Yelp Review 2026 #200: Boston is not lacking in good restaurants but what better way to showcase that than to have a bunch of eateries in one food hall!? I appreciate food halls because if you're with people, they can choose wherever and whatever they want to eat. Or if you can't decide what you want to eat, you can just walk around until something catches your attention. High Street Place Food Hall doesn't seem like a big place for a food hall. But it has over 15 food vendors and bars. Some open for breakfast as early as 7am. Some don't open until 11am for lunch. Some stay open until 8pm, 9pm or 10pm. I've been here multiple times while in Boston since my hotel is less than a 10-minute walk away. I've had breakfast here and a late dinner. I've tried multiple vendors like Mother Juice, Noble Castella, and Dive Bar. There are plenty of tables and seats and the space is always clean the times I went. There are seats out on the patio. The restrooms are clean too. There was a DJ when I went at night after a World Cup game. The place was decorated for the World Cup. I loved that. read more

This is a TOURIST TRAP and we fell right into it. The chicken sandwich place-Soggy and tough. Fries not seasoned and bland. Pizza place- the most boring $7 piece of pizza we've ever had. It was ok but just mid. The taco place- absolutely insane. We ordered a bowl and the rice at the bottom was SO HOT it completely melted the bowl and it collapsed as my daughter tried to eat it. She was horrified that she just injected that many microplastics from a literally melted bowl. Yes, they refunded us for the bowl but it overall an awful dining experience. What a waste of money and I hate how they market this hall like it's AMAZING. We were cheated. read more

This food hall is a great addition to Boston. We went here for the FIFA watch party. It was SO crowded and eventually they stopped letting people in. A testament to its popularity. They have a wide variety of food options and an open seating area with long tables. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the food. I did get a can of Coke for $2, which I felt was very reasonable for a more touristy spot. read more

This was a very cute food hall that I really enjoyed stopping by. We popped in on a Saturday night with a large group of 12, and were able to (though it took some time) find a table for all of us. The place could use more seating for large groups, but if you have 2-4, there are plenty of tables scattered about. It feels like an indoor city and it's very cool. Some of the options were closed, but I noted sushi, several sandwich options, burgers, Thai noodles, a cafe, salads, and pizza during my time there. I got a burger and fries as well as a dirty coke from two different establishments, and found them all quality for the price. If I lived locally in the area, I would return! read more

They locked my little sister out and wouldn't let her get in. They said they were at capacity and yelled at her and she's only a child. When I tried to get out all the exits were locked and the lady was incredibly rude so we had to all leave and squeeze our way to the only open entrance, which is a huge fire hazard. I had a craft cocktail from one of the restaurants and it was soooo bad. It wasn't even busy and the bartender didn't make a good drink at all. It almost seemed like he just didn't care. Ther service was not good and the drink was just terrible for 16$. It didn't even fill to the rim and had chunks of ice. It's the restaurant with the "craft cocktails" menu. Highly recommend not going to that one. Parking is street parking. I would go back for the other places but not this specific one. I loved the flavors and the portion was generous. 10/10 North East of the border: probably 1-2 stars for this place. Very expensive for a taco and it had like cubed meat in mine? Looked very unappealing and had a squeeze of sauce that stayed in its tube shape. Meat and general taco tasted overcooked and bland. Perhaps your 97 year old grandpa who is allergic to flavor might enjoy it. Not a good tortilla either and they were beyond slow. They forgot to make it and were like "oh are you still waiting?" After being on their cellphones for 15 minutes. Not a good time. But don't let this place ruin the whole vibes for you! Noble Castella: very very cute. The bear cup is adorable. The little cheesecake bites? I'd toss an infant in front of the red line to have more but thankfully, they will also just sell them to me for money whenever I come by so everyone is safe. They're beyond yummy. I didn't care for the boba but it is clearly homemade and fresh. Just not the consistency I like and kind of fell asleep but my drink was very good. Lots of different cuisines offered - Korean, Japanese, Indian, Mediterranean, Italian, deli foods, seafood, salads, sandwiches, pizza, burgers, may be slightly pricier than other counter service places but they have it all under one roof. Plentiful seating, clean & airy space. We like the fried chicken sandwiches here, the spicy Korean fried chicken ("KFC ") with a side of sweet potato fries are my go-to. read more

