We had hired him to paint almost the full interior and exterior of our home but only got to doors, base molding, wainscoting, kitchen cabinets, and 1 bedroom. All of which have drips galore and missed spots. Zero prep on the cabinets, literally just sprayed over nails sticking out. He would say "I'm not sure what's going on with the paint because it keeps dripping but I'll go back and sand it off" or he would say "the drips were there before". He would ask me to go around with tape to mark anything that needed attention. The final straw was painting a bedroom. He painted the ceiling the wall color mistakenly. The walls were super stripey and soooo poorly painted. I mentioned this to him and he said "I don't know what's going on with the paint, I put two coats on. Would it be possible if I purchased higher quality paint?". We had given him a $3k deposit which he felt he had earned that week and decided not to refund us any of it (not even the portion for the exterior). We asked him to come pick up his supplies and leave all paint for us the next day. He said he could be at our house at 9am so we planned to meet him at that time. Instead he texts us at 7:30am saying he was there grabbing his supplies. My husband drove over to get the key back and discovered he brought "help", apparently another employee who was quite defensive about their (mostly the owner Felix's) work. It felt wildly unprofessional. But anyways, I'm all for giving credit where credit is due so you can be the judge, all I can say is hire wall to wall at your own risk.

I paid him in advance which was a big mistake. I don't understand why he has done this and hurt his business because he did a good job on my exterior. Don't give him money you may never see him again. I've begged him since Oct to bring my doors back and he just won't respond. His handyman told me he never got paid and Manny acted like it was because I hadn't paid him. So add lier to the list of reasons to beware. I wish I had read reviews before hiring but seeing as I'm 60 I thought I better not tackle this job…read moreon my own. My dad painted houses as a 2nd job for 30+ years and I know what prep work, painting and clean up looks like. Just because someone can use a pressure washer, a paint sprayer, a calking gun and a paint brush/roller does NOT mean they know what they are doing! I had paint flakes everywhere from what I can only assume was from the pressure washer because the flaking paint on my deck didn't get scraped off, just painted over. The lady who gave me my estimate came out the next day and I pointed out everything I could find. She asked me to attach a little piece of tape by everything and they would be out to fix things. They repaired some but not all and not only did they not clean up the trash around my house or clean up the roof where they painted our chimney but all those tape pieces I put up to mark spots were on the ground as well as a paint lid, old calking, tips from the calk, paint on my retaining wall blocks around my house, calking and dried paint on my indoor/outdoor carpet on my deck and a few cigarette butts. Oh and they cleaned up paint brushes and the sprayer on my lawn so now I have dead spots. The scheduling was an issue since I was unable to get an ETA so I could make sure to put my big dogs inside, I ended up sitting around for 2 days waiting for them to show up. I will no longer take someones word when they claim to be professional. I did get a call from a manager wanting to chat and maybe do a walk around but my thought was...why? If they didn't get it right the first time or the second time then why would I think the third time will be any different? Besides I've cleaned up the mess and when the paint starts peeling I can handle it myself since I know what I'm doing.
