Canine Comfort Corner is the best dog day care on the East Side, period. We boarded our dogs at other places before finding Janice and had some bad experiences ( not going to elaborate on that ). We found CCC through a work friend, and have been bringing our dogs there for years now. Janice and staff are superb. Professional and caring. Janice is on another level, sometimes I think she loves my dogs more than I love my dogs ( if possible, lol ) she's full of advice and cares so much. I've been searching for a place to board my pups ever since they were born and I've finally found it at Canine Comfort Corner! I originally discovered Canine Comfort Corner through the SniffSpot app. It's a great app where you can 'rent' others land for some off leash fun! One of my dogs is deaf and a bit reactive so renting the field at Canine Comfort Corner is wonderful for him. After our SniffSpot visit, I did some research on their website and saw they did dog boarding. A huge plus for a searching dog mom is that they had the pups daily schedule posted to their website. I saw they got to play AND rest according to what the dogs wanted/needed. All for a reasonable, all-inclusive price. They don't nickel and dime for medicine, extra playtime, etc. Every staff member I've meet has been so wonderful and caring towards my dogs. Janice, the owner, refers to the dogs as my 'kids' which always makes me laugh. She's very in touch with what the dogs need, and I can tell she really pays attention. My dog is always so excited to stay here! He's previously been anxious of staying overnight at a strange place without me, but hops straight of the car, in through the door, and out to the back yard as soon as we arrive every single time since his first visit. (No ceremonious good-bye, which makes me choke up a little, but I'm glad he's happy!) My pup gets a really good mix of socialization and rest throughout his stay too - he's always worn out, but well taken care of. I've been going here now for about three years, and every single experience has been wonderful. I'll never forget the day we got home and he was so tired that he actually put himself to bed before dinner. That has NEVER happened before! (It was also really awesome that the team at Canine Comfort Corner is aware of how car-sick dogs can get, and will deliberately NOT feed them dinner if you have a dinner-time pick-up scheduled. I never knew that before and learned it the hard way once before going there....) I love how the team always checks in with you regarding how you and the pup are doing - asking if anything has changed or if anything is special about the pup's health/diet/etc. about this particular stay. I've scheduled my dog's visits in advance for the past couple years - and unfortunately a recent infection caused us to miss a visit on shorter notice than I hoped. The next time we walked through the door, we were greeted with a "Hello" and "How has Adama been feeling, is he doing ok?" which was really refreshing, and I knew that rather than needing to apologize and feel bad about what happened, my pup was in really good hands. read more

We left our 3-1/2 month old pup here for two weeks. No, we didn't want to leave her, but we have had a trip planned for quite awhile. And no, we weren't planning on rescuing our little dog earlier this summer either, but a dog enters your life when they are supposed to. So, deciding that there was no way to take her with us, we searched around for a place where we felt our pup would be treated well, have other dogs to romp around with, and not backslide on all the training we had been putting into her. We are big believers in positive training methods and she has been going to Ahimsa's puppy kindergarten (see my review). Ahimsa recommends Canine Comfort Corner, so after some looking around, we decided to go with them. CCC is set up out of the owner's, Janice, house. She has 5 super dog friendly acres, including plenty of indoor space for cruddy days. The place is clean, doesn't smell at all, and the staff seem to truly enjoy their work. We opted to not just board our dog, but to also pay an extra couple hundred for Janice to do some training. When we went to go pick our dog up, we spent the first hour just sitting with Janice talking us through how the pup did, and some training philosophy and pointers. Then we spent another hour or so with the dog and Janice, with Janice showing us various training items, then watching us with the dog to ensure we were consistent and helping the dog succeed. Pretty cool to get the one on one time with a trainer. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because our dog now tends to jump up on people, and she didn't do that before we left. I think it is because Janice always has treats on her and the dog learned that if she jumped up, Janice would tell her off, then the dog would get treats for jumping down. Not a big deal, because our dog has now quickly learned that instead of treats, she gets our backside if she jumps up. But, all in all, I am super pleased that we went with Canine Comfort Corner, and definitely recommend them. read more

As the owner of a rescue who isn't totally sure of other dogs, we were worried about finding a safe, secure, and welcoming kennel for our beloved pup when we went out of town for a long weekend. My husband and I don't have children, so we dote on our dog. He's an integral part of our family, and we are quite particular about his care. Over the years, We've tried several high-end kennels and doggie day cares. No place compares to Canine Comfort Corner. CCC is a small kennel and it provides the perfect balance of kennel time and play time. The play time is ideal because Janice knows dogs better than just about anyone I've met. She has a process for introducing dogs and creating just the right play group. And all play sessions are fully supervised (unlike most places). Janice, the owner, and all her staff are wonderful, passionate about dogs, and extremely knowledgeable. We never worry about our boy when he's in Janice's good care. I will NEVER take my dogs here again. They both had to go the vet right after their stay. One has an ear infection the other a bladder infection. My big dog was shoved in a tiny kennel when I came to pick him up. They both went the bathroom 6 times in the hour at home which makes me know they weren't let out like they should. The place is so dirty and gross, I would be surprised if it passed code. I would never refer anyone to this place. I should have acted on my feelings when i dropped them off. I'm very unhappy with my experience here. I would give it a zero star!!!! read more

