Hands down the best place in Somerville (and arguably Boston). Once a deserted parking garage, Bow market is such a cool concept of open dining and shopping. You can get everything here from fresh produce, fish, coffee, beer, dessert, to all other shopping needs. Every shop owner and worker are incredibly friendly and you can tell how much they love their business and the community. I especially love Make and Mend, a secondhand craft store. Bow market puts on many different community events such as open shop and sip nights where they extend their alcohol license to the whole outdoor area and multiple outdoor fairs. Bow market is definitely a must visit in the area. read more

I found this spot through a Resy email and it was so funny because I was an hour away from Boston! I decided to check this place out for good food and realized it was a whole plaza with restaurants and shops and due to COVID they were reserving seats in the middle of the plaza and working with the restaurants where we can order online and they deliver to each table (not sure if they had this prior to COVID). This was a genius idea especially for summer to sit and have drinks with friends and try multiple food. I got to have oysters to empanadas, cocktails, pizza and a chocolate gelato while sitting in one table but from different restaurants. Such a nice atmosphere, clean location and friendly staff. read more

Great indoor/outdoor market with all local goods! We checked out Bow Market on a Saturday afternoon. Since it's opening, it had been on our list of things to do. We easily found a parking spot on Bow Street only about half a block away. The Market could be bit hard to see from the sidewalk if you didn't know it was there. The Market features a patio in the center surrounded by two levels of shops. The patio is a great spot to take a seat (with your dog!) and enjoy some food or drink from one of the local vendors. I headed inside Remnant Brewery to see their offerings. They collaborate with Barrington Coffee to serve up some espresso and coffee beverages alongside a few craft beers. Remnant also has a separate patio if you'd like to sip your brew outdoors. I bought an iced coffee for the warm day. There was also a pastry pop-up inside called Keegan Kreations. I had to grab one of the delicious looking matcha dark chocolate croissants and it did not disappoint! The ladies serving up the crispy, buttery layers of goodness were very nice and I made sure to tell them how good the croissant was before we left. We took a small table outside on the patio with our dog and enjoyed the cool breeze. I also took a look inside some of the shops. Vintage finds, handmade leather shoes, used art supplies, succulents and plants, pierogis, macarons, and apparel are just a few of the shops. They still have a couple shops available or soon-to-come storefronts. Overall, great market with all local goods! read more

Overpriced pretentious food for Somerville fellows on their 20's. I Dont know... it just lacks the authenticity. The there are lots of little restaurants... but something is just off. Seems like a good hangout place. But thats it. read more

Independently owned small business are great...I enjoy supporting them. The atmosphere can be loud and hectic. It attracts people with LOTS of strollers. The vibe feels oddly corporate too. The Remnant beer is definitely the highlight. Here's the problem - the entire main area smells like thick french fry grease and salt. In fact, our clothes smelled like french fries after hanging out there. read more

Super outdoor food market with a nice variety of options. We enjoyed some oysters, salmon BLT sliders, tuna ceviche, bibimbap, a pastrami melt, and some craft beers -- everything was well-priced and delicious. read more

Really cool setting for listening to some music, enjoying food and sitting by a fire pit. Several choices for take out food for our group. The wine bar offered suggestions from their selection and we finished the evening with lava cake from Chocolat. read more

This place is perfect for the spring weather. They have seating around the fire pit which keeps you warm and cozy. They have some nice drinks menu too. I had their hot chocolate margarita. It was quite delicious. I also ordered some Poutine with it. All in all it was cozy and delightful evening for me at Bow Market. read more

Make sure you check out bow market. Tons of cool little local shops and great food. There's a brewery, a wine bar, a record shop, a delicious fry shop, and plenty of other great places. A must go if you're in union square. read more

We had a fantastic time here! This "market" is really a bunch of places for drinks (Rebel is now here!) and funky food, as well as a number of pretty cool shops (got some secondhand art supplies, which is such a cool concept!!). A fantastic, modestly sized but packed space for a good time. read more

Love this hidden gem in Somerville! It's filled with fun shops, great eats, and a wine bar and brewery. It has something for everyone. And doggos are welcome! You can buy food from any of the numerous pop ups and take it inside the brewery as well. Great to sit out and enjoy the nice weather read more

We just moved from Boston to Somerville last weekend, and really weren't feeling like going out for dinner that night so we decided to do something easy and finally try a few of the menu options from Bow Market that many Yelpers rave about... We got the Pepperoni Pizza and the Buffalo Chicken Pizza from Hot Box for $13.50 and $14.50 respectively, along with a couple of Beef empanadas and a Buffalo Cauliflower with Blue Cheese empanada to share from Buenas for about $4.50 each. Everything we had was amazing for sure, and we never even tasted the Buffalo Cauliflower because we were way too full after only eating half of each pizza and a single Beef Empanada per person, but I must say that I sincerely think the Buffalo Chicken Pizza was my absolute favorite with regard to taste and good value for the price. You get some hearty pies that two average to small eaters would be satisfied to split, and if still needing a bit more to fill in around the edges, then any of the Empanadas is a great solution, but not as cost effective. We look forward to heating up the leftovers for lunch tomorrow and yes, tasting the Buffalo Cauliflower at last. The Beef Empanada is incredibly flavorful but is little small for it's price. We definitely plan to keep trying new foods at Bow including the fries from Saus, roast beef sandwiches and different pizzas from Hot Box and seasonal specials. read more

