Just a pretty meh place. There wasn't anything that really made this place wow me. Just your typical neighborhood breakfast spot. There were plenty of folks inside so it seemed popular. The extra crispy hash browns were not crispy at all and really sad. I wondered while chewing if they were cooked at all? The sausages are good and look like hot dogs. Just very overpriced for the portions and overall food quality. My partner and I have eaten both take out and in the restaurant, and both were less than satisfactory. The takeout always takes 5-10 minutes longer than you're told, and the service is slow. I do understand that it was a Sunday morning, but we placed our order with plenty of time to spare, Also, a majority of the clientele when eating there has been people with AARP cards. So overall, I would not suggest going to this restaurant for breakfast. The thing that makes small restaurants worth going to, isn't necessarily the overall food quality. For smaller restaurants like this I don't expect the highest quality food, but I do expect larger portions. read more

I decided to try this place for a late breakfast despite the mediocre reviews. I try not to leave bad reviews unless my experience is really, really bad. Although that wasn't the case here, I have to say this was probably the most bland, flavorless meal I've ever had. I had the Bowles breakfast with scrambled eggs, a biscuit and gravy, sausage, and "hash browns." When my plate arrived it was just a mass of beige-colored stuff (the sausage patty being the only exception). And that's how the whole thing tasted. As another review mentions, the potatoes seem like they're boiled without any hint of seasoning, crispiness, etc. The scrambled eggs were similarly, excruciatingly bland. As far as the biscuit and gravy, and as a huge fan of good biscuits and gravy, this was not the good kind. This tasted like some flour and water stirred together and a tiny bit of sausage thrown in. Adding LOTS of salt and pepper to the whole plate couldn't bring out any hint of tastiness that would make me want to eat here again. read more

I've been a frequent customer for a couple years and I continue to do take-out during this pandemic. I thought it was time to give a review for one of my favorite places to eat in Littleton. Specifically...I gravitate toward the Huevos Rancheros and Crispy Rellenos! Their green chili is homemade and delicious and is featured in many of the dishes on their menu! Had the biscuits and sausage gravy. The biscuits were square - made on a sheet I think. I didn't like the texture, more like a cake. Gravy was very creamy, with not enough sausage or pepper for me. Chicken fried steak and eggs was good. Pancakes, link and sausage patties were fine. Nice view outside with the waterfall. read more

Took my sons here for a nice, yummy breakfast. Nice atomosphere, friendly workers, good food. I had the two egg with bacon and I ordered my bacon crispy, IT WAS PERFECT! The slices were big and thick too, I highly recommend the bacon! My sons had the kids egg with pancake and sausage. They ate every last bite. Will be back for lunch sometime! My only complaint? The tables seem really dirty, like they need a good, deep cleaning. Dishes and utensils were clean, so that was good! read more

Headed here New Year's Day to try something new. We loved it! We showed up about 10:15 and we just beat the rush. I attribute that at least in part to NYE celebrations keeping people up later than normal, but as it filled up, there never seemed to be a wait. The menu is a little limited compared to many breakfast joints, and I would have loved to see some Benedicts on the menu, but the portions were generous, the food was delicious, and service was phenomenally quick. The sausage links were a-maz-ing and the home made hash browns were incredible. I ordered a full order of French toast to share with my 3 year old, and truth told I probably could have gone with the half order, but he eats like a bird. Interior is pretty standard for a breakfast joint - nothing fancy, but it seemed clean and not at all crowded together. Parking was easy, too. Will definitely be back read more

I wanted to like this place more and it could have been a 5 star experience but the service was SOOO bad. I came in at 9:00 on a Monday after doing a morning Drs appointment. Was excited for the diner type feel. It was marginally busy and they offered me to sit at the bar and since I was by myself I took them up on it. Problem was, the bar was dirty and massively sticky with jam everywhere. I carefully avoided the stickiness to the best of my ability but this meant the silverware was sitting right on top of someone else's crumbs and jam. I was given a menu quickly and asked if I wanted coffee (awesome, I needed be caffeine!). However, it then took an odd turn of events where two more waitresses came and asked if I wanted coffee, but still no coffee. Finally when they came to take my order I asked again for the coffee and they finally brought it. Phew!!! I was getting caffangry! However they still had me sitting in filth. After I drained my first cup of coffee I finally tracked down a waitress willing to give me 5 seconds and asked her to Please at least let me have a rag so I could wipe away the stickiness. She was nice and brought so I was able to feel a little less sticky. A waitress flew by and said 'oh I'll bring you more coffee' as I'd been out for awhile. She never returned. Eventually another waitress brought my food. She also said, 'oh I'll bring you more coffee' to which I replied Great! Thanks!! I need it!!! Another 5 minutes and finally my toast came out (not sure what was the delay for toast) and yet a third waitress said, 'oh do you need more coffee.' YES PLEASE!!!! At this point I was sure there was a coffee conspiracy going on. I finished my entire breakfast with not another peep or check in. Finally after the waitress noticed I was finished she asked if I would like the check. I replied, yes and please...coffee! She brought the check and flew off somewhere. I put my card on top of the check and about 5 minutes later a different waitress came and took my card to run it. She came back and said, 'oh, did you need more coffee?' Oh my gosh. I just laughed. This must have been a game on their part. Continuously ask me if I want coffee, then never bring it. Seriously I was asked at least 5 times and never saw that coffee. Hard to stomach paying $2.30 for a single tiny diner cup of coffee which apparently the don't refill. I will say, food was good. Chicken fried steak was not the usual diner fair and prices were good. They did screw up my egg order (I ordered poached and got sunny side up) and the toast came out after a great deal of time....but, really the only part that really bothered me was the coffee! Once you walk in, and stand in front of the door as their waiting area, you are walked to your table and then you wait...and wait...and wait... Go somewhere else for breakfast. Went to Bowle's Cafe on a Sunday morning, given it was really the only local breakfast spot in Littleton and close to home we decided to give it a try. Yes, the service is as explained in other posts. Most of the servers and hostesses are younger girls, so you just need to give them a little bit of time to figure things out. Took a bit to get our table, because people in front of us didn't want the table they were offered. If you are a two top probably just take the two person table and not a booth. The hostesses shouldn't of allowed it, but anyways! We ended up getting a better table in the back as a result. Now on to the food. If you are looking for some good standard diner food this is your spot. Two of us had the tuna melts with fries and onion rings and everything was spot on. Really good! My boyfriend had the burger with an egg and onion rings and it was all equally good! If you are craving some standard good ol traditional food this is your spot. We are looking forward to trying breakfast and diner as well as it looks like they have a wide variety of options. Only recommendation is to be patient with the wait time as the food is worth it and comes out really fast once your seated! read more

This place is a great mom and pop diner! I always come here when I'm craving breakfast. Honestly they're way better than IHOP (down the street). Personally, I always go straight for the French toast. Holy cow, one of the best French toasts I've had in a while. They coat it in corn flakes which give it that extra kick! They serve their syrup always warms. The portions are massive for what you pay. I haven't quite tried everything on the menu, but my boyfriend orders something different every time. There hasn't been a single thing that he didn't love. I love Bowles Cafe! I've been going there since I moved to the area last year and have nothing but good things to say. But today my experience was exceptional! Although I only ordered take out and it was a short time interaction, Kaitlyn who took my order and grabbed it when it was ready made my whole day! She is so very friendly and just has a warm energy.
