This was my first time ever going into the store and ordering from their website. Like everyone says, it's a mix of Hot Topic but with less bands and more anime and Disney in my opinion. And I'm all for it! Bonus for them supporting a cause too! I made a big purchase on their website since everything I ordered was not available in stores except one item. I went there to pick it up. They had a waiting line and monitored how many was going in. All the staff there are super friendly! They had my pick up order ready to go. I'm satisfied with their quality. But I'm more impressed with their customer service! One of my items was a gift but arrived damaged. I emailed them about it and within a COUPLE OF HOURS, they responded back to me and solved it right away! No questions asked. I have never had that happen EVER. And during Christmas week?! Amazing. I would always get some automated lame response and it would take days and a lot of back and forth. They offered to send out a new one right away, no fee or shipping charge. And another email when the replacement package was sent out, along with tracking! This is how you get loyal customers. Very pleased with this company. You can't even feel bad about the prices because it's supporting a great cause too. You will also find more sales on their website than in store. read more

Boxlunch is always a fun trip. The prices are a bit high for what they are selling, but that can be said about a lot of places. The employees are always so inviting, friendly, and helpful. They are really great about updating their instagram, to show what is in-stock, and what popular items have already been sold out. This way, if you're going for that specific item, you don't have to make the trip out if it's already sold out. Just like hot topic though, their stores need more space or need to be renting a bigger space in the mall. Both HT and Boxlunch always feel so cramped, and when the mall is busy, I just avoid going in, squishing by other customers. read more

Such a cool place with tons of nerdy figurines and gifts. If I had to compare this place to something, it is basically a less intense version of Hot Topic and a smaller version of F.Y.E, without the movies and CDs. They have clothes, Pops, backpacks, and mugs. Honestly, this store has tons of unusable things, but mostly decor and collectibles. The store is pretty small, but organized, and things aren't just thrown around wherever. For the most part, everything is separated by theme, tv show, or movie. The prices are definitely on the higher side here, but it's for a good cause. According to the website, "With every $10 spent on our pop culture-themed product offering of apparel, accessories, home goods, gift and novelty, and collectibles, BoxLunch will help provide a meal secured by Feeding America® on behalf of local member food banks." More places should be selfless like this and help out those who need it. I will always stand by helpful businesses like BoxLunch. read more

I love BoxLunch! It's basically Hot Topic with with a small twist, in that every $10 dollars spent secures a meal at a food pantry through their partnership with Feeding America. A GREAT twist, if you ask me! It's because of that that I try not to complain that the prices you may find at BoxLunch can be a bit high. That being said, much like their sister store Hot Topic, you can usually find some nicely priced sale items. BoxLunch sells so many things that will delight your inner fan girl (or fan boy). You'll find Funko Pops, pop culture clothing, geeky accessories, super cute purses, home goods themed around anime, disney, popular movies/tv shows and more! Every time I visit, I see something new! The staff at this BoxLunch is great. They're so friendly and seem to enjoy what they do. Last time I was in, one noticed what I was buying and filled me in on a new product they'd just received that I would probably like. (She was right!) I appreciate the attention they give to their customers! They're also usually good about reminding you about your loyal rewards! A great geeky gift shop! The closest thing I can compare to is Hot Topic minus the goth stuff; there is a great array of gifts, clothes and housewares for your favorite geek: comic characters, Star Wars, video game themed, Studio Ghibli, and assorted other pop culture. The store's name seems weird until you find out that BoxLunch puts a portion of their profits toward meals for people in need; they are coupled with Feeding America (a Chicago charity) to provide this service. This may make you feel a little better about paying $30 for a t-shirt... Overall, this is a unique shop with a bonus mission. Great for all your geektastic shopping needs! read more

The window display drew us inside and then we were hooked. Cool mix of retro t-shirts, buttons, mugs, and gaming-inspired backpacks, luggage, throws, and more. Star Wars, Disney lounge, Atari, comics, and television and movie merch. Super friendly service. Made a few purchases, will return next time we're in town! read more

