Love this family place! Felt like I was eating at my grandmother's house. Service friendly, food hot and save room for hot banana pudding served warm. Right In the middle of a not so populated area. But so worth the drive.

Good service. Good food. What else do you need? Restaurant was larger than I expected but clean and nice.

Best home made banana pudding. Farm to table food. Prepared just like my grandma made. Sundays fried chicken is the best.

Overpriced for basic comfort food. They also didn't have basic jelly for biscuits? I won't return

This was the closest restaurant with the best reviews so we decided to check it out. We almost passed it. It's kinda hidden away next to a motel very close to the I75 overpass at 41. Our friend's ninja driving skills got us in just fine there at the last minute. I had the country fried steak per the recommendation of Christi B below. Excellent decision. It was served with gravy, real mashed potatoes, green beans and a roll. Delicious. My food came out before my husband's and our friend's and my mister decided to start "taste testing" my food upon delivery. I thought we were about to fight over the fork! My mister and our friend both ordered a cheeseburger with fries. Both guys thoroughly enjoyed their burgers. I snagged a bite of one (fair is fair, right?) and it was indeed tasty. I had intentions of dessert but the servings were large enough that I barely finished my meal. Adding more food was simply out of the question. The older guy that served our food (and cooked it to my knowledge) was laid back, friendly and quite humorous. He checked on us frequently and made sure our experience was pleasant. Great southern hospitality you would/should expect here in the deep south. Definitely a hole in the wall with an interesting atmosphere. A lot of Route 66 decor decorates the walls. There are both tables and booths. You choose your seat when you walk in. I will admit it looks a little sketchy from the outside. Reasonably priced. The mister and I got out of there with a bill that was under $20. Our friend spent maybe $6 or $7. Of course, both are before tip. Go check it out. We will be back when in the area.

We had the lobster risotto and the pistachio-crusted halibut, and both were excellent. The service, though, really took away from the experience. We had noted that it was our anniversary when making the reservation, so we were a little surprised that it was never acknowledged during the evening. We weren't expecting anything complimentary or special, but even a simple "Happy Anniversary" would have been a nice touch. Our server unfortunately had a noticeable attitude throughout the meal. He was short with us and at times gave the impression that he was bothered that we were there. I don't want to mention him by name because maybe he was simply having a bad evening, but the attitude was incredibly difficult to ignore and it affected the experience. To be fair, everyone else we interacted with was very kind and pleasant, so this seemed isolated to our experience with our server. For a restaurant with such a beautiful property and food at this level, we expected the service to match. We weren't expecting anything extravagant, but for an anniversary dinner, we expected to feel welcomed and taken care of. Unfortunately, we didn't get that. That being said, I would still recommend visiting. The property is absolutely stunning and the food was excellent, so I don't want our experience with one server to take away from what is otherwise a beautiful restaurant. I just felt it was worth mentioning because the service unfortunately made what should have been a really special anniversary dinner feel underwhelming.

He gifted us with free champagne, steak enhancements and dessert. A flambéed Crème brûlée from the brilliant mind of Michael who prepared it for us personally table-side. I could go on about how incredible the food and service was forever and the location itself it's absolutely gorgeous. We shall be returning to this wonderful place as soon and as often as we can.
