They took them and did an amazing quick job and also helped me with some tips that they suggested. The thing I appreciate the most from them is the honesty sometimes people will mistake honesty for bad customer service, but in this bowling space sometimes honesty is the best thing that you need to help you get better about the equipment that you decide to use and the balls that you're trying to use. I recently drove 30 miles to this shop looking for a new spare ball and I was extremely happy with the knowledge and customer service Scott provided. Although they didn't have the right size ball I wanted in stock, they ordered it and it arrived two days later as promised. Scott also includes drilling and inserts with all of his ball purchases, which saved me a good amount of time and money, and he also provided complimentary service by replacing and repairing grips on one of my other balls. Bowlers Experience Too provides good value with prices which can't be beat, along with providing great customer service and knowing how to look after their customers. Just spoke with Scott. Was looking for something specific. Genesis thumb tape quick release (red) to be exact. They didn't have any in stock, but he quickly and happily ordered it and said he'll have it soon. We spoke a bit about thumb tape, and my experience with another brand and how the staying power was not the same as I have experience with the Genesis. Scott is the best. He's the only PSO in the East Bay (that I know of) that has JoPo thumb grips. He set up two of my balls with it and pointed out that I needed my second ball's thumb hole replugged if I wanted it to match my first one (that fit better). I think Scott appreciates when customers are know what they need but definitely didn't mind filling me in on gaps in my knowledge. I'll be coming to Scott moving forward. PS: I think he mentioned that if you get a ball from him you always get drilling included, and maybe fingertip grips as well? Boy, do we LOVE this place. The owner/operator has a great dry sense of humor and is all business when it comes to customer service. He got my new bowling ball ready in about ten minutes (they also have a great inventory of, well, everything) and delivered it to me on lane #19 while I was getting ready to start playing. He fitted my wife with a great wrist brace and resin bag and explained how best to use both. We traveled from Tracy California to go to this pro shop because, well, they were open! Other bowling pro shops are either unmanned, or they just aren't there when they say they will be. This guy knows what customer service is. This is a great place to do business and worth three hours of driving to get to it (it only took us 40 minutes, but hey, you get the idea). read more

I heard about Scott before I even met Scott. That's how awesome this guy is! I'm lucky that I moved right down the street from EA because it's my new home base, and Bowlers Experience Too is one of the best pro shops I've ever visited. This was the shop that fixed the inserts on my first ball that I had drilled elsewhere. I loved the service so much that I just got my second ball drilled there today. I had a great conversation with Scott while he worked on my ball, and I was rolling it down the lane in less than 30 minutes. It's rare that you'll get your ball out that fast AND be given such great customer service at the same time. This place is truly a gem! Scott has drilled multiple balls as well as changed the grips in previously drilled balls for my husband, son and myself and we are always happy with his work. He's very patient with me when I come in and ask loads of questions and ask for all kinds of recommendations. Ordering a ball through him is also super easy and I can have it in hand and drilled within a few days. He's got a good sized shop that you can actually see a good selection of balls which is very helpful for me. I originally went to a different pro shop as it was closer to where I live even though someone had advised me not to. Long story short it was a mistake. Multiple issues of dealing with the pro shop owner. I recently just went to Bowlers Experience and what a difference! I could tell that he was really busy but he was still super helpful. My ratings are based off customer service and I didn't feel welcomed in this Pro Shop. Taller gentleman helped me (idk his name - didn't introduce himself) and I had my own ball I brought in, told him what look I wanted and simply said 'well this isnt going to do that'. He then took the ball, drilled it and charged me. Didn't ask for my specs, didn't know how I bowled, just took it and put holes in it. I'm most disappointed that I felt like he didn't give me a chance to talk bowling. Just wanted to drill it and get me out. Haven't gone back and most likely won't. It's a shame because not only was I recommend to go there from a PBA Pro but it seems like everyone else has had a pleasant experience with who I'm assuming I worked with. read more

Walked in over the weekend comparing prices on new bowling balls from shops around the area. Came to Earl Anthony's to bowl and stopped in. I decided to pick up the Storm Code Black. Scott is fantastic!! I bowl on a league at dublin bowl. A couple weeks ago while I was bowling my shoe completely fell apart ... the entire sole broke apart from the shoe!! Scott was walking by and saw the mishap...he quickly pulled out his phone and searched for the same type and size shoe. He found one similar (just a different color) and ordered them on the spot!! When I came in the next week to bowl they were ready for me to pick up! Now that is what I call service! He went above and beyond! Awesome place to go for beginners and long time bowlers!

I was referred to Scott here during a coaching session this July. I believe in giving specific examples, so here it goes ... I needed a new pair of bowling shoes as I started bowling left handed and I owned right handed only shoes. We didn't know if universal shoes would work, so I took a chance and got them. I tried the universal shoes on a couple throws and they just didn't work for me. Scott said, 'no problem, I will get the left hander shoes tomorrow, just bring yours in then to exchange.' And that's how it worked out, no problem. Another time I asked Scott to hold a Rocket Ship for me to buy. I came in next day, and he kept it for me, but I decided not to buy and instead have the thumbhole reworked on my old ball. Scott didn't complain in any way. Scott has re-slugged and shaped the thumbhole on several bowling balls and it's always an easy price of only $15. This shop has a nice display of new bowling balls from entry level to high end. I took him up on a Roto Grip Wreck-It and got a great out the door price, drilled and set up with grips and insert. I also got some great help from a substitute driller, Sean, on a Saturday and another guy who gave me some great personal advice on how to check for a safe, comfortable grip span. Sean was able to use a larger slug and reduce span on my bowling ball without having to plug and redrill (which takes couple days). He nailed the thumb fit spot on and we've patterned that for my other bowling balls. I've driven out of my way to come to this shop for service, and it has been worth it. read more

My wife and I buy our bowling balls from here and are impressed with the customer service. John has our measurements and we returned later to pick up our new balls. We of course took them out for a spin on the lanes and they worked great as usual. We always have a great experience at this pro shop. The prices are comparable to the internet.
