We ended up narrowing our brands down to a couple; one of which was Hot Springs. We went into Leisure Pool-n-Spa and it was just a pleasant experience from that point forward. Sandra came over to help my wife and I look and even though we were expecting to have some pressure on purchasing, it was completely the opposite. She could not have been nicer, ZERO pressure, and extremely informative. She was also very patient with us while we were asking a ton of questions and going across their showroom between all the different models. She had a large amount of knowledge with every model and showed us all the minor differences between them. I also have known the owner of the business for many years as I have relied on them to service our pool. Through the years he has always treated me as a top priority and did whatever needed to be done to resolve the pool issue....that's including finding pumps, filters, etc. that I was needing as quickly as possible. My research has shown that the big part of buying a hot tub is making sure you have a good service department that comes along with it and me knowing that Leisure has already proven themselves to me with first hand experience that has spanned years....made the purchase decision that much easier. Even after we had the tub installed, Sandra came to our home and did a hands on tutorial on how to work the thing. Great customer service and a great purchasing experience!

However on the second go around, I had not heard anything for 2 weeks after contacting them. I sent an email asking if they had any idea when they would be able to make it and was told about a week out. Ok, I was good with that. I understand that in the spring and early summer that are going to be busy. 2 weeks ...still nothing. I sent an email stating I would try to find someone else to do the work. No reply. Everyone I've talked to recommended Gamache and said what a good job they did. Did I just fall through the cracks? Update: So...after 6 weeks and writing the review above, I was finally contacted about doing my repairs. They were able to get out the same day and the repairs were completed. Was contacted afterwards to see if the repairs were satisfactory. Replied that the were and was very happy with them. Was then asked to take down my original review! Really??? Stated that I would update. Couple of days later I received a call asking if I had received the statement. Huh? Yeah, I got it and it's in the mail. Gotta say....5 stars for the repairs (Jesse was great!)...1 star for the customer service. Never been asked to take down a review before.

Our experience with this company started off great - Dale, the salesman, came across as a likable,…read moresincere guy. However our experience dropped sharply soon after we signed the contract. Dale, the likable and seemingly sincere salesman was out of town when the crew started work a week earlier than scheduled. Less than 24 hours after they finished the job, large pockets of bubbling and/ or peeling paint began to show. The crew began with taping - no cleaning. Anyone who's ever read the back of a paint or varnish can knows that the #1 important preparation step is to thoroughly clean the surface. The crew did not speak English nor did the owner who stopped by a couple of times during the job, so communication with Dale gone was very difficult. We finally convinced them that the contract we signed with Dale included cleaning before painting - very strange that we would have to convince them of that fact given what a vitally important step it is! The crew then brought out 'wipes' to clean and prep the dirty siding with. Not only that, but they used them in just few places. Large areas of dirt and grime on the house were still there after they 'cleaned.' In other words, the crew primed and painted on top of siding that hadn't been cleaned for over 15 years. The crew was completely disengaged and 'checked out' much of time - About 1/2 way through the paint job, the unsupervised crew started painting the trim the main house color. They seemed confused and argued with me when I pointed out the problem/ discrepancy. They also varnished over areas that had been previously painted and then argued with me stating instead that the surface had been previously varnished. Then finally, after over a day of back and forth, showing them pictures etc, they admitted their mistake but then tried to talk me into keeping the surface varnished. Truly an unbelievable experience with a company I'd checked reviews and CCB complaint history of prior to hiring- I certainly was not in any way expecting the disaster that was unfolding. I won't get into the 5 month long back and forth about what happened from there. But in short, the closest to taking responsibility for the numerous issues with the crew (and the shoddy work they did) the salesman came was that he admitted that 'mistakes were made.' He did this however in our face to face conversations, never in writing. In writing, he took zero responsibility and made excuses by blaming the problem paint job on the house's pre-existing paint, Brushour' a proposed fix: Dale the salesman offered to patch paint the problem areas for 1 year if we first scraped them - not helpful or acceptable given the enormity of the problem painting over dirt and grime had caused. He also suggested we sell the house before the problems got worse. He said people don't notice "things like that" when they're buying a house. When I responded by saying that, ethically, I couldn't pass on a problem paint job to a buyer without disclosing what was wrong, he again insisted that 'they' don't notice things like that. Boy had I gotten a wrong read on Dale when we hired Brushhour. Unfortunately, the professional opinions of the paint companies we've had come take a look at the job are all of the opinion that the lack of cleaning before painting, coupled with the 'shoddy' workmanship, have now created a much larger problem by painting over them. So much so that to properly correct, it will require complete removal of the paint they applied, proper cleaning and re-painting. Despite months of trying to work out an amicable solution with Brushhour, they continue to be more interested in avoiding responsibility for their crew's shoddy work than in fixing the problems they created and moving on. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a painter.

The drain wasn't even connected within an hour. I heard them say "you broke it". They then had to get more parts and finished re attaching the drain. There was no drainage after they reconnected the pipe and they tested flow. They knew there was a clog and they left my tub full of water after charging us over $600 For 2 hrs of work. so I gave the company a call and they told us to get ahold of there other team which would be an additional $375 for them to unclog our pipe. I believe this company is money hungry and doesn't care to fully take care of their customer. I am not satisfied.

We also found that the selection at the base price was far better than the other options. The customer service and installation could not have been better. Installation was on time and the installers were clean, polite, and very careful. They put down tarps on the pathway in and worked over covered floors in the installation area. The office person we worked with, Kendra, was exceptional! Always happy to help, communicative, accurate and knowledgeable. As a former construction contractor in a previous life I had become frustrated with TriCities contractors. They are typically late, disinterested, don't return calls, are grossly expensive and their work was marginal. Rock Hard Granite has restored my faith in contractors. Strongly recommend!!
