[[HIGHLIGHT]]I recently had an issue with lack of power for my Nissan. I barely made it to Brake Masters, Queen Creek. They got me right in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The problem was the throttle body. After about 2 hours it was ready. I started my car up. Same thing happening. They worked on it for another hour. After that, it ran fine for about a week. Same thing started again. Took it in. Said a defective part. It is running fine now. I went to the car wash & went under the hood to blow my engine out. I discovered the engine cover was missing. No one else had been under the hood except Brake Masters. One of the tech's forgot to reinstall it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke with Jeff at Brake Masters about it. He said it the cover is just for decoration and did not offer to replace it[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I will not be going back. Thank you. read more

I had just purchased it through Carvana and they have a return policy so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have it inspected to make sure nothing is wrong before fully committing. Mechanically it was fine but they found a ton of evidence that the car had been in a front end collision that wasn't disclosed. It's something I would not have noticed right away and I would have definitely regretted buying it later when I wasn't able to return it! I returned the car to Carvana and the next day it was back up on their website for sale. Still nothing disclosed about the hidden damage. Do not use them for anything other than brakes. They advertise they are able to do alignments but it is clear the mechanic is under qualified for this. Our car was way out of specifications after the alignment as indicated on the report and the repairman stated the computer was wrong. If the computer is wrong how did you do an alignment? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Further he informed my wife to give it a couple weeks to "wear in" and if it is still pulling we could return and they will realign it. This is completely unacceptable for a repair shop to give such bad advice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Had we driven with a faulty alignment the brand new tires would have began to wear improperly and thereby void the warranty. After a three day struggle and a couple thousand dollars in added repair costs we finally have a car that is properly aligned and drives straight. (Note that the repair costs were fair because the vehicle was found to have a damaged strut). In their credit they didn't overcharge for the service. read more

I scheduled an oil change, a tire rotation and an alignment. They told me it would take about 3.5 hours to complete but sent me an alert an hour after my appointment stating the vehicle was ready. Upon arrival, they charged me for all services and as I drove away my vehicle did not feel any different from when I dropped it off. I returned asking if the alignment had been completed and the person attending the front desk confirmed that it was not. I was charged for a service that was not completed and if it was not for me returning and questioning the service I would have paid for something that was not completed. As I waited for the alignment and rotation to be completed, the individual who initially checked me out came out and stated that they confused my Hyundai with a Nissan and that's where the mix up happened... I do not understand how you work on vehicles and mix up a Nissan with a Hyundai. I did not buy the excuse/explanation. Ownership of their mistake would have been sufficient. The team stated that tire rotation "could" fix the problem, but that I had a bad tire. My thought was weren't you supposed to rotate tires in the first place? In the end I feel this location was not transparent or honest within their process. I do not recommend this location as I have experienced a lack of integrity within their processes and ownership/accountability when it comes to their mistakes. read more