We reserved a fireplace table in the courtyard and had a great family visit. Everyone is able to eat what they prefer, and also great for sharing. Cute shops. Great relaxing atmosphere. read more

Great to see Bow market open again for at least the food places and things get back to normal. They did a great job with social distancing today and it was well worth the trip now that Union Square farmers market is open for the season. With all the malls closed this is a great area to check out and all the nearby Korean and Napoli ethnic grocery stores are all in walking distance. read more

Disappointing - we want to support local stores, especially given the disruption in Union Square but how when you stand at the window at Hotbox for five minutes (with ten people in line behind you) and the staff working there doesn't even acknowledge you're waiting let alone take your order? We left - why bother? They don't make money and we don't eat. Nothing else we saw there makes us want to return. read more

Total gem. Reimagine a "mall", add hipsters and local binness, and you've got bow market. Fantastic spot, come see for yourself.

Fun shops, food and oh yeah remnant brewing. Can get good coffee drinks or beers or both.

I've been looking forward to visiting Bow Market for a while, but hadn't made it over until today. My partner and I ordered some beer for pickup from Remnant, went over to Bow, and were directed at the entrance to go "to the back, behind the white tents." So we did, until the path was mostly blocked by signs and boxes, where we assumed we had gone the wrong way. We went back through to the main area, where we tried to find our way to the Remnant counter. Then another vendor told us we were in the wrong spot, but wouldn't tell us where we should be. I understand why they need a system for distancing right now, but I would've appreciated directions or something, rather than hearing that vendor talking about us not knowing where to go with the next customer. Eventually, we went back through the way we went originally, found Remnant, and got our beer - but some of what we ordered wasn't actually available, and instead of offering a refund, only offered a choice of other beers (none similar). I'm very disappointed, I was excited to finally make it over, but based on this experience, I don't think we'll be back. read more

Did a walk in last night. Socially distanced and lovely. Good food too. Eric was so helpful

Love, love, love Bow Market. A large outdoor courtyard space seating are space with where dogs, kids and strollers are most welcome. The market has two levels The first floor has many yummy upscale independent food vendors. Remnant brewery a microbrewery offers a selection of beers IPAs, pales and dark ales. There is seating inside the brewery as well as a beer garden for Remnant. I tried the Bow Street Session, light and crisp. Great beer for a hot day at the market. I was lucky to experience some live music while I was there. I went on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. I then had to experience some off their yummy food options from the pop-up vendors. I hit up Jaju pierogi. I only got one pierogi because I wanted to sample from the other vendors. At Jaju I got the Kiebasa & Red Pepper. Oh, how I wish I would have ordered 10 of these babies. I'm officially addicted! The pierogi sautéed on light butter and was pillowy soft. Stuffed inside the kielbasa was a deliciousness of finely chopped kielbasa and sweet red pepper. I also had savory ham a cheese empanada from Burma's. Fabulous eats the dough is baked and not greasy but crisp as it should. Of course the there was dessert which was at Maca. This woman rocks her macaroons. So many flavors to choose from. I went with chocolate, black sesame and everything bagel! everything bagel was a delicious mix of sweet and salty. Oh so good! Of course the was a little shopping too. I picked up a fantastic brass necklace on the second level where at a shops called We Thieves which carries vintage fashion items and many artisanal finds. Bow market offers many fun events like evening movies and more. Comedy Studio coming soon! Bow market has so much to offer to all. Some of the pop-ups are not open yet, but will be in the near future. Go you will have a lot of fun! read more

This place is awesome. I love it. And you will too. A mix of shops, food, beer and wine. Everything you need and want in a great spot. Perfect date night location. Fun to pass time. The only thing I wish is that you could bring your drink into the common area. read more

We wandered in hoping for food and booze. The vendors at Bow Market did not disappoint! The service was friendly and inviting, the seating plentiful enough and the food delicious. We spent the entire afternoon here, sampling from different spots and will definitely be back. This is a great new addition to an already hip area. read more

Cute concept and pretty decent food. For someone who lives close by, it's great, but I wouldn't travel for that. Food is good, but it's not the food market experience we were looking for. Saus has great fries, bibimbap was good too. Macao had hard macarons! I was let down. read more

Interesting market with a lot of potential. It is setup as an outdoor courtyard with two floors, with food on the first floor and shops above. The shops are all local vendors selling an array of things from shoes/clothes, plants, pottery, stationery, etc. The shops are great if you need to buy a last minute gift. Downstairs there are a couple of food vendors open from a brewery to places selling empanadas, macaroons, etc. There are still a lot of storefronts that have not opened so I'm looking forward to returning at a later date. read more
