Bowwow has been great to my two dogs. The employees know them by name when I drop them off and are happy to see them. When I picked them up after a holiday trip, they gave us a calendar with pictures of them, it was very sweet! I always feel secure after I drop them off when I go on a vacation, I know they are going to be well taken care of! They are quick to call if they have any concerns. The customer service and professionalism at this facility is low. Only one person has been helpful, informative, kind, and reassuring amongst this staff. The owner on other hand gave me the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. She was rude, blunt, and disrespectful when I came in as a new customer ready to drop my dog off after temp test. If this is the owner's standards of service than I have no trust having my dog there. The cameras don't work. Tried the app on my android, iPhone, computer, web browser, mobile app. Everything, they. Did. Not. Work. Asked the owner to help me get it set and she told me to leave and watch a YouTube video. I did and so did my spouse.... With Every device we owned. The cameras just don't work. Put my "puppy" in small dog room and she was mounted twice from me just standing there watching their camera for 15 mins. I was pissed and called for help when the staff member in the room DIDNT even bat an eye and DIDNT CORRECT the other dog. If you are actually watching the dogs (aka doing your job) than you can recognize ques and stop something really bad from happening before it actually does. The other dog was following and aggressively smelling my dog's bottom from wall to wall for 10 mins. My puppy was obviously uncomfortable and that should've been the first Que to intervene. Thank god my puppy is fixed but she was petrified being pinned down on the floor by this bigger dog. Never going back is the least I could say. This all happened is our one and only visit. read more

The place is fun and all, yet the dogs are outside during the rain and heat, they keep barking all the time. The residents around the place can hear them from distance and it is very uncomfortable and disturbing for the people who live near this place. I really appreciate Bowwow Fun Towne. Mary and her staff are great, you can tell they care. I started to bring my pup here during the pandemic to get her some social time with other dogs. They offer a "puppy preschool" where they can socialize with the other babies and get some exposure to new things. I appreciate that they have add-ons for the dogs too. This is the only place that has an indoor dog pool in the area! They have indoor and outdoor play areas. In the summer, they put on sprinklers and pools for the dogs to cool down. They also have cameras so we can peak in and see how the dogs are doing through the day. But you can seriously tell that they genuinely care about the dogs in their care and the community. Last year, when The Dog Resort in Lake City had their fire, Mary and her staff stepped up to take in some of the displaced dogs. She even added a safety area for her own business. Come wash your furry friend. It's only 25$. They have aprons you can wear, many different shampoos from which to choose, a blow dryer and different brushes. The woman who runs it is nice. They have 4 shampoo tubs and a big doggie pool if your pooch likes to swim. That's quite unique. They also have day care. It looks like a big room where all the dogs hang out together. My Dog, Miss Vanna What Paws, attends Bowwow Fun Towne daycare regularly. She always have a blast. She always comes home happy and super tired from all plays after daycare. We have checked out few other daycare in the area, and Bowwow was the only one who was open to show their facilities! Some of places are not really into showing you their facilities which worries me! Bowwow even have cameras so you can actually see your dog all day if you want! (I have to admit its kinda unhealthy though. You go to work and just staring at Bowwow web cam and stalking your dog all day!! :P) Everyone works here are great and very nice. They remember all their daycare dogs name which is very impressive. My favorite thing to do is checking on their facebook to see if my dog has new photo/video. I highly recommend Bowwow to anyone who needs daycare/boarding for their fur babies. read more

It's quite clear that Mary is an experienced dog handler who cares cares about the clients in her care. I was relieved to see that my pup had a great day. If I could leave a negative amount of stars, I would. We recently went on an eleven day vacation and left a fit, happy, healthy, tail wagging Golden Retriever in their care. When we picked her up, she was lethargic and had labored breathing. She could barely walk and had to be picked up to be put in the car. When we commented on her condition, we were told she was "tired". We drove her to our regular vet who instructed us to take the dog to an emergency vet immediately. Upon arrival, she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and was beyond a state of shock. Despite Herculean efforts and thousands upon thousands of dollars spent on life support, the dog died at the emergency vet within hours of being admitted. It was discovered that the dog had been in distress for days, with no medical attention. We were never notified that there was any kind of problem with the dog. When we approached the owner of Bow Wow Fun Towne, she refused to take any responsibility and didn't even have the decency or compassion to say she was sorry. Instead, she wanted to talk about the bill. This is animal cruelty and animal neglect...no doubt about it. Nothing can bring our dog back, but perhaps we can save another dog from such a fate. Stay away from Bow Wow Fun Towne if you value the life of your dog. Mary Mark may kill YOUR dog, just as she did to ours. I can't sleep at night knowing how my dog suffered for days on end while in the care of Bow Wow Fun Towne. The guilt is overwhelming. read more

