It was CLOSED, wish they had put up a sign prior to going there to let us know that it was no longer open.

Yes. It's a rest stop. While the amenities you expect in a rest stop are rather ordinary here,…read moreit's the surroundings that should impress and make this stop stand out. I think it might be the only rest stop on this road between Gardiner (and Yellowstone Park) and Livingston. There are picnic tables that can give weary travelers a chance to take a break. There's even a fire hydrant in the dog "rest stop" so even your furry companion can have some relief. A nice feature of this rest stop is the short walking path that takes you down to the Yellowstone river, which is flowing pretty quickly in this area, and from where you can get a very impressive view of Emigrant Peak. Depending on the time of day, it'll be like existing in the middle of a postcard picture. Even if you don't need the break from driving, stop here anyway just to enjoy the view. And if you're southbound into the park, consider it a preview. If you're northbound from the park, experience it a post-script of what you left behind.

Scenic rest stop in Emigrant MT…read more I know a rest stop is usually not one of those one would review but this Emigrant Rest Area is worth noting. It is the most scenic one I've seen so far. Located on the east side of Highway 89 between Emigrant and Gardiner on the way to or from Yellowstone National Park. The roads are paved and the parking lot is level. The rest stop has clean restrooms and also has sectioned picnic tables in a nice roofed picnic area. They have a pet area too. The views are pretty and is located right along Yellowstone River. Saw some people fishing so you can do some fishing too while you are there! LoL There are slots for RV/trailer and truck parking. Open year round (some rest stops in MT are not). There is a historical marker on sight about the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness which is over a million acres of wilderness in a track of land covering portions of three states. Interesting read. And off we go... Review #2330

I'm a fan of the Wingate chain; they really know how to show business travelers the love. Free hot…read morebreakfast, free wireless 'net access, pool, hot tub, big bathrooms, freshly-baked cookies in the lobby each evening, hot coffee all day/night, refrigerators and microwaves in the room, comfy workstations, and best of all: a business center that's open 24/7 that has a PC, printer, copier, fax machine and office supplies free of charge. That means no last-minute panicky jaunts to FedEx-Kinko's for copies for meeting stuff. This location has a terrific front desk staff, clean rooms, and an all-around good thing goin'. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had willed our little compact sedan through a serious blizzard and were just looking for a place to crash. We settled on the Wingate because it was a name brand and decently priced. Here are the things you should know about this hotel: 1. INCREDIBLE customer service. I've stayed all over the world, but never have I seen a staff go out of its way to clear the snow off cars in the parking lot the morning after a blizzard. We were blown away. 2. The continental breakfast is not just a plate of bagels. They have scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage along with all sorts of juice, coffee, tea, muffins, etc... It was another pleasant surprise to wake up to. 3. The rooms are very well appointed. No surprise there. It was basically the same setup as you will find at any travelers hotel. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. So thank you very much Wingate Bozeman, in our month long trip across the country, you absolutely took the prize as our favorite hotel!

This location is close to the highway only a few miles from the downtown area. You're away from the crowd but close enough if you need anything. The decor and ambiance is what you would expect, outdoorsy, wooden, chic, with a medium high end vibe. The rooms are nice with a small fridge, coffee bar area, a desk that I have used and needed many mornings and nights. The hotel staff is superb. The gym is better than most. Pool and Jacuzzi is always a nice touch. The free breakfast and coffee is always a good touch. I'll be back when I come back for work and for a vacation with my family.

I arrived earlier than expected, and was pleasantly surprised that a room was available right away. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially mike, he even recommended a great local spot for lunch. The lobby was inviting and thoughtfully stocked with complementary coffee and water. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a very cozy bed that made it easy to relax after a long day. I also used the gym twice during my stay, and it exceeded my expectations. It was clean, stocked with towels and water, and featured excellent equipment, a brand new peloton bike. There was also a nice indoor pool. The complementary breakfast each morning was fresh, satisfying and a great way to start the day. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to everything . I rented a car, I was a bit disappointed that guests are charged for parking. I do hope the hotel will consider waiving parking fees in the future. After I returned home, I noticed a charge on my bill from the hotel restaurant, a charge i hadn't made. I called the hotel, and they assured me they would look into it. Just two days later, i received a call from Ryan Bates, the assistant general manager, who personally apologized for the inconvenience and promptly issued a refund. That level of customer service truly stands out and ledt a lasting impression. All in all, this was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again next time im in Bozeman.
