The entrance to Collab Kitchens with the various kitchen call buttons at the pickup window.

I decided to try Brad's (which I was not aware of) after talking about deep dish pizza with my Yelp friends, Lorn C. and Mikhail C. They asked me if I knew about deep dish pizza based on my experiences up north, in and around the Chicago area. I said I was not aware of a "good" deep dish pizza in our area. They asked me to give Brad's Underground a try and report back to them, given my Midwest roots. So here goes: Brad's Underground deep dish pizza is as good as Chicago deep dish pizza, in my opinion. Based on other Yelp reviews, I agree that the ingredients are fresh, the cheese is perfect (just like actual Chicago style), and it holds up quite well with the crust intact. I ordered the 9-inch deep dish, with 1/2 mushrooms and 1/2 pepperoni. The taste reminded me of the pizzas I loved in the Chicagoland area. It's nice to finally find a similar spot here close to my neighborhood. Thanks, Lorn and Mikhail! Brad's is located in a shopping strip off Curry Ford Rd. It is part of the Collab Kitchens establishment which has various kitchens in the facility, providing pickup or delivery of your order. You walk in and there are several signs at the pickup window that direct you to push the ring button for someone to come up and give you your order. It's quick and easy. For Brad's business, you order and pay online through his website (www.bradsunderground.com). I selected the 1:45pm pickup time and I arrived at 1:47pm and my piping hot deep dish was ready for me. This definitely will be my go-to spot for deep dish pizza, especially when my Chicagoland friends come for a visit!

    Deep Dish Sausage/Green Peppers

Brad is a great guy/owner. Purchased the 14" Deep Dish Sausage Green Pepper Pizza. Crust is very tasty crisp on the underside to bite. Sausage reminds me of home, green peppers very fresh. Pizza sauce was very good, and the Wisconsin cheese brings it home. It is a 4.8 in Florida. Thank You Brad for bringing a little Chicago flavor to Orlando.

Pizza Perfected! If you were trying to find the best full pie the way it is up North at your favorite spot.. Give Brad's a Try. Only drawback is other pizza won't ever stack up.

BAM! KAPOW! BANG! I don't know who has been gatekeeping Brad and his pizza, but whomever you are, your like the villain of this review. NOT COOL! I just finished my first time eating a Brads Underground Pizza-14 inch, Half Pep, Half Sausage/Black Olives. Take out only, at bradsunderground.com. I suggest ordering the night before to make sure you get one of the prescribed pick up times. Don't question me, just read the rest of the review and you will understand. Trust me, it is worth it! If Orlando was Gotham City, Brad would be the Caped Crusader of Pizza and the distress signal in the sky would be a Large Chicago Tavern Style Pizza . I really did not know what to expect ordering online and showing up at a prescribed time. I thought it would be sitting in a box, getting soggy, I arrived five minutes early. Brad greeted me and got my pie right to me. It was no doubt the freshest pizza I have purchased in Orlando. He has a method, don't ask questions. When I drove the 20 minutes back home, the pie had only cooled slightly. The "girl wonder" was more pessimistic than me when I told her what we had to do to get our hands on the pizza equivalent to the "keys" to the city. Holy Pizzaman! Despite GW's snobbery on sauces (she has a Penguin like counter ego when it comes to complaining about pizza sauces), she loved Brads authentic and full bodied sauce which complimented but did not overwhelm the other ingredients. Someone should call the Mayor and tell him we have a Pizza Super Hero over at the Collaborative Kitchen! He deserves a gold pepperoni medal. He should rename his shop Brads Pizza Batcave, because this chef has seen the signal from those of us out here stuck in mediocre pizza city and saved the day!

Down in the underground you'll find... pizza! And pretty good pizza at that. Copious amounts of cheese, great sauce! And the crust is alright.. it tasted kinda sourdoughey so if you're into that you'll love it. Overall a great pie. We agreed that the deep dish was better than the thin crust. The only way to order is online. No calling in. It's located next to Publix and it's take out only. We ended up getting a couple of pies to go and eating them at hourglass brewing which is only 2 minutes away.

Thin crust pizza with sausage and bacon + extra sauce

I had my first visit here and it was just okay. As a lover of thin crust pizza and tons of sauce (Midwest native), I was excited to check this place out. I didn't realize it was carry-out only and you had to order online (I found this out upon arrival). Once informed, I placed the order and was told it would take about 30-40 minutes. When going back into the restaurant for a "status check" (after waiting for 25 minutes), one of the staff members told me it would be another 25-30 minutes, as they had "just" gotten the order (not true). This was very disappointing, but I waited anyway. After finally getting the pizza, a different staff member apologized for the wait. The pizza was definitely hot and fresh and bigger than I thought! However, the sauce lacked flavor -- more on the bland side. The meats (sausage, bacon) were good, along with the crust, but I can't say I would order this again. Maybe I'll return for the deep dish one day...

