said I was missing the battery bracket "stabilizer" and could get one at a junkyard, Mitsubishi dealer or auto zone for about $17. I was relieved. I still have an oil leak and in the 3 places possibly, with a previous price quote, but he looked at it again. He said he put in almost 2qts of oil no charge for me and gave his "honest opinion, no disrespect" but he thinks I should get another car. He said he used to work at a Mitsubishi shop/dealership and my engine needed complete resealing at a tune of about $1500 and would be held up for 3days plus other problems like my struts or shocks, etc on top of that. I don't think I believe him and will continue to put money into this car that I love just like the motorcycle my b/f owns we've dumped thousands into over about 3-4yrs. That is how I spend my money, on our vehicles we love, not clothes or going out to eat. That is BS. This visit was bittersweet because he didn't tell me he jumped the battery. Sundays they are closed and the battery died stranding me again on Sunday at home. I knew I had to do something since I had to drive to work Monday morn early, so I took the battery off and charged it, put it on, it started but it didn't restart later, I tested it while it was on the car, it was losing charge. The battery was bad. Good news, I live around a corner from the auto zone I carried it to last time, bad news is I changed my phone # so no record of the warranty, no receipt from 8/16. . Carrying the battery was hard no handle I put it in a box. When I got there, they tested it and said it was bad. When they looked up by name it showed previous phone #s I used. Luckily it found the one I used and they gave me a new one for free. They were out of stock on the battery stabilizers. Popular item. Bad news is, my car cannot "remember" to hold an idle and stalls at lights and stops like the last time it was replaced and I brought it to the repair shop, Dave's near the DMV before and he charged me $100 for 1hr hooking up a computer to it. So this "Chris" didn't test to see if it was the battery or what else it was leaving me stranded. This left mixed feelings about him and this location now. Where is Roger??? read more

I love the service provided by Roger the manager and his staff of mechanics. Their work is great and prices much better than dealerships.

What can I say ...Tony is amazing and got us in and out within a couple hours and for far less than expected. My parents were here visiting and I noticed their brakes where in desperate need of repair the afternoon before they were scheduled to leave. Yikes! Tony went above and beyond to make sure they could get home safely. He even found a coupon for us to use. I would highly recommend this shop. Geoff was even kind enough to give us a ride back to another vehicle so we didn't have to sit there and wait. read more

I went to this Brake Masters today because I figured my car needed a tune-up since I have been getting terrible gas mileage. Roger assisted me with my car trouble, and he absolutely could not have been nicer or more professional! He showed me the old spark plugs, which were just terrible and used up. He checked my brakes and tires, and was honest with me that they didn't need replacing right away. He found some trouble with another part on my car, and told me what the labor cost would be and how I could get the parts for less money. He found coupons for me to get discounts. He was TRULY helpful and VERY HONEST. That is hard to find in a "car guy" these days! So, I will be going to this Brake Masters from now on, even though it is far from my house--it is worth the drive. I am so glad I have found an honest and kind person to trust my vehicle repairs to. Thanks Roger!!! read more

I came In for a simple oil change and to change my brakes. What ended up happening was that the mechanic talked me into getting a bunch of other stuff done totaling close to $1000. After assuring me that it would take no more than 1-2hours...after 5 hours he FINALLY gave me my car. Do NOT go to this place! Customer service was HORRIBLE read more

Wish I could give no stars. I took my car in for an oil change and they ended up breaking my coolant overflow cap, which led to my car breaking down and overheating on the way to Los Anegeles from Tucson, AZ. Whenever I had my car serviced, after 3 hours I was wondering why I didn't get a call to say it was ready. So I drove by, saw my car parked on the side where finished cars go, and gave them a call to ask about it. They told me my car still had about 15 minutes. Now I realize why they didn't call me, and of course after breaking down, all Brake Masters were conveniently closed the next day! I went in to try and get this matter handled, but since I look young they instantly tried to make it seem like it couldn't be them, and started giving attitude. I told a couple friends about this incident and EVERYONE's response is "why would you ever go there, they are liars and thieves!" Now I understand. Jiffy Lube is the way to do it every time. read more

I love Roger and Tony, great honest and reliable. They have cared for my cars for years and even though I am a woman, I know my cars and wait for them to show me the problem and explain everything. When I had lost my job and my car died they went above and beyond for me. Labor prices are the same as other mechanics as I have checked for myself. Roger is the man to see! Everyone at this location is very knowledgeable and helpful with any service that you need. I've had unpleasant experiences at other locations, but I finally found my home at this location. I haven't had an issue that they haven't been able to fix! Thank you for your amazing customer service and top quality work :) I look forward to future service! read more

We wanted to say thank you to Roger, and his staff, for the hard work that you all put into repairing my car this last Friday. I feel they were very honest and they didnt try to sell you things that you don't need just to make a profit off you. they only show you what you need and give it too u at the best price they possibly could. I bought a battery because AutoZone said it was dead I paid $137 and 2 Days Later my car wouldn't start AutoZone said it was definitely the battery and not the starter I had to have it towed Brake Masters and it was discovered that it was the starter. So I feel like AutoZone just lied to me to buy a battery for no reason. Brake Masters was honest, they checked everything else for me thoroughly and let me know exactly what they were going to do and how much it was and showed us what the problem was before they worked on it and fixed it. My car is now running like a champ! By the w the guy in the front glasses, ROGER, he is very very informative, and helpful, they even gave me free car wash coupons! read more
