Oh man! This place, I will always recommend this place! The man who greeted me (I WISH I had gotten his name) was extremely helpful. I wasn't sure I we had been there before, so before doing services, he looked up my car in the system, saw we had been there before and charged me under replacements. He also saw that I was with my 2 under 5 yr old children, offered to change the tv to something child friendly, and tried his best to get me outta there! So I came in by myself (female) and when he told me I needed almost everything replaced I wasn't buying it. I went outside to look at the old parts which did not appear damaged. I had them measure the width of old rotors which proved they could be simply resurfaced. He still tried to lie claiming if they resurfaced them then they'd be too thin and no good which was not the case. I had him talk to my boyfriend on the phone and then all of a sudden his math skills come back and he says he made a mistake. He had a different employee doing the labor. Between the two of them working on brakes for a living I think they know what measurements can be resurfaced vs replaced. The owner is apparently on vacation right now and not here to speak with. I had to return to this place because my brakes were squeaking like a freight train. I purchased the brake pads and rotors from a parts store. Turns out the parts weren't as good a quality as I was lead to believe. However, the guys at BRAKE MASTERS removed the pads and spent over an hour sanding them down so that they wouldn't squeak anymore. They did all the work for FREE. I am once again VERY pleased with the service these guys provide. I'm not surprised that there are lots of complaints on here though. I watch these guys like a hawk when they're working on my car and I keep them accountable. read more

Funny that I'm looking on yelp for a brake place and happen to come across this review. I used them a year ago - i had a compact, not some fancy car with fancy brake system. I got the car back after probably getting overcharged now that I think about it. The next day when I push on the brakes they start making a noise and feels like my back tires are running over small bumps - hard to describe but felt like the back tires are about to fall off. I take it back and they say it needs time to adjust to the "adjustment". Give me a break.. they had to go back in and re adjust the brake after I spent like 15 minutes explaining that I had just gone to la and back and kept feeling this. I like to give good reviews however I have to say the customer service and quality of work is very lacking. I took my car in for an oil change, when I went to pick it up it was leaking oil. I took it back and told the mechanic that it didn't leak before, why is it leaking now? They did not know and insisted everything was fine. I took it to my mechanic who instantly found the problem. He had to change the oil filter and oil drain plug. Now it is fine. For being an auto place that does oil changes they sure don't know what they are talking about. I will never take my car back. Went for break service recently. They charged me around $360. Then they recommended transmission fluid flush.. Overall experience was not good or not bad. Guys were OK to talk to and feel they did a good job overall. But somehow did not get the full satisfaction that you get from car dealership. May be because its my first time experience here. Or may be they look like working on a salary... so they are not very hungry to grab your business. I will recommend to get the detailed quote from them and then shop around before finalizing going there. I did not check the review on yelp. Big mistake. Ok ...on plus side guys over there will treat you well and definitely not at all rude. They said once you fix the brake from them, next time inspection is free and you will have to pay for the labor. Somehow I could not quite understand how their lifetime warranty works. Also I see that they are getting good business (saw two or three customer and several customers coming there for service/brake work) and that is a sign that they must be doing something right there. read more

I had a coupon that Americas Tire gave to me for wheel alignment. I went in and the men that work there were just standing around talking and watching tv, when finally asked by one how they could help me I told him I needed an alignment and his answer was how do you know...I found that to be rude...if I come into a place of business and I tell them what I think I need I would hope that they would take the time to check and just not question me on it...I had a coupon for $50 for alignment then the guy proceeds to say it's going to be $20 more because that doesn't include the back wheels...I would never go back...went there many years ago for brakes and wasn't satisfied thought I would give them another chance...definitely won't be going back again.... read more

Bare bones customer service waay over charged for parts, what can you do? Sometimes u just over pay and suck it up

People tend to only leave reviews when they have a bad experience, so I want to try and level the playing field for these guys. Brought in my 2010 VW Touareg TDI with a factory Brembo brake set. Dealer wanted $500 to replace front pads. These guys called around and sourced the pads I needed for the best price. Total job with labor, new electronic sensors, and resurfaced rotors was $350. Expensive, yes, but better than the $500 the dealer wanted. Great job! Great service! read more