I'm not even a customer here but when I went to auto shops nearby they declined help to me. Story: my engine was nearly out of oil (found engine leak) so I had to run to autozone and put oil in. One problem: my oil cap was LOCKED. It would not budge. I went to a auto place nearby and declined to help. Yet, when I went here I was greeted and I told them my situation. A group volunteered to help and one rushed to my car with pliers to assist me. He held the hood while I did a small twist on my cap and it was fixed. Thank you Thomas, you were pretty awesome. I had went to 7 other mechanic shops and they all declined and gave me a lot of attitude, which shocked me since they were said ti be very good in business. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The older gentleman at the front office had great customer service and showed a lot of courtesy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came in without an alignment appointment for an urgent trip with my 2022 Toyota Tundra. Brought my vehicle in for brakes that were squeaking. Front desk was nice and even offered a coffee -- little did I know that was almost the most expensive coffee I would drink. They quoted me a little over $2,000 for new brakes and rotors. When I told them I just had the rear brakes/rotors replaced at the dealership and questioned why they would need them replaced they said, without blinking an eye, sometimes people make mistakes when installing equipment and it must have been damaged. This place has been telling a lot of lies and gotten good at it. SCAM ALERT! My wife took our 2018 Jeep Wrangler in to have Brake Masters take a look at the breaks because there is an occasional "squeak". After looking at the brakes, the technician came back and said we need new brakes & rotors! Over $1000 in repairs. I was shocked and called for an explanation. They said there was still room to resurface the rotors but they recommended replacement. I told them I was going to take it to get a "second opinion". I took it over to Christian Brothers to take a look at it and they said the brakes look good and we had at least another year before replacing the pads! I would give it half a star but can't, I've brought my vehicle here for 4 years spent thousands and they have went down hill. My brakes have all been redone here and now they won't stand behind their warranty. Be aware they will charge you big time. Maybe it's the times that they are hurting for cash but are wanting to take it out on customers that have been with them for years. I told them to put the car back together and I'll never return. I've been wondering why they're ratings are in the dirt. The good new is their are 2 respectable shops next door with full parking lots and Brake Masters empty...... Be aware... Update, I took my car across the street to Firestone they checked my brake pads and Rotors, turns out I didn't need either my rear pads were in the grey area so I had them change the pads. Brake master told me I needed new rotors on the rear and pads front and back... What a rip off! After 4 years of being a customer and supposedly lifetime warranty after spending over 1000 dollars on my brake system!! Paid 1300 dollars for them to miss diagnosed my car, 2 days later I called them letting them know my car was not fixed and every time my wife dropped it off they would return it saying it's working fine. Now they are saying we need to pay and additional $1700 to fix the same problems that they missed diagnosed. This is there mistake but they expect us to pay for it! read more

A week ago today, I had my oil changed in my Ford dually. A few days later I noticed a few drops of oil on the dirt where I park. I watched and noticed a few drops in the parking lot at work. I thought for sure it would be good till my day off and i would stop in for a fix. Yesterday on my way home I smelled burning oil. Pulled upin my dads driveway and the oil was pouring from the bottom of my truck. It was 525 pm. I called brake masters and he said we close in 5 minutes. We reopen at 730am. I checked the oil in my truck and it's not even registering on the dip stick. I crawled under and the plug is gone. They have either stripped it and it finally fell out, did not tighten it or did not put it back in. Now I have no way to drive it. Can't wait till 730 this morning to see what they do to fix my issue. I plan to post again on the fix....good or bad. Wish me luck. They towed and fixed at no cost to me. This place is horrible. I left my Volvo overnight to get the brakes checked. When I went to pick it up a couple of days later, one of the managers told me the vehicle should be unlocked and the keys are inside. I asked why and he said that's the way they do things since it's under their control. I went out and no keys (100plus degrees by the way) I went back inside and told him that the keys weren't in it. He said the guy took them because the battery had needed a jump the last day or so. I asked him what happened and he couldn't give me an answer and was completely rude and didn't care about my vehicle. He told me they weren't responsible for my battery dying even though it ran fine when I dropped it off. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS CRAPHOLE EVER AGAIN NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES TO ANYONE I KNOW. HORRIBLE! read more

Dishonest and don't honor their own coupons. Went in with coupon for $89 brake service (per axle). After they had the vehicle they charged us $204 (per axle) and said our vehicle didn't qualify for it. We have a very common vehicle. They also spilled brake fluid all over the engine compartment around the brake fluid reservoir and on the painted fender and made no effort to clean it up. Brake fluid is almost like acid on paint. This place is super. I've been using them for the past two years ever since I moved out here. They are nice, honest and they never talk me into doing any work that's not necessary. They actually include tire rotations as part of the oil change service. Service is always super fast too. Just to get an oil change at a dealership, it can take hours. One time I went there to get a tune up. Turns out I didn't need anything done at the time. I pulled out my wallet expecting to pay some kind of service fee and the customer service guy Jeff was like, "You're good sir. Don't let the door hit you on the way out." There was one guy that was a total jerk to me once but I'm pretty sure they fired his behind because I never saw him before and never saw him after. read more