Brad's Underground is a collab kitchen pickup type of business meaning they share a kitchen and only offer pickup or delivery. When you walk it it's a bit of a tight space, just a small counter, kitchen window, and a help button for assistance. There was a few people waiting for orders when I arrived and the worker asked me for my order name and advised me it's gona be 5 more mins. I got my order within those 5 minutes and the pizzas were super hot. For being 14inch pizzas they look bigger which I was happy with. I like that they cut their pizzas into square pieces. The pizza tasted ok to me, I wish it was more flavorful. It was to bland for my liking. Both the cheese and pepperoni were lacking flavor. I ordered thin crust but if I order again I'll try the thick crust, maybe that will be better.

Finally tried Brad's Underground Pizzeria and it did not disappoint! They are located in Collab Kitchens at Curry Ford and Conway. I'd initially planned to cook, but wasn't feeling great. I decided to check to see if they happened to have deep dish available (they often sell out) and saw three left in stock and jumped on it! We ordered a deep dish with mushrooms. My bf went to pick it up and mentioned how nice the person handing the order to him was. Online ordering was easy peasy as well and it was ready by the estimated time. The pizza had a layer of plastic over the top to prevent cheese or sauce from sticking to the box which was a nice touch. It smelled and looked amazing. We each started with one slice. The sauce tasted fresh and delicious, there was an ample amount of great tasting, melty cheese, and the crust had a nice consistency. We both kept going "mmm" the entire time we were eating our first sliced (knife and fork style for this pie!) We both went for a second slice and couldn't quite finish it since it's thick and very filling, so had plenty of leftovers to enjoy. It's on the pricy side (about $30 after tip), but for the quality and how many meals it gave us plus supporting a local business, I have no complaints. We will definitely order from here again! I want to try their tavern style next and am excited to be able to satisfy a deep dish craving so close to home!

    Tavern-style and Chicago-style

FINALLY - 25 years in Florida and finally found a pizza place!!! Pizza in Central and South Florida generally is sub-standard for someone coming from Chicago. Brad's pizza is very very close, and now my go-to place. I've been wanting to try this for a while and finally got there last night. Got one deep dish (Chicago-style) and one thin (tavern-style) on my way home last night. The deep dish crust was very close. On both pizzas he nailed the cheese and sauce. Tasted like back home. Thank you Brad, you have made a long-time Chicago guy very happy. I'm now a regular and will be going back often. Hopefully many people can try this and taste the difference.

First time in. Part of a shared cooperative kitchen type of place, located in Collab Kitchens. Step up, ring the bell and place your order. I ordered the same pie I always do when I'm trying a place for the first time, plain cheese with pepperoni on half, we'll done. They hit on all points. Fineness, sauce to cheese ratio, taste, appearance. All on pout. I will have to go back the next time I am in the area to try the deep dish!

Fresh ingredients, be sure to order ahead, pickup only I've been hearing about Brads Pizza for over a year - since before he had a brick and mortar location. We finally gave it a try yesterday. The new location is inside a collab kitchen and offers takeout only. Depending on day/time, the wait can be several hour. On a Sunday afternoon our wait was 2hrs for our order which was fine since we expected this. We ordered one thin crust and one deep dish pizza. The deep dish came with plastic wrap on top to prevent it from covering the box lid I assume. It had a pastry like crust, and was full of lots of cheese with sauce on top. It was very good and extremely filling. However, I preferred the thin crust as I usually do. This dough was crispy and thin, with a delicious sauce and cheese. The prices are a bit steep, but fresh ingredients aren't cheap. I wouldn't say it's the best pizza I've ever had, but it's very good. I would definitely order the thin crust again, and deep dish lovers will probably really enjoy the deep dish. Give Brads a try!

What keeps it interesting, though, is how the atmosphere continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. At its core, this is classic New York-style grab-and-go pizza. You order by choosing slices through the glass, with plenty of options that go beyond traditional toppings--standouts like chicken bacon ranch and buffalo-style slices are clearly crowd favorites. The atmosphere is where Gitto's really shines. From the outside, it looks like a simple hole-in-the-wall, but once inside, there's more personality and energy than you'd expect. The complimentary garlic knots were an unexpected and appreciated bonus. The dough is flavorful and familiar--exactly what you want from a NYC-style slice. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch, and it delivered: not overly sauced (which is key, since ranch can easily overpower), perfectly cooked bacon, and solid chicken that didn't taste frozen or pre-made. Pizza is subjective, and this is just my experience--but it's important to judge Gitto's for what it is. This is New York grab-and-go pizza, not Italian, Chicago, Detroit, or a big chain like Papa John's.
