Service is very friendly, makes you feel right at home. We ordered the cowboy plate, with beef, chicken, shrimp and sausage. Cooked with bell peppers and onions. We made a stop at a colorful Mexican restaurant off the main road in Brady, Texas. We ordered the biscuits and gravy- biscuits were soft and buttery, and the gravy was the perfect consistency and not too salty. The barbacoa plate was delicious and very tasty. The homemade empanadas were delicious with my coffee. The customer service was great! My only complaint is the flour tortillas were not homemade. read more

Driving through Brady at almost 8 on a Sunday evening there's not a lot of options. Mi Pueblo 2 was open so we stopped. First the green salsa is the best I've ever had. I ended up buying some to take home. We had the fish tacos and a crispy beef taco, cheese enchiladas, rice and beans. Everything was so good. The reason I'm giving Mi Puebla three stars is because they got my order wrong and I highly despise my order being taken wrong even when they repeat what I say! I honestly think it was just a fluke though and I got a bad waitress bc the other waitresses seemed to actually know what was going on. Okay, cut to the chase. This is a very local Mexican eatery. We were just passing through Brady but noticed all the families table-hopping to say hi to their neighbors. It was a nice feeling knowing that they chose this restaurant out of the other 5 in town. The food is average. Rice is tasteless which was a bummer. THE FLOUR TORTILLAS ARE ON POINT! I may actually give this place another shot just bc of their tortillas!!! The only half decent thing of our lunch was the green salsa. All of our dishes were very mediocre. The homage flour tortillas were so thick they couldn't be used for tacos. My main complaint is that they charged me extra for cilantro. No mexican restaurant should ever charge extra for a staple like cilantro. Especially when a customer orders a dish that you make tacos out of. Sorely disappointed over this place and will never go back. read more

To be fair, we've been here before and the food as well as the service was excellent, that's why they're still getting three stars from me. However, today the food was kinda meh, and the service was kinda meh as well. We got there pretty early, there were only five other families in there, two of which had their food and only one of the other ones hadn't ordered yet. So we sat ourselves as it says to do, waited for a bit, then got out drink orders in, which is when it started to go downhill. The chips and salsas came about four minutes after the drink order, and the drinks three minutes after that, so roughly seven minutes after ordering drinks we finally got them, note that they aren't busy at this point. The salsa is great, both the red and the green, but today the chips were oily and kind of soggy in places. Then we got our menus and started looking through them, two couples come in and go sit down, then we place our orders. Around 5 minutes passed and then two "bikers" came in and sat down. At this point we had gone through about half of the chips, and three of the five people had already finished their drinks, which were filled after awhile when they noticed us, note that there are two waitresses and one "waiter" so it people shouldn't be sitting at their tables forever waiting on drinks or menus, yet they were. The "bikers" placed their orders around this time, a good 10 minutes or so after we had placed ours, and the bigger family that had been there ahead of us started to get their food coming out. The issues really began when one of the couples who had come in after us by about seven minutes, got their food, which wouldn't have been a big deal because the woman had what I assume was Menudo, and I can understand super simple stuff like that coming out ahead of larger orders, except for the fact that the man got fajitas, and they were steaming hot. We ourselves hadn't ordered anything that took long to make, tamales, enchiladas, and carne asada. All of that should have been done fairly quickly, certainly ahead of fajitas that were an order or two behind us. No one really thought that much of it, till the other couple got their food, both enchiladas. It got worse, however, when the "bikers" food came out. They came in a very long time after we did, so much so that their food should not be done anywhere remotely close to when ours was done. Kind of ticked about that nearly everyone who came in after us was getting their food, yet we were still there waiting after close to 40 minutes, my grandmother asked the waiter, the male waiter, if he could check on our order to see why it was taking so long. He was extremely rude, snide, and uncaring. He rolled his eyes and told us that he would go check on it. When he came back he told us that they were just now cooking our food, so it would be a bit till it got there. As a counter to that, my grandmother said that we had been waiting for awhile for our food to come out. He responded that there had been people who were ahead of us so theirs got to come out first. To this my mother said that we had been there before everyone but the last big family that had been looking at their menus when we arrived, and they were just about done with their food. He stormed off angrily and went back to the cash register, no one was there, and acted like he had something to do. Three minutes pass, yes I was looking, and our food comes out, everything fairly hot, except for the thing that your would expect to take the "longest", the carne asada, it was nice and cold. As a side note, the pictures on the menus aren't accurate, it depicts it having slices of avocado on the lettuce, but they just put a glob of guacamole on, as well as the fact that it looks like it has onions and cactus, which I asked about, but only comes with grilled cactus slices. I included a pic of the asada. Overall the female waitresses were nice and professional, but the male waiter just ruined it by being rude, obnoxious, uncaring, and in the end not even looking for the food and just making up a story so that he could leave. The extremely long wait on the food didn't help it out either. If we come again I won't be getting the asada, I'll get the Shrimp Diablos which I've had before and know is good, and I will be requesting a different waiter/waitress if the same "gentleman" is coming to serve us. It may have just been a fluke today, but that's why they're getting three stars from me. If it turns out better then I'll update the review as well as the number or stars. Sorry for the rant, and grammar, if you've read it all the way, may you have better luck than we today. read more