I went in for a simple oil change they called to try to do my spark plugs and both air filters which I just serviced last oil change. No other problems before service. Arriving to pay the cashier was rude and told me I should of had everything done and that my boyfriend pay for it in a pushy way. Made me feel very uncomfortable suggesting someone else pay for MY bills. When we got home my boyfriend said now one of my brake lights are out, how does this happen from an oil change!? I took my car in for an oil change and an AC Check. The manager behind the counter was quite helpful and nice. I was able to get my car in without an appointment and got a courtesy call to come and pick it up in 2 hours. I didn't have an appointment so I was expecting a long wait, I was told they may have to keep my car all day, but I understood because I didn't have an appointment. I passed my keys along, signed the paperwork and left. Two hours go by and I received a call that my car was ready to be picked up! That was fast, I was very surprised with them being done with my car already. They did a great job, kept my car clean and gave me a full report on what they did. They did everything I asked for, didn't try pushing services I didn't want and made me feel comfortable. A lot of mechanic places try to "persuade" women into things they don't need. Luckily I know my cars, so persuading me has never happened. I didn't have to have my guard up here; they respected me and just did what I asked them to do. My wife went in to have our brakes fixed. She called me to tell me that the estimate was $1900. I went there and I was told that our brakes were completely locked up and frozen. I went out and looked at them. They were fine, I told them that we were going to take the truck home. We went back in and they lowered the cost to $700. Wow, I was glad I showed up. I think they were going to take complete advantage of my wife. Think twice before going to there and get another estimate. Whether it is a simple oil change or the time my radiator blew and left me overheating on the side of the road - they are fantastic! Like some of the other reviews, I too was initially hesitant to having my brakes done anywhere other than the dealership. Made a lot of phone calls trying to just get the rotors turned without having to do a full on brake job as the pads were still at 90%. Was able to get the front and back rotors turned along with a brake fluid flush in about 2 hours. The guy who helped me (I think his name was Ty) was straightforward and didn't give me a dog and pony show trying to upsell me on crap I don't need/want like Pep Boys does. While I was waiting in the lobby, I was being nosy trying to overhear what the adviser was saying...I didn't get the vibe he was trying to screw anyone over...most of the people who were in there on the day I was there were snowbirds. Would definitely go back and have future work done there. read more

Went to get my oil changed the other day and was fairly shocked by the lack of care and unprofessionalism. They had opened up my car and checked the filters (located inside the vehicle and one under hood) and was told they had to be changed. When mentioned that we could change that later ourselves the gentleman assisting us got very passive aggressive with us and stand offish. Which I can sort of understand but you should still try to be more professional. What really makes me right this review is what happened after. I went out and was going to put my receipt in my glovebox like I always do and my glovebox just falls right out and everything inside spills. I know for a fact I didn't have an issue with it falling before so I told them and they acted like I was the one at fault for it and the glove box was simply missing it's pieces. They made it seem like I had broken it even though I hadn't (you could very clearly see the filter that they had pulled out in the exact spot the glove box was) and they very reluctantly fixed it for me with a wire (though I'm still missing the pieces which I know I had before). It's truly unprofessional to lie and behave in the manner they did. To top it off; they didn't even fill my oil correctly. As I drove off I had visible smoke coming out of my hood excessively. I opened it to see they had spilled a very sizeable chunk of oil and barely wipped it off my engine so while I drove it would smoke due to the excessive oil all over the front engine. I have had my two vehicles oil changed at this Brake Masters MULTIPLE times. EVERY time I go to get a simple oil changed, the manager, Jeff, tells me I need $400 worth of fixes. "You need new shocks, brakes, transmission fluid flush, tune up, etc". If you don't believe me just go in for one oil change... The last time I was in was the last straw. After telling Jeff I would have my mechanic friend fix my brakes (for half the price) he become obviously irritated and rude that we were not using them to fix our brakes. Roberts tires on Power Rd in Mesa is a further drive for me but well worth it. I HIGHLY recommend them. They won't try to sell me $400 worth of parts every time I go for an oil change. read more

If you need an oil change I highly recommend NOT going to Brake Masters in Queen Creek. I called earlier making an appointment for 3:15 for a $19.99 oil change as advertised. When they finished, they tried charging me 180 bucks on top of my oil change for cleaning my vents. I feel they took advantage of me since I was a young female and when I spoke with with the store manager he had an I don't care attitude!!! read more