We had a really poor experience at Bowwow Fun Towne. Our dog, despite being a happy guy at other doggie day cares, shook and trembled with fear each time we tried to drop him off. We bought a 10 pack in advance that we got no value out of. I was told in a pretty curt tone that "the website says no refunds." I took my lab to the pool last week. After he jumped in, he got stuck in a wire that was in the pool. It should have been removed before dogs get in. We cannot go in the pool. My dog was scared and started freaking out. I yelled for the staff person to get the wire out. She eventually did and said she didn't know it was in. We were there for no more than 7mins total. My dog was too traumatized to go back in. I am concerned about lack of safety and staff training. I sent an email to the place and still have not heard back. I was taking a video and have the experience all on tape. read more

We boarded our dog for a week. A high engery 8 month old pup. Three days before coming home we got a calling saying our dog had been bitten, but was fine. We asked what had happened and where told they did not know, and where not sure which dog had bitten ours. Surprising, as they have on site staff and cameras. When we picked up our dog, he was clearly not "fine". With over a three inch open cut still dripping fuild. We went straight to the vet, who was horrified that our dog had not been given medical attention. He said the dog was in pain and the cut had become infected. It took four layers of stitchs to put our dog back together (very deep bit). We do not hold this organization responsible for our dog being bitten (though it was upsetting and concerning). We do hold them responsible for further endangering our pet by not seeking medical care. They did offer to cover our medical care cost. This happend a few years ago, our dog is doing great, but has a large visible premenet scare. read more

Stopped in and a woman, presumably the owner, asked me to checkout the website for doggy daycare and watch the video on there when I asked more about daycare. She said, "It's just like kid daycare" (not at all helpful - even a parent of a human child would want more info than that). She was rude and not seeming to get that I was a potential customer. I tried to get her to tell me more about the doggy day care and she said to just go watch the live feed in the entryway while she was washing a dog. I then asked about her policy on dogs getting vaccinated for kennel cough and she just begins to tell me that dogs can get it even if vaccinated. So, then I pushed further to get her policy. It was really ridiculous about her negative attitude and unwillingness to tell me about her business' services. When I asked about supervision she said there were like 15 staff and sometimes 4-20 dogs. I asked further questions and she was just more annoyed. I'd read the reviews prior to going in, and now, I do tend to believe the negative ones over the positive ones. Safe to say, they aren't getting my business, despite my having a real need for my 8 month old puppy. I'd rather be safe. read more

Bowwow Fun Towne is a great place for your dogs! They play fetch, have fake grass outside, always have a person with the dogs, have a pool, and even a self wash! They even do a puppy play group on Sunday's to help socialize your puppy and teach them appropriate play styles and manners! My dogs have loved coming here and it is the only place one of my pups will let us give him a bath. Mary does amazing with nail trims! Dogs love it here! They have a swimming pool, do bathing if your pup needs it during daycare or even baths by appointment. Boarding rooms are really nicely set up and you can bring what ever you need to help your pup feel like home. If your dogs LOVE water and hoses they play with the water during nice days and it helps burn their energy quick! Bowwow Fun Towne is a great option for those in the area who want their dog to come home tired and happy! To be honest, when I first saw the place, I was a little bummed because our last doggie daycare was a lot bigger- but Mary and her team always give me back a tired, happy pup at the the end of the day. Between the hose and kiddy pools in the summer, and the full, heated pool in the winter, our girl is a happy camper every time she goes in. If you have a "water dog", pay for pool time- it's so worth it! Draw backs are common metropolitan issues: small parking lot on a busy street, cost, and size. These are all the same as renting an apartment nearby! This team will take care of your pup (even if you're crazy and make your own dog food), and help you if you're in a last minute bind too. I don't do a lot of reviews, but after reading the current ones, I was bummed that some people dragged the place down. Yes, your dog will come home stinky, but the alternative is to send your dog to a place that doesn't use rubber mats to protect their joints, or to a place that treats your dog like a bank account instead of a beloved family member. I left my fluffy sweet girl in this place in May 2019. Now it's the end of December 2019, and I still blame myself for that decision. Please, read my story and then think 500 times before considering this place for your furry family member. No one will care about your dog. NO ONE! Here is my story. We decided to leave our dog there because: a) it has an outdoor facility b) staff said that they are 24/7 at the location c) video camera d) each dog has its room (for boarding), and it's not a kennel. e) almost no smell f) nice staff who promised to call us immediately if they saw any unusual behavior and etc. and brought our dog to veterinary if it need. Sounds like a fairy tale, right? It was a tale, but it was a nightmarish one. I called every day while we were out, and each time we've heard that our dog was doing amazing, and we shouldn't worry about her. Liars! When we picked up our sweetheart the owner told us that they noticed one weird thing. Our dog looked at her front paws pretty often. We checked our dog paws in the car. OMG! Both paws were hurt. Wounds! It looked like our dog torn her fur for a long time. HOW THEY DID NOT CHECK HER PAWS? Are they blind? Do they even care? They charged extra for the boarding (i didn't remember the reason, DID NOT CARE about my dog condition, and LIED to me. We immediately went to a veterinarian. The vet said that there could be 2 causes: chemical in this place or anxiety (it was not the first boarding for our dog, so...). Also, the vet said that she torn fur from her paws for a while... What did we get at this place? Stressful experience for our dog. Painful treatment to heal wounds. Bills from the vet... read more

