Unfortunately, Bozelli's wasn't the best pizza I've had in the area. For my toppings I chose pepperoni, jalapeños, and "caramelized" onions. I have to quote caramelized because the red onions on my pizza seemed to have been thrown on right before going into the oven. The cheese on my pizza seemed dried out, so I didn't get that ooey gooey cheesy goodness that I enjoy. Also, the jalapeños are pickled rather than fresh and were cut rather large (which made my pizza taste sour). I did however like the fact that the crust wasn't too thick. Ordered a small veggie pizza (thin crust), garlic knots, and cheesecake on a Sunday evening. Service was fast. The pizza was excellent. The garlic knots however tasted like they were baked with fish or something fishy wrapped around it. I tried three separate ones and couldn't get pass the fishy taste. It's hard to go wrong with pizza and I don't have anything against the pie we got here. It's got a good dough, a crispy but chewy crust (think more akin to the kind you'd expect in the Midwest than say a NYC joint) undergirding not-too-greasy cheese and hearty toppings. Not too much sauce either, which is always a plus in my book. We also got a side of broccoli which was tasty but a bit too salty. Plus the pizza comes in a neat custom box with a fun cutout to make yourself look like an astronaut lmao Where things went south is the pick up experience. The street was jam-packed with cars flashing their hazards as they jockeyed for a spot, not unlike Chick Fil A nearby. And indoors the situation was no better, with delivery drivers and customers crowded into this tiny shop waiting for their pizzas. Maybe we could have waited outside, though the Bozzeli's does little to accommodate that. Orders are quietly placed on a rack deep inside the crowd when ready with no announcement, in our case maybe 10 or so minutes after the estimated window. Maybe we could have ordered delivery, though that's a hard sell given we live right up the street and only shifts the COVID risk onto our driver to queue up with everyone else inside? I needed to order food for our group of about 15 people who were staying at a nearby hotel for a conference. Another business who we had ordered from in the past was closed unexpectedly, so we decided to order from Bozzelli's as they were open at that time on a Saturday morning and were right across the street from our hotel. The staff was extremely helpful in taking our order and having everything ready to go within about 30 minutes. Several people in the group needed gluten free items, and Bozzelli's has gluten free pizza options available in the 10 inch pizza sizes. Got some vegan pizza from here. I was so pleased when I saw the VAST plant based menu. There were so many options that I was overwhelmed and had no idea what to choose. I ended up deciding on a pepper pizza. It was good, but not the best vegan pizza I've had. It was pretty spicy, much spicier than I expected but not bad. i've been to this Bozzelli's quite a few times, but this is my first time submitting a review. this location does not offer indoor seating, but does have outdoor seating. wine is offered by the bottle and there are fresh salads fresh juices and fresh desserts. The food is amazing. Always very tasty and leaves you want anymore. this time I had the spicy chicken wrap and fries. This was my first time trying this wrap at this location. to be honest, I was not a fan of buffalo chicken wrap, and probably will never order it again only because it seem to be way more lettuce than chicken in the wrap. It didn't have any type of sauce, and or mayo. I would recommend cutting back on the amount of lettuce use for this wrap and add more chicken. And add some sort of seasoning to the chicken as it was very bland. The french fries were great as always season very well and I will re-order. The service was good fast I ordered online. Everything was ready when I arrived. Just as a sidenote, this location does not take cash so you will need to have a mobile payment or a card ready to pay for items. Trying to figure out how many times a week I can eat out here without looking crazy! Just moved to the area and did a quick yelp search for sandwiches near me. Came here based on the reviews (and photos, duh!) and was not disappointed! Staff were all super nice & food was A+! I grabbed a ti on the way out cause it's my absolute favorite desert, and hadn't been able to find a store that carries them fresh. So I got an email to leave a review on the "Raves Page" however the drop down menu to select what we ordered is not accessible so I'll review here on Yelp. We had decided to selected this sandwich shop because the reviews were excellent however we were quite disappointed. My wife and I each got a sandwich to go, a Ruben and a Roast Beef. Neither sandwich tasted that great with very few toppings provided. We felt the sandwiches were small and to pay over $20 just for two sandwiches was quite a ripoff. On top of that buyer beware, when ordering take out, pay attention to your total as a 20% tip....for CARRYOUT was added to the bill. Fortunately this can be removed before paying. All in all this place was just meh. I'd advise larger sandwiches with more toppings as we paid for smaller and not much there. read more

Gave this place a try since I was parked right in front. I ordered the Caprese "sub" (I call this a "hero" like any NYer would). When I got home I found meat on it. So looks like they ga e me the wrong sandwich. What I ended up with wasn't something I even remember seeing on the menu - looked like prosciutto and mozzarella. I wasn't upset by the mistake - I have to admit it was a great sandwich, very tasty and a decent amount of meat. The bread was very good - I got the "hard Italian roll". I don't know why they call it that - it's the way Italian bread SHOULD be, nice and crusty. I don't know why this bread is not available at all of their locations. I tried to order from the shop closest to me on Vermont Ave NW but this bread was not an option so I drove to Crystal City instead. If someone in charge reads this please make this bread standard in all locations! I will not order a sandwich without it. Well I went back today to get my Caprese and when I got home I started eating it. Tasted great but something seemed to be missing. I saw lots of arugula and peppers but when I took a close look I saw that there was almost no cheese. See the attached pictures. I don't understand this. My incorrect sandwich the other day had lots of cheese, but this one where the mozzarella is really the main ingredient, had almost none! I enjoyed it nevertheless but now this place is 0 for 2 with getting things right. I won't give up on them yet though, I did love what I got, although the heroes are on the all side considering the prices. Maybe that's a good thing or else I'd be gaining a lot of weight. Overall, while this place doesn't compare to a NY Italian deli it's pretty damn good, especially the bread (which again should be available at ALL of their locations!) This was a nice little find. I have to say, had it not been for my co-workers I pmwould have never thought twice and passed it by ONLY because I'm not really a pizza person. I think the chain style stuff from the commercials just ruined it for me. I really enjoyed this place. It had been a very long day and surely a glass or 3 was very necessary.... Just a suggestion, takeout is probably best. It is a small and cozy place that is not designed to hang out and parlay for too long. There are a few tables but during a busy time I can see things getting very cramped.... now back to the wine, they have a very interesting selection.
