Stop here for lunch on my way back from a camping trip. Let me tell you the waiter was on point. Before I even realized I needed something he was there with it or asking if I would like it. Family friendly and affordable menu and quality food to match. Breakfast all day which was spectacular and delicious Mexican food as well. If you want a great and authentic Mexican breakfast come here. Portions are large, the service is friendly and efficient and the food is exceptional. Coffee is freshly brewed and served as long as you can drink it. The inside is comfortable with tables and booths. I really liked the eggs cooked to order, with crispy bacon, beans and potatoes. My daughter and I have enjoyed lunch here a couple of times while visiting family. The parking lot is small and there is usually a crowd so parking can be challenging. When you walk inside you seat yourself. The staff is friendly and greets you immediately. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. There is a large menu. We have tried several different dishes. Took a break from ranch life this morning for brunch at a local favorite, Agave Jalisco. We had been moving from one deer lease to another all day and came here at 9 o'clock on a Wednesday night, friendly staff, great margs, salsa and hot sauces were money. I've lived in the blue bubble in Austin for years and have had them brag about all their great places. WELL NO MORE. Agave can match them mano-a-mano. First, they have great chips with great salsa. The salsa is not very hot, but it is flavorful and the tomato really pops. They have very good queso and the one with the meat and potatoes is outstanding. Yes, I said potatoes. Try it, you'll like it. I usually get the 3 enchiladas - all ground beef and it is very good. They do something that I've only seen one other place (Chuys) do with their refried beans - they mix in something tomatoey. I do NOT like refried beans - but I LOVE Agave's refried beans. My wife and I have tried other menu items and have not been let down. Solid solid solid place. Deserving of their rating for sure. read more

The cheese enchilada were very good, but the taco meat on my order as well as another in our party lacked something to be desired. The beef was cold and clumped together as if it could have been leftover from yesterday. I did love the very generous size of the iced tea. My husband had lingua tacos that should've been shared with another person, they were very tasty. I have eaten here about a dozen times over the last couple months and it has become my go-to restaurant in San Saba for a quick, tasty meal. I have only eaten in the dinning room once pre-Covid, and the interior is clean and cheerful. Since March, I have discovered the drive through window on the side and now I hit it on the reg when I'm in town. The service is always fast and friendly. They seriously couldn't be nicer. I ate many times at the place that was at this location previously with mixed reviews but the service was always lousy. Not the case anymore though! Food was fantastic including some great taquitos (street tacos) and the best charro beans I've ever had. Salsa was good and actually had some kick.