When choosing a doggy day care/boarding facility, trust and communication are vital. We're not just dropping off our dog, we're trusting that facility with a member of our family. I'm sorry to say that BowWow Fun Towne destroyed our trust in them completely. We dropped our pup off for the Thanksgiving weekend after regularly using BowWow Fun Towne in the past. Our pup loved it there and was always excited to go. On Sunday we receive a call saying that there was an incident involving our dog. Our dog was bitten in the ear by another dog. Of course we rush over as soon as the plane lands to pick him up. My husband and I were horrified to find out that he was bitten on Friday night. We weren't notified until Sunday afternoon. Not only that, BowWow Fun Towne told us that they treated his bite wound with ointment without our knowledge or permission. The emergency vet we saw afterwards warned us against doing this. The owner told us our dog was snappier than usual during drop off but failed to communicate this to us at the time. If our pup was having a bad reaction for one reason or another, I expected that to be communicated to us so we could have arranged for someone to pick him up. Without that communication, we assumed everything was good, like it had been during past visits. I realize that dogs can be unpredictable and sometimes the unpredictable can happen. But communication is key to keeping trust when something like this occurs. We weren't notified of the bite until nearly 48 hours later. We weren't notified of the unusual behavior of snapping. We weren't notified of the attempt at treatment. We weren't called at all until the last night of his boarding. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about what my dog experienced at BowWow Fun Towne, especially after trusting them for years. I regret dropping him off there during the Thanksgiving holiday and having to pick him up with his ear still bleeding. I also regret that the owner charged us full price even though our dog was injured under her care. Everyone I tell can't believe we were still charged full price. We've used many boarding/day care facilities for our dog and have never had an experience like this. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to recommend BowWow Fun Towne to other dog owners in the area. Totally disappointed, after being told by staff that I would be able to be in the pool with my dog, as website did not obviously state, I spent 80$ to have a fecal and Giardia test, 100$ on a life jacked and was excited. When I called to schedule I was told, sorry you cannot get in the pool with your dog. So 180$ plus time and driving for nothing! Especially paying for the fecal test with extra for Giardia and nobody bothered to clarify with me till after I wasted my money on a test it was totally unnecessary and expensive. read more

I was a walk in customer, my dog needed a bath and I've done the self wash before at other places. I knew what to expect going in, or so I thought. I was greeted promptly and asked if I knew how to wash a dog, which I knew how, I've had dogs most of my life. Nothing strange about the question, so I went on with my business washing my dog. They offered me a type of shampoo and I went with the oatmeal, it's always left my dogs hair feeling and smelling great. This part of the wash was fine but why the three star review? With prices increasing at a fast rate, keeping customers happy or even wanting to come back is going to be a hard task. First time customers are very hard to keep and I left this place knowing I wouldn't be back. Customer service was fine but nothing over the top. Price was a little ridiculous for a 6 month old puppy. If you want return customers and lots of them you need to treat us a little better, especially in today economic landscape. 1st time customers get 5 dollars off first wash, with another coupon 5 dollars off on return visit within two months. I wasn't offered any other service while I was there (nail trimming or ears cleaned or whatnot.) I walked out of there not feeling like I received a 25 dollar wash. It's all about the experience and I wish that owners of their own business would take that into consideration. read more