To be honest, I only started coming here because it is way less intense than its emo brother, Hot Topic. I can actually buy cute pop culture apparel and figures without heavy metal singers screaming into my ears and not being able to see two feet in front of me with HT's lack of lighting. They have really cute clothes and their Funko Pop selection is great! Some of the items are a little pricey, but for every $10 spent the company donates lunches to those in need. Overall, I recommend stopping by if you are at Woodfield Mall. read more

So this is the first time coming in here and I was in heaven! I've heard of boxlunch before but never thought id get the opportunity to visit one. And it was better than I expected. They have to much like Disney and marvel and wonder woman, etc. They had a funko pop wall in the back. What I liked about this place as well is that if you were looking for something specific it was in one specific area. Like Disney was just in the front to the left and harry potter in front just to the right, etc. Nothing was scattered and you didn't really have to look in different places which was nice. Now some of the stuff can be a bit expensive but I think if you have the money its worth it. They have such cute bags and shirts and collectibles. I even got a rocket necklace from toy story. I think this place caters to a lot of people and have such wonderful stuff. Just sucks that there isn't one closer to where I live lol. But would def always go to this store if I could. read more

This is my favorite store in Woodfield, I always make sure to stop here every time I visit the mall. They have such a huge variety of everything you could think of including great apparel, collectibles and an incredible Funko Pop collection. The staff and management are always extremely helpful and friendly. read more

WOAH is this store overpriced. This store is literally an overpriced Hot Topic. Their stuff isn't even good quality for what they charge. Almost $80 for a hoodie with a crappy iron on? Awful. Their Sailor Moon stuff is ridiculously overpriced as well. You can get the same stuff from the Sailor Moon store for half the price. Save your money and don't go to this overpriced store. read more

I looked it up and apparently if cheap cotton is used this can happen. I spent around $40/item so I expected to get more than one wear out of them. I e-mailed the company and they just said, "Sorry! You washed them so there is nothing we can do." I'd definitely spend your money elsewhere if you want clothes that last more than a few minutes.

I walked that store for at least half hour without a single sales associate approaching me even though there were 3 or 4 at the register talking and no other customers in the store. Once in the dressing room, not one sales associate approached to see if I needed a different size or if they could remove items from the dressing room, something that would have happened in the past. I checked out, spending about $400, on 3 items. Normally, I would keep my items on the hanger but that's not an option anymore unless you want a drycleaner wire hanger. Unfortunately, my story doesn't end there. When I got home, I discovered I had been charged $59 for a tee shirt that was clearly marked $49. I returned to the store the next day with the tee shirt and receipt and explained what happened. Instead of 'I am very sorry that happened, let me take care of that for you', the women made me feel like I had come to rob the store. After double and triple checking, I received my credit. I never received an apology, just a look of why I would bother for $11. Will I shop at the Eileen Fisher Company Store again? Yes. Will I expect customer service? No. Will I check my receipt? Definitely?

Since there was a winter storm, the store and mall was not busy at all. They did run out of bigger bags so we had to stuff everything into multiple thin plastic bags. One of the salespeople was pretty friendly and pointed out a few cute jackets that were on sale. The self service kiosk was easy to navigate. Make sure you keep your receipt on hand since you need to scan the barcode when you leave. I definitely will return again since the price point was great.

In a Midwestern winter! I got 5 sweaters and 2 pairs of jeans for about $100! AMAZING! The clothes, even though they are affordable, wash well. The sweaters do not pill and I dry them by laying them flat so I have not experienced shrinkage either. The jeans are stretchy and move with me. I rocked a pair to a slide park and I was happy with my choice. The staff is usually pretty friendly and will help when necessary. My card was having issues so he helped me check out and the next time my receipt bar code would not scan to let me out of the self checkout area and I was helped right away. They have collegiate wear (Harvard), pop culture wear (Stranger Things, the Simpsons, Billie Eilish, Disney), and sports teams (Chicago Bulls) at affordable prices. Since my favorite blue doored store near where I live closed, this has become my go to for jeans, statement pieces, and dress up clothes!

He rang the doorbell to notify me of his arrival. To my surprise Jeff kindly offered to move the heavy planter closer to its final destination. In addition to all this unexpected act of kindness, Jeff positioned it so effectively that moving this heavy planter into its final spot was effortless. Thanks to his extra effort, the planter is now exactly where I need it. When I offered Jeff a tip to show my gratitude for his care and helpfulness, he graciously declined, saying he was just happy to help. It is rare to encounter such genuine professionalism. You are fortunate to have someone like Jeff representing your company.

