After passing thru Brady on our way to visit family, we dropped by this place because well honestly, the best burger sign and the outside appeal the restaurant had felt so homely. Upon entering, you can tell the owners were very local considering how busy it was and everyone calling their name. Now to the most important part..... the food! Between my family and I, we had the burger, catfish, sweet potato fries, onion rings, and pecan pie. ALL of which had the most homemade taste I've ever witnessed. The burger was juicy just from start to finish and, even tho I hate seafood and fish, the catfish was something out of this world. The fish to batter ratio was perfect and seasoned to perfection. Definitely worth getting the next time we go there, and there WILL be a next time. Thank you guys for a wonderful local food experience that I'll rarely get anywhere else! We just happened to drive by this place and it had a sign that said "all you can eat catfish" so we turned around and went back. I'm glad we did. The catfish is excellent!!! It was cut into long strips instead of fillets so that it all cooks the same and there was none of that nasty silvery stuff you find on the cheaper cuts. We will definitely be going back!! The place is small and there was only two guys working. They weren't overly outgoing but they were friendly if you talked to them. read more

Just keep driving... Seriously, we stopped because they had a big "Best Catfish in Texas" sign (or something like that) out front, so we decided to stop. Once we finally ordered (took a while to get the ordering done, as you have to wait at the counter) the total absolutely shocked me! We ordered two catfish plates, and two kids meals, and it was over $40! We had eaten at the Olive Garden the night before and spent less money. Took a while for the food to come out, and when it did, it was rather strange. Catfish was TERRIBLE. It had obviously come out of the freezer, as it had that "freezery" taste to it, and was very rubbery. Served with cole slaw and pinto beans. Beans were cold... not sure why. There were also two hushpuppies, but they had been plopped right in the middle of the coleslaw, which just made them mushy. Also had to sit in the dining area while being forced to watch the shopping network... just seemed like an odd choice for a catfish place... Expensive, slow service, and bad food... not worth your time. Just drive on through to the McDonalds... you'll thank me later. read more

I just moved here and saw they were open unlike some other place's. Me and my wife wanted to go out and we stopped in to see about the catfish and Hamgurger meaal. I got the all you can eat catfish meal, my wife got the Bacon chesse burger. We were glad we stopped. The food and service was great, i couldn't ask for more. At 8:54 pm on 6/18, we ordered from Brady McDonalds, store 11216. We ordered and asked at the window if the drive through employee got the extra medium fries/ medium drink. He said yes, you have 2 orders of medium fries. The receipt proved the extra medium fry/medium drink, ordered directly after the 20 nugget item, were not on the receipt. We pointed this out/ he again repeated himself about the 2 fries. My mom, stated, yes, they are for the two meals ordered: but we ordered a set for the 20 nuggets. His reply: they are not a meal. She said she knew, which is why we ordered the medium fry/medium drink. He then had the audacity to ask, when did you order this? He has not listened nor tried to solve the concern at this point after multiple attempts. She asks for the manager. The manager, a very young lady, was less than concerned from the get go. It was obvious, she too was annoyed. My mom explained it all again, and said the drive through guy was extremely rude. She added that they only had one apple pie when per their customer appreciation sign, stated these were a special. The manager stated: he told you that bc we only have one ready and they take 15min to make. The manager never addressed the employee's actions or apologized for any of this. LIVID. read more

My sister and I came on vacation from the Northeast to Texas and we stopped by here. I never had catfish before, but after having it, I absolutely fell in love. My sister decided to try the burger and she said it was one of the best that she has had. The restaurant has that homey Texas feel we were kind of looking for. WAY over priced for a burger with no seasoning. Not to mention being served on a regular Walmart paper plate. A quaint and unassuming place, with a kitschy atmosphere but serious food. The burgers are well-made and topped as you like them. Topping choices are limited to the standards but you don't want to do too much monkeying around. The catfish lives up to the boast on the sign out front. The breading had a great flavor and crunch. Took a while to get our food and the person from the kitchen who delivered it looked pretty criminal. He literally dropped the food on paper plates at our table and threw the extra plate at me. FLIES GALORE!!! Food was mediocre. 5pm and we were the only ones there. I wouldn't bother going again. Ever! Grilled chicken salad wasn't worth it. I could've done better at home. There was a dead bug on the bottom of the hamburger bun. Hamburger fixings were hot and dried out from being left out all day. The smell inside wasn't pleasant. I'm going to be generous and give them 2 stars for their fries only. Their sign says "Best burgers in Texas" oh hell no. While they are 1/2 lb hand made patties, they are bland and boring. Toss a little seasoning on 'em, know what I'm saying? Fries are great, they were cooked to perfection, and seasoned well. The bad thing with this place is it's NASTY inside. All the tables and floors and counter area are all sticky and gross. You order at the counter, they bring food, you get condiments from nasty bins on a nasty table. Not sure how hygienic it is having pickles and jalapenos and tomatoes and lettuce sitting out like that, especially with all the flies in the place.Won't be going back. read more

This place was fabulous! Glad we didn't pay attention to yelp on this one. We started our meal with fried pickles and that was an outstanding choice on our part. Ordered chicken fried steak and it was delicious. My daughter had a burger and she thought it was great! As far as the staff goes - they were all very friendly and fun to talk to. Perhaps some of the other critics on yelp need to take off their legalistic glasses before passing judgment so quickly. Those complaints about the price point are ridiculous. The food is absolutely excellent. We stopped for lunch on a long trip. We ordered our burgers at the counter. They bring your food to you. They obviously prepare your food so it doesn't arrive instantaneously. Our burger was thick, hot and juice. You add your own fixings. The place was really busy so obviously folks who travel know this is the place to stop in Brady. We will always stop here in the future. read more

One of the friendliest places I've been to. I stopped in on my way from Austin to Texas and had grilled catfish. Can't say I am an expert on catfish as I am from Canada, but it was fresh, nicely seasoned, and pretty darn tasty. I even thought the service was really friendly when I was eating there. What made this restaurant stand out was what happened after I left. Lost in my road weary mind, I left my purse behind when I left the restaurant. They attempted to call me, but of course my phone was in my purse. Once I realised it was missing and gave them a shout, they made some shipping suggestions and made sure my purse made it back to Midland safely with all its contents. I am very thankful for such a great group of people who helped make an unfortunate circumstance much easier to bear. read more