We've been going to Bow Wow for almost two years and I couldn't have chosen a better spot for my pups! The staff is super friendly, beyond accommodating and I always leave with the feeling that my boys are in great care. The webcam, online videos and Facebook updates are awesome!!! There are always fun events like the costume contest and Customer Appreciation day. Mary and her team are awesome, patient and tuned into the needs of my two rather rambunctious Rhodesians. I can't recommend BowWow Fun Towne enough. I have been taking my dogs here for daycare and boarding for several years. Most importantly, they care about and take great care of my dogs. I have complete trust in them. Another great thing is their webcam, which allows me to watch my dogs whenever - it is both reassuring and fun! BowWow shows appreciation for their customers and they organize special events and community walks for us to participate in. They have a nice large pool for swimmers and raised tubs and dryers for self-service dogs washes (with shampoo, conditioner, etc provided). There are 4 play areas, two of which are outside. They have ramps, cots, small wading pools, tunnels, etc for stimulation. And they maintain a safe staff to dog ratio. If you are looking for a fun, positive, and safe place for your dogs, I definitely recommend BowWow Fun Towne! I am so happy I found them. read more

This review is for those thinking about taking a tour here. We did that just today and were not impressed. We walked in and asked for a tour. The girl at the front desk showed us the dog play areas on the security cameras and was more than happy to show us the swimming area, but balked at bringing us into the actual play area as we might "freak the dogs out." She finally did, and we saw why she balked. The whole place reeked of urine and we even saw a puddle of pee on the floor though the girl told us that there was an attendant for every room. I have volunteered for an animal shelter before, by the way. The shelter housed around 60 cats and 60 dogs, and there was not even a little smell of urine, so in my mind there is no excuse to have the place smelling that bad, especially when the rates are nearly $40/day. Long story short, we will definitely not be sending our dog here, not even once a week. We honestly feel that he is better off at home and would see this place as a punishment. ETA: the girl even asked us if we wanted to schedule a temperament test just based on the security camera footage and the pool visit! read more

I tried to contact them over the phone twice and both times the phone just rang and rang with no answer and no voicemail. Giving the benefit of the doubt i emailed them to ask about pricing and i did not get a reply till late that night. This place might be great once you show up on the doorstep, but they lost a customer when they refuse to be able to be contacted in any reasonable way. read more

Stella recently stayed for 15 days after several 'practice' overnite stays. We had her cleaned and nails clipped before we picked her up. She was glad to see us and was in great shape, had gained some muscle from all the play time with her friends. She slept soundly the first night home and took many naps the next day, she is now back to her normal 14 hours of sleep. The owner, Mary, and Tony filled us in on how the dog was. The staff at BW are great and seem to know the dogs well and care for them. I appreciate that there is always a person at BW, even overnight. read more

Really great self serve dog washing stations - which is what we come here for once in a while. They do day care, boarding, and they have an indoor swimming pool. We don't use those services - my dogs don't swim and I take them with us for the most part. The tubs are great. You can walk around them. Good water pressure. Good products available. Good dryers. Large and open room. Pretty doggone inexpensive, too. You can get in, get er done, and get out really fast. No hassles. Friendly people work there, too. This is a good between hair cut appointment place where I don't have to clean up one of the tubs at home. My pups hate baths and are pretty messy Puginese. read more

