I was very disappointed with the service at the Costco Optical Counter when I went to pick up…read moreglasses that I had already paid for two weeks earlier. Costco had repeatedly texted me that my glasses were ready, so I came in specifically to pick them up. There was no line, and staff had time to speak with me, but I was told I would have to wait while they finished assisting another customer. I explained that I could not wait. If Costco is going to repeatedly notify customers that their glasses are ready for pickup, I believe there should be a reasonable way for someone to simply hand over glasses that have already been purchased and paid for. Customers picking up completed orders should not feel like they have become unimportant once the sale is finished. Unfortunately, that was the message I took away from my experience today: the attention was there before the purchase, but not after. I would recommend buying glasses from an optical provider that makes customers feel valued both before and after they pay.

Still, I have a long trip tomorrow and needed an oil change immediately, and everywhere else was closed for Sunday. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by the experience. The employees were polite, respectful, and professional. Despite being very busy with many customers, they completed the oil change quickly. They asked what I wanted done to my car and did not try to talk me into anything extra. The person who was manning the office was clear and helpful on the different oil options, their prices and advantages / disadvantages. The rate they offered matched what I had found online as a reasonable rate, and the entire experience was awkwardness-free, smooth, quick, and friendly. Glad I didn't let the bad reviews deter me and I would absolutely recommend this place!

I asked him about the bill because it was higher than I thought. A $115.00 oil change with a $10.00 coupon came to $126.00. He said we have to put a new filter in too. Like I didn't know that? I will never go there again. And if the owner has any sense at all he needs to fire him asap.