My hubby and i came to this restaurant for the first time..and NO First of all my hubby is allergic to onions AND he did ask them what can they could make for him. They referred the beef fajitas burrito only without onions only the peppers. Everything they cook is with onions. So my hubby ordered the burrito. I ordered the torta... anyway... food comes and my husband takes a bite right into an onion. So we let the lady know about it, she goes and has them remake it. We hear a microwave go off. She then brings his supposedly new burrito.. he opens the burrito up and what the heck! It's the same burrito with onions pieces all over the tortilla. Come on now... HE is ALLERGIC to onions... do y'all want to send a customer to the hospital or get sued? We tell you our allergies to be aware and then u just reheat the same food! And yes we did show the lady AGAIN.. That is just pure laziness for the staff to have done that and disrespectful to your customers to try to deceive them that way. So NO we will not be back... So if you go here make sure your not allergic to any type of food cuz they may try to feed it to you anyway.. And no the torta was not good either. If I could rate zero stars I would. The young girl was not only rude & should not be a waitress. There was 2 other tables in while we had already been sitting & it took atleast 45 mins for our food. We found hair in our chips. When I asked for unsweet tea she made it seem like it was an inconvenience for her to make a new batch. For the quality of of the food the price was crazy. NEVER go here. I took my niece here as we were driving through because she wanted breakfast and I didn't want McDonalds. We both were greeted by our waitress and attended to immediately. I ordered the Rancheros eggs, and my niece ordered their breakfast plate with pancakes. Both were very delicious! We also asks for chips and salsa (even though it was morning) and were given them without hesitation. The green salsa they have was so good and the chips tastes like they had just made them. Our waitress was very friendly and would come back and fill up my coffee cup and made sure we were doing ok. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, even if you're just passing through! read more

First of all, this was not our first time to eat here, but it will be our last. The waitress took our order and had to come back 3 times to ask what it was we wanted again. The tea tasted like it had been brewed with dirty dish water. My husband asked for avacado, cilantro, onions and limes with his tacos. They were out of avacado & cilantro - it is a Mexican restaurant....those are staple ingredients. They were also out of corn tortillas. I ordered chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and they used their spicy green salsa in lieu of a normal verde sauce. When I brought all of the issues to our waitresses attention, she didn't care, didn't say sorry - she just looked at me with a blank stare and still charged us full price for everything. My entire enchilada plate had one bite missing and the rest was left on the table. I paid the check, but tipped her according to her horrible service and attitude. We will not be back. I guess it is off to Burger King or Sonic for a burger! Haha! read more