My family has been taking cars here for years, but this was my first experience ever taking a car in for repairs. Being a complete newbie to driving and everything taking care of a car entails, it would have been very easy for anyone to take advantage of me, but at Brake Master's, I received stellar service. Jose at the front helped me fill out the paper work and explained how everything would work. It turned out to be a quick fix and they let me know exactly what the problem was and were able to repair it same day. My daughter told me on a Sunday her brake pedal goes to the floor, with no brakes. Only place open on Sunday was Meineke. $830.00 and did not fix the problem. Then I took her car to Brake Masters and the fix her car for a few hundred. They refused to charge me for parts I didn't need. They use a tool to electronically open the ABS and power bleed the brakes. These guys are awesome. read more

This is horrible place to go. Went for break change n they charged me 50% more than other place. They told me I can get lifetime warranty for free break. After I paid, they told me I have to pay the labor every time. Really? After I paid? Scammers!!!!!! Then, they suggest $120 alignment while most of the place charge $60-70. They claim that they have some tech other place don't have n how much they invested into this tech, etc. I can understand 20% more, but 100% more for the tech u really don't need??? Plz don't go to this place if u wanna fair price n good work. I'd rate negative stars if I can. There is a reason this place has such low ratings. I should check yelp before I went. Oscar and the guys at Brake Masters in Norco California are top shelf. You can get quality work and fair prices. Oscar will he honest (their motto is "An Honest Brake") and explain in simple ways about the situation/s. I have been going there for over 18 years, and I have been going there even before Oscar. He knew that on the computer -- has my history of my purchases (all my records in one place, -- that is a great thing to have). I got clutches for the truck I used to own. Lots of brake jobs. Never any problems with the work performed for 18 plus years. Find that somewhere else --- most likely not. I was not given any perk for writing this. I just got 4 struts on my 2009 Toyota, and they did it again. A great job for a really competitive price. I put the strut job off for awhile (four years), and Oscar just politely kept reminding me that they were bad. He offered to show me the oil that leaked out of them, -- once again honest. I finally decided to spend the money, and got it done. It was expensive, but I called my other mechanic in Corona, and he was going to add the replacement of the coil springs. Four coil springs would have been another 4 hundred dollars above brake masters price. The springs can be compressed and reused. It was my call, and went with the brake masters deal (reusing the springs). They did not upsell me on the springs, but did say that if it did not come apart correctly, I might need to get more parts (parts break when they are disassembled). It came apart OK and did not need the additional parts. Honest again, other places would have sold me something that I did not need !!!! You 'gotta get into this place and get your car worked on. read more

My husband and I have been going here for a few years now and recently started doing our oil changes here too. Well today I brought in our Corolla to get the oil change and apparently the '09 Corollas have an issue with a plastic oil filter cap that can get stuck. Well, needless to say, mine was one of the lucky "stuck" ones. They had already drained the oil and they told me that the best thing to do would be to go to the dealer in case the cap cracked when they tried to take it off. I asked them how much I owed them since they put new oil in and the said "no charge". It was nice that they were so honest and didn't try to rip me off. read more

While having my tires rotated and balanced at America's Tire in Norco, CA, they broke one of my lug bolts. I was advised to take it to Brake Masters in Norco and they would pay for the repair. I did. While doing so, they look at my brakes and said they needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead and do so. While doing the brakes, they found a rear axle seal that had a slight leak to it and one brake cylinder that also had a leak. They advised working on both of them and I agreed. The work was more expensive that I had anticipated and they worked with me on the price. The job was well done and professionally completed. read more

The guys here have zero customer service. No personality what so ever. I was going to get my brake changed but changed my mind mostly because of how dull and arrogant the guys here are, especially the heavier set one with glasses. It would have been nice to give me an estimate time when I first inquired on the service. I showed concern about the length of time to work on my vehicle and to TRY and make small talk explained I am working on a research and I'm pushing deadline he just ignored me, terrible customer relation. I called to see if my fiancé was able to get my fiancé pick me up so I am not stuck for 2 hours here but I changed my mind when I asked about the price and his response was just so arrogant. So here's my rant, to the front desk guys at brake master Norco, you have zero reason to be arrogant. I'm sorry I am not a professional with brakes, I have more to life to chase after.. such as my doctorate degree.. do not try to be condescending to any customer please and try to rip them off that way. Get over yourselves guys, you don't even do the real job you just sit at the front desk pretending you're important. You work at brake master, you're not special or above anybody. Just because I'm a female and play dumb I am not ignorant about vehicles and repair, and something so simple as BRAKES.
