WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. on 5/13/2026 I had services done on my vehicle while doing these services Brake Masters discovered a possible oil pan or transmission leak, They told me to keep an eye on it especially because the year of the vehicle and mileage on it. On 6/17/2025 I went into brake masters and informed them that my car was getting a little hot and I suspected a possible leak. After mutually agreeing for them to perform a diagnostic to figure out where the leak could be coming from. After inspecting the vehicle they called and told me that they could not find a leak and my car was getting warm because of low coolant level. After being informed of this I was intrigued by this information because just the month before they said I had a possible oil pan/transmission leak. After informing me that it would be smarter to instead get my breaks done because my pads and rotors needed to be replaced and because they performed the diagnostic, the charge for that would still be $180. I agreed and got my brakes done and they offered to refill my coolant for me. After having the service done on my car the following weeks the vehicle would still get near overheating. On 7/4/26 I discovered my coolant level very low and what appeared to be a leak coming from the engine compartment. I refilled the coolant and the following day while driving my car overheated and began smoking. After going to a different automobile shop to get a look at the issue they fixed it and told me I had a radiator leak and needed a new one. Brake Masters did not do their job with finding the leak that they told me I had on 5/13/26 for this reason I would not recommend brake masters and strongly recommend everyone to spend their time and money elsewhere. read more

Friendly customer service. Clear communication and same day service. Abraham was very nice and considerate when going over the pricing for my brakes. He was able to order the parts I needed for my BMW same day and get the job done same day as well. Parts for a BMW are not cheap so it was great that they accepted the $30 coupon. Everyone at the shop from front desk to mechanics are very nice and professional. The waiting area is small but clean. They offer water and coffee. And there are restrooms for customers. read more

I didn't know about from other shop and gave me a reasonable price and we're able to get it done all in the same day. This shop isnt even capable of doagnosing suspension issues on a simple nissan sentra s. I went here to have my car aligned amd they couldnt even figure out that the tie rods were bad abd that someone had loosened the cv axles nuts and swapped my axles to wore out ones fromn the dealership. Watch out the owner abraham is crooked and will try to weasel his way out of being responsible when his inexperienced techs damage your vehicle. read more

I stumbled upon Brake Masters after receiving what I felt was an overpriced, unfair quote to complete front brakes & rotors, left outer tie rod, and alignment at a competitor less than a mile away. I called Sergio at Brake Masters and was shocked to find the same work quoted at over $400 less. Sergio was kind, knowledgeable, detailed, and most importantly, honest and had great communication throughout the completion of my vehicle. Not only was the customer service great, but the mechanic was very thorough and discovered a safety issue that had been overlooked down the street. My lower control arm was bent and cracked . I am so grateful George cared enough to check and immediately alert me of his findings. Even with the additional service of front control arm replacement, I still paid less than the local competitor down the street and not to mention the huge safety concern missed. Everyone here always greets you with a smile and I appreciate that they let you know what is going on every step of the way. It can be nerve racking to go to a mechanic as a woman because often times they will upsell you or make you feel dumb. There are a lot older reviews here on Yelp regarding this business. This business on Florida Ave Hemet had remained closed until March 2024 when it reopened under new ownership/management. It is not the same business as we knew it to be. Appeared to be only 1 service bay open with only 2 employees working (a tech and Eddie the manager. I needed a brake job. Newer model car. Rotors were never turned before. Showed me the rotors and insisted I buy two new rotors. Eddie did not want to turn rotors just wanted to upsell on unnecessary parts. Beware regarding this business. When manager wanted a cash sale only it raised suspicion about the integrity of this business. Unsure if we will return. Beware!! read more

I took my car in for an oil change, and was surprised to see a whole different staff running this business. I had always been happy with this place before, but am now looking for a new oil change place. The lobby had no air conditioning, and it was one of the hottest days of the year. The guy who I dealt with was nice and friendly, but when I got my car back, the front bumper was covered in oil, and an oily rag was sticking out of the hood. The whole top of the engine was covered in oil as well. My car has smelled like burning oil since. While I was there, a "mechanic" came into the lobby, and made racist anti Asian comments because he was working on a Toyota vehicle. I definitely won't go back. read more

I called for a quote before arriving and the gentleman I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful. I immediately took my car in for front brakes and they did a free inspection first. I ended up needing front and rear but the rear were worse. I went ahead and did them all just to be safe. The pads have a lifetime warranty! I was in and out in roughly 90 min. I was referred to Brakemasters by America's Tires and walked in and waited for a couple of minutes and the front desk lady was too busy talking to another woman about a dog on the phone. There was no one else there and not busy at all! Definitely not too busy to say hello and ask how can I help you? I think it says something, that you either love this place, or you hate this place. My personal experience dealt with the fact that while I was waiting for nearly 3 hours for them to get to my car. Which is understandable people get busy. During those 3 hours, they literary stop for what seem like 45 minutes, to have a family meeting or prayer circle or something. They all stop work and started talking, and at first I thought it was like a lunch break, but no they all just gather around formed a circle and pretty much gossiped for about 45. read more

Just been to this auto shop and was happy to find someone that is truly honest. Got all my parts to be installed however as he is inspecting it pads and rotors are still in really good shape. I've been a loyal customer to brake Masters for several years and called to bring my truck in for an oil change . I was told by Kevin bring it down we can take care of it right away . my truck was the second person in line when I heard them talking about replacing parts on the car that was on there only rack available . after waiting one hour so parts could be delivered for that car I overheard Owner telling Customer it would be at least an hour and a half before his car would be done ! Sat there for another hour and still did not get my oil changed. Felt totally disrespected and will never return to Brake Masters ! Very honest! Took my granddaughters car in and they told me it wasn't the brakes, and fixed the problem gratis. Today they took me late in the day and were done in about an hour and a half. On their test drive one of the brake lines failed(not their fault) so they kept the car overnight because it was so late they couldn't get the part. They will call tomorrow when it's done and they said " no charge ". Highly recommend this brake center. read more

Took the vehicle here for oil change and to get my back brakes changed. Was charged Lots and was stared down the whole time. Went to go use the bathroom and it was like the bathroom scene from Desperado. After getting the car back the maintenance light started coming on and when I called to ask them about it they gave me attitude on the phone. When he got here he told me it wasn't the starter it was the battery. Halleluja! That will be half the coast. So I call Brake Masters back to let them know the news, and I'm still interested in getting a new battery. It was a simple mistake. You could have made something.