Absolutely love this place! The staff is so friendly and they do an amazing job watching the dogs. They are extremely organized with their process of dropping off and picking up you puppy. You walk in the door to pick up your dog and they have already seen you parking and so by the time you walk in they have your dog ready for you to go home. The owner is great! Not a happy experience.... I took my dog to Bow Wow Fun Towne about two weeks ago for a nail trim, teeth brushing and a wash. The gentleman who attended to her did about the worst job you could imagine. He cut every single one of her quicks which we all bleeding when we picked her up, he did not fully dry her her under coat was still soaked and she came home with a bunch of mats! I specifically asked if they blew dry and brushed and was assured they would. That did not happen once so ever. I did end up calling the owner the next day to let her know what type of service we received. All I wanted out of the call was to let her know so she could possibly take more time to train the gentleman who worked with my dog. She felt very bad and requested for us to come back in a month or so (once she was ready for a new pamper session) and she herself to attend to my dog. At this point I felt what was the harm as long as the owner was the one who took care of her... Unfortunately it gets worse.... Later that evening after I had already spoken to the owner my poor puppy was all still limping around because of her nails and seemed very itchy. I new it wasn't the shampoo they used because I brought in her normal shampoo she uses at home. At this point I just assumed he did not rinse it all off (made sense to me considering the rest of the service was so poor), so a few days went buy and she seemly got more itchy. So I then washed her again myself and made sure she had no shampoo left on her. I was hoping she would have gotten better. Since then she has done nothing bet get worse. I began searching my little baby for... dare I say... fleas... She is a pekingese pomeranian which means she is fuuuuurry. Extremely difficult to look through her coat. and finally... there they were! So to sum up..... I paid for my dog to get FLEAS (and $60 in flea medication), bloody toe nails and a matted wet coat. I would say this place is not a win. I am extremely disappointed and sad for my little bear pup! She is the best dog ever, This breaks her momma's heart! And her daddy is just mad! read more

I've taken the fur kid here several times now for her nail clippings. She's an 80lb whimpering, frantic beast when you pull out the nail clippers so we always need professional help. The staff here has always gotten us in and out pretty quickly and does an amazing job cutting Daisy's nails, despite her wiggles and protests. The rest of the space looks pretty amazing. Large, indoor (heated?) pool for the doggies to go swimming. Giant, walk-in tubs for bathing your big dogs (this is great compared to the places where I have to coax my 80lb scardy-cat of a dog up a ramp and into the wash area). Even though we just get her nails clipped, they've let us use the ear cleaner and face soap to clean up her ears and drooly jowls. read more

We used them a few tiles last year to board our bulldog while on vacation. The young guy who we did our drop off with the last time, was very unfriendly, didn't want to answer my questions and didn't seem to be nice with my dog. Like, I had a pit in my stomach leaving here there. Which should have been a sign to not leave her. When we picked her up her paws were all red and bloody in the between toes, she had a really bad limp in her front right leg and she was extremely itchy. Not sure if something was given to her besides the treats and food I packed? I communicated my issues with the owner I believe. There was no real resolution. I ended spending a few hundred at the vet with our dog getting her on an antibiotic, ointment for her paws, and having an X-ray done of her leg. All around disappointed. I think there are far too many dogs in the play area, and am sure my dog was hurt playing in there. We now use a private dog boarder, who only does a few at a time and in her home. This experience has been SO much better. We even get pictures and text updates of what she's up to, while we are away. read more

My dog went to this place a couple of times for day care. Being an overprotective dog momma, I watched him play on the cameras on my computer. Both times, I noticed one of the male caretakers yelling and grabbing my dog at his collar without reason. He didn't just do this to my dog but others as well. When we brought this up to the owner after pickup, it seemed that she didn't really care but defended this behavior by explaining that my dog was stalking another dog. Now, I have a very submissive dog who has never been in a fight or causes trouble with dogs or people. All I know is that when my dog came home, he was not happy and that's all that counts for me. This place is also way too small for the amount of dogs they keep. There isn't really a big run but rather small compartment like fenced outdoor areas and indoor areas. Boarded my dog for four nights this past weekend. When I picked him up, girl said he'd thrown up that morning, but mostly water. I checked his food bag--I measured daily intake, provided a measuring cup and put in 2 extras. The bag was full!!! He had not been fed or at least not his food! He woke at 4:00am this morning vomiting blood and is now at the vet. Terrible service, considering her rates and B.S. charges for "temperament test" and half days for before and after noon. I'll never go back and will post another review on how my dog's vet bill is handled. Not caring at all, except for $$$. TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG. Owner's response totally untrue. If in fact he did not eat, they could and should have called me or my local emergency contact that was provided to them. They did not. Moreover, he has never not eaten before at this location or when boarded elsewhere. read more

I decided to tune into their live recording(which was very tough to get it working, but figured it out) (they have a link though their website that connects.to live moniters in their inclousures) .and noticed one of the workers roughly handling a dog. I was appalled by the way that he grabbed the poor dog, was clearly yanking on its scruff an d with his back facing the camera in the end, was towering over the dog in order to threaten it.