We were able to quickly set-up appointments that worked around our schedules and were at convenient locations. Our designer, Jamie, was a joy to work with! Her approach to our floral arrangements was inspired and excellently reflected the vision we had for our wedding. During our meetings, she always was on top of details and attentive to our needs. I am not sure if other comments have mentioned this, but Town and Country has a few locations throughout the Chicagoland area. We met at both the Schaumburg and Elgin locations throughout our wedding preparations. From the flower petals for our in memorial table to center pieces and bouquets, Jamie and Town and Country performed beyond our expectations. No detail was overlooked! Jamie was also fabulous about working with adjustments to our wedding day. We ended up needing fewer center pieces for the reception and Jamie gladly worked with us to make the adjustments. Another aspect of working with Jamie I valued was her talent for understanding the feel of our wedding and making suggestions. She helped us better capture our theme and save us money (always a plus!). Her knowledge of flowers that were in season for our wedding was a wonderful help! For example, she suggested snap dragons to help mirror our cherry blossom theme. They became one of my favorite parts of our center pieces! Town and Country has an amazing selection of rentals to meet any needs. We had rentals for the church arrangements and center pieces that were diverse! They moved arrangements from the church to be reused at the reception. They also willingly helped us to donate our arrangements to a hospice center following our wedding! The owner has an attitude problem because one day he's all happy and acts like you're a family. And the next day he's rude and brushing off kids' questions and interests. Was very upset when my kid asked a question about some collectible products and the owner rudely brushed him off. My kid was very upset and so disappointed.

I am in agreement with some of the other reviews that they give you a bit of the standoffish vibe with the warnings that cameras are on you and they do have the people in store keeping keen watch on all of the customers. We don't buy a toy every time we visit (my daughter would prefer otherwise) we do love to browse. The best time to buy a you is on a holiday weekend where they offer a special deal. The absolute best time to buy is during the anniversary sales in May. We did end buying the last Sea Bunny on our last visit. The clerk was very gracious to show us where it was located in the back of the store. For the size and quality of the toy it was a fair price.

If you go during busy hours, of course expect to wait a long time if you want to try on anything. If you find anything you want, buy it quickly as things sell out fast. If you are lucky enough to find something on sale in your size, snatch it up. The store is well organized but a lot of the popular sizes do sell out quickly in preferred styles. Checkout is still relatively fast because it's so automated with you being to just put everything in and the machines do all the work for you. I did an online in store purchase and was waiting a while as there was an extra associate who was able to help, but didn't acknowledge me until the other lead at the register told him to assist me. If you do purchase online and need to do a return in store, they will just give you a gift card as they won't credit your original card.

Some of the lowest reviews are legit and some are just plain asinine. For example the kid that said…read morethe other stores look cooler, that's probably the dumbest thing I've ever read. The prices are actually fair since they're a lot cheaper than most of the stores I shop at and they have excellent quality. They always have sales so I would check the website. It was very slow when I went there on a Saturday night but the employees kept the store clean and tidy. I guess they charge for plastic bags now which is weird. If you have bought a lot of items, be sure to bring one of your own bags to store them in after purchase.

As long as my kids keep their t-shirt purchases at a Rated PG for middle school, I'm okay with shopping here. The staff is fun and hip, and they have a lot of interesting t-shirts you won't see everywhere else. On a super crazy busy shopping weekend, my kid somehow convinced my hubby to purchase a shirt with a codeine drink reference, and my hubby had no clue whatsoever. When I pulled the shirt out of the bag today, I looked at him and said he'd be returning it pronto, and so we made another trip back out to make an exchange for something different. On the downside, they weren't very friendly to us about the return, and a little annoyed...but not yesterday! If you are a parent of younger kiddos, just keep in mind you'll have to dig through the t-shirts. The quality is terrific, the graphics are really cool, but some of the shirts are meant for an older crowd - LOL. Otherwise, Zumiez is a unique shopping experience.