I tried to thoughtfully board my 3 year old Sheltie for the 1st time, I carefully questioned facilitiies about their policies and how the pets spent their time there. Thankfully my trip did not exceed 10 days and I was able to provide jim with the Emergency Vet care required for him to survive. Within the first. 3 days I was contacted to advise me my dog was vomiting, when I inquired about the food he was eating; I was alarmed that conytrary to specifically leaving instructions to not feed him anything but the kibble provided he was eating only canned food. I called there * times to inquire about how he was doing at his " puppy camp". I was assured he was "happy". I picked up a lame dog, that I carriedd to my car, unopened treats I provided and approximately 1 cup of food gone from a new bag of dog food, for the 1en day stay! His feet were bloody from being forced to travel over gravel to the fields and woods. The staff would not provide me with any information regarding food fed to my diog or treats given to him, only a printout with e coli symptoms a nd a staff member told me other dogs boarded at the same time had problems because there was a recall on dog foods! One would think. these things would rise to the level of gross negligence, but 007. Contract. that I voluntarily signed relleases them of all liability, accountability and responsibility. The y retain the License to Kill and in the event of a credit card dispute have a legal right for compensation for doing it. I was fortunate, my dog survived, had it been up to my finances alone I would of lost my friend, the $2300. It cost with no promise of survival wasnot within my ability to pay. r. I think more than the sting of paying for this kind of negligence, was the self serving attitude afterward, when they had the abiility to provide useful information that could have eithether made a difference in the life or death of my dog or the amount of time he was on. IVs, having painful tests, and the billing was proceeeding at $80. Every 3 hours jiust to be there. I have brought my dog Rilee here for boarding on several occasions. I will never bring her anywhere else, as each time has been a great experience. Rilee is a little anti social around other dogs so it's always tough introducing her to new dogs and the staff here make sure that she can be around others with the same temperament as her. I feel that the staff here knows her well enough by now to really control her environment and make sure she has a happy and safe visit. I was nervous the first couple of times I took her here but now I am able to leave her and not have to worry. Thank you for your great care! read more

The service is the BEST you can get, and yet the daycare rates are probably the cheapest that can be offered. The deal breaker? YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO GET YOUR DOG EXERCISED AND SOCIALIZED. That's right. No other kennel that I know offers such outstanding service. You shouldn't have to pay extra to get your dog let out every once and a while, that's seriously just cruel. I've talked to people who know Janice, and they say Janice probably knows more about dogs than Caesar Millan. I also have observed Janice's strict safety policies and I believed she mentioned something about being the cleanest kennel around (which I believe- I have never smelt anything despite the amount of animals there and the place is always clean). read more

I seriously love this place for my little dog who's filled with anxiety when just getting in the car. She's a miniature doxie who loves her house and is nervous when she has to leave or meet new people or dogs. We used a few other boarding places before we found Canine Comfort Corner. Everywhere else we went, it took weeks before she recovered from her experience - including not eating, shaking all the time, etc. Canine Comfort Corner loves dogs and after the initial shock of us leaving, it sounds like our dog loves it there too. She's a picky eater and they go to great lengths to ensure she eats. They mixed yogurt into her dry food one time, gave her cheese slices and even one time peeled hot dog slices for her! My dog is excited to see us when we come back and easily jumps right back to her normal routine at home. No more weird behaviors like at other boarding places. Thank you for doting on my dog! I have a special needs dog. He has both Addison's Disease and Refractory Epilepsy which means he has seizures about once a month. One of the triggers of his seizures is my travel. When interviewing different boarding facilities, I wanted to be sure the staff knew what to do if my dog had a seizure. The staff at Canine Comfort Corner knew exactly what to do and had a plan of action if he had one. I wanted to make sure my dog felt comfortable there, so I dropped him off 2 times for doggie day care, which he loved. I had a trip to NY last weekend and my dog was scheduled to stay for 5 days. On the first night he had a seizure in his kennel at 11:30 at night. I was so relieved to hear that the staff heard him, gave him the medicine he needed as I had indicated on his information sheet, and took extra measures to make sure he was ok before putting him back to bed. They also called me and reassured me that he was ok. I could not be more grateful to have my dog in their care when I'm 3,000 miles away. I will continue to drop off my dog for day care, because he loves it and we already have another trip scheduled during the new year and I'm sure my dog will be in safe hands while we're away! read more

Janice and Starr have taken wonderful care of our corgi, Simon, and our aging poodle-terrier, Maggie, for years. Recently, they came through for us in amazing fashion. We were preparing for a cross-country move when an unexpected medical emergency kept us in Seattle for several extra days. I called them in distress and they graciously agreed to squeeze Maggie and Simon into their already packed summer roster of dogs. I have been using CCC for years. I travel 25 miles to get here every time which is not easy when you are trying to get out of town for a trip. I trust Janice and her staff and they seem very genuine about loving and caring for dogs. I can tell because my dog loves it here. They left my dog in a tiny kennel where she got no water all day! When I asked why they told me it was messy... my dog is 14 she needs to be able to have fresh water when ever she wants.When I picked her up she was incredibly lethargic wasn't to happy to see us and kind of slowly walked with us to the car. This is a dog whos tail is going all the time. She may not run around as much as she use to but is always way to excited to see us especially after we have been gone for a week. It took her about 5 days to finally get back to her old self. We also left them with the amount of dog food she would need for a weeks stay plus an extra day or 2 just in case. Turns out they weren't even feeding her the food we brought! She has a vary specific diet at this age and a sensitive stomach. They were mixing other things into her food.We took her to the vet for a check up just to make sure she was ok and he said it seems like she just hadn't been eating or drinking much for her stay. I will never subject my poor dog to that again! They told me she was in the kennel all day except for 2 or 3 times a day when she got 30 mins out side with the other dogs and 2 just get out of the kennel pee and get back in breaks. so an hour and a half of not in the kennel time a day plus two 5 min pee breaks.
