Question for regular gas station coffee buyers- are all RaceTrac coffees absolutely disgusting or did I get a bad cup somehow? I have got coffee maybe 10-20 other times in my life from crappy gas stations in the boonies when something went wrong with making it at home and it was at least coffee flavored water each time. What I got this morning... I think might have been wash out water from an asphalt truck??? It smelled only 10% like coffee is supposed to, definitely chemical smelling like more then anything. It tasted like cleaner and made my taste buds feel like sand paper. Two sips (one while hot, the other after it cooled down some with me thinking that maybe some weird temp thing made it taste like dirty socks laundry drainage- wasn't the cause FYI) and rest went in the dirt. Is this normal? I don't know that I have ever got a cup of coffee from a RaceTrac before in those 10-20 cups but, I can guarantee you- I won't ever again, at any of their places.

We have always found the store to be clean and well-stocked and have not experienced any problems or issues. On our most recent visit this past Saturday afternoon, the store was busy, but the restrooms were clean and stocked, my wife got coffee, and I purchased a fountain drink. We were in and out very quickly and used the self-checkout kiosk. I understand at peak times and crowds things may get different, but with our experience, I would still stop here and recommend it to others looking for this type of store location.

But pipes, incense and other ridiculous items they DO have. This store fits a pattern here in Gainesville which is some guy some how earning a living operating a slip-shod c-store business. And I mean a very poorly run c-store. They are OBVIOUSLY stocking the shelves with items purchased monthly at Sam's which explains the very limited choices. Do everyone a favor and don't contribute to their slack business practices.

I stop at this location once or twice a month and have always had excellent experiences. It is a…read morevery busy store with lots of traffic, but there is ample parking around the store for running inside, and they have plenty of fuel pumps, so on stops, I need fuel; there is not ever any wait despite how busy this location is. After dark, the parking lot and fuel pumps are very well-lit, and it is a safe place to stop. My wife will often stop here late when she works a late shift at one of the local medical facilities on Jesse Jewell, and she has not ever had any issues or felt unsafe. The store has large, clean restrooms, and the store is well laid out so you can find what you need and get in and out quickly. Inside the store, the aisles are wide, and despite lots of people, you never feel crowded or rushed. QT offers a huge selection of different fountain drinks, frozen drinks, and hot coffee. In addition, they offer hot food items, pizza, roller grill items, and all the snacks you can wish for. The staff are always friendly and helpful if you find something needing stocking or replenishment. They work hard to keep the trash cleaned up and the store moving. The cashiers run very quickly and are normally operating two POS terminals to keep the lines moving. There is seldom any wait. When using Apple Pay, I can get in and out in less time than it takes at most other locations.