I am a minor, and I was trying to meet up with my sister, who was inside the building. She reserved a seat for me; however, when I tried to enter, a rude lady told me I had to enter through the front of the building. When I tried to enter through the front entrance, a security guard yelled at me to back up because the building was at capacity. I tried explaining that my family was inside but they would not even acknowledge me. My family informed them that I was coming, as they had already saved a seat for me. He explained that they needed to wait for people to leave, but when people left no one was admitted in. The guard did speak to other adults who he let into the building and were not in line. The rude lady came back and I again tried to explain my situation however she spoke down to me and told me to wait in a long line to enter the building. She left me, a child, in a very vulnerable and dangerous situation as I was on the street alone with drunk adults. Then she proceeded to not allow my family to leave the building to be with me and told my sister with, you can leave if you care. What a careless response that lacks empathy. Please go to a restaurant that values the safety of their costumers and staff. The lady then locked all the doors except for one small exit, conjuring a major fire hazard as hundreds of people were in the building. Save your time and energy on restaurants with safety protocols up to code and reasonable staff. I am very disappointed and quite honestly concerned for how this place is ran. read more

One of my favorite food halls I've ever been to!!!! Gets packed around lunch, because of its location in the Financial District, but can be quieter at dinner times and on the weekend. Several restaurants inside, offering a wide variety of cuisines; from cheeseburgers and shakes, to tacos, to pizza, to sushi. Some places are not so tasty, other places are delicious. Everything is a little on the pricey side, but I don't think you come here for the best quality or value, you come here for the experience. 3 bars in the middle, including a cocktail bar (our favorite), a wine bar, and a beer bar. The bars are convenient because you can bring drinks from one to the other, or bring food you have ordered to any of the counter tops as well. Plenty of seating everywhere throughout! During sports games, they project them on huge TVs all around the hall (giant one when you first walk in), other nights they have someone playing piano, and other nights they have trivia. They also have a small outside patio, with heat lamps for colder weather. We just love the vibe inside so much that we never remember to venture outside! read more

I started working a few blocks away, and especially as it got too cold for food trucks, HSP became a favorite in no time. No longer was HSP buried under an avalanche of saved, food-related Instagram posts. HSP checks all the boxes for a terrific food hall at any time of day. - It is clean. Especially considering the number of people passing through, HSP is kept remarkably tidy. Maintenance keeps the floors swept, and tables wiped. The restrooms are well maintained, too - especially lovely, considering they are effectively public. - It is modern. Not just architecture and the Jumbotron-sized screen, but with many vendors, you can order online and then grab and go. - The food is of high quality. I am not bashing Quincy Market; however, many of their options don't hold a candle to the terrific grub here. Think of Quincy Market as being more (on average) fast food quality, whereas HSP is an elevated (better than Chipotle and Panera) fast casual. - It has a terrific variety of tasty food. Mexican, Japanese, Pizza, Coffee, Gelato, Mediterranean, Seafood, and a few bars, to name a few! - The variety extends to their operating hours (and environments) too. A place to grab a bite for breakfast or lunch becomes an awesome evening hangout! It is open every day except for Sunday. You can grab breakfast as early as 7:00, then they're open until 9:00 pm Monday - Wednesday and till 11 pm Thursday-Saturday. Let me tell you, I was here on a Thursday evening, and it was bumping! - The value is excellent. Especially considering the location, most vendors do not charge an arm and a leg. While some are a better value than others, you aren't paying an arm and a leg to breathe the air. The main thing I find myself wishing for would be more seating. That said, there is ample seating all around, in little nooks, crannies, and along hallways, just not as vast as Time Out Market. I also realize (and appreciate) that because of the lunchtime crowd, people waiting, people mingling in the evening, and just a matter of square footage, the layout works. I'm not going to rail at them because "Mark wants to sit!" I am glad a coworker mentioned this place is around the corner. My wallet is another story because of how often I visit! Just ok. Went on a Saturday evening around 630pm. Stayed long enough to eat an overpriced & overly (butter) oiled lobstah roll for $36 at the Dive Bar. The box was barely larger than a mini cinnamon roll. The nearby parking lot was deserted at 160 High St and still cost $11 for a little over 1-hr (the all day weekend price). Service was okay. I ordered and took food to a different location. Sitting at their bar was like staring at the worker with all of the TVs in the center lobby behind me. Definitely not worth $77, which included an order of chowdah, 3 pan seared shrimp and a can of Sprite. This may be better suited during the week for lunch or a evening for beer if you are already in town to meet friends. At 630pm on a Saturday, at least 4 vendors were closed. Wasn't worth the 30 minute drive in. Lastly, if you want dessert other than Gelato, this is not the place to find it. read more

*Taco joint in High Street Place* My overall experience is really disappointing. For how nice the atmosphere and vibe of HSP is, this particular restaurant inside was horrible. Each taco is $6, and the portion size isn't bad for the price. However despite the meat being juicy it wasn't properly at drained at all of its juices and thus spilled all over me, my table and the to-go container it came in (and kept going). Meanwhile, who knows how long the beans and rice had been sitting today? The rice was mushy and also hard, like they scraped the bottom of the pan after hours of sitting there and served it to me- it was disgusting. This all could be somewhat overlooked except that the service was bad as well. I waited at the register for minutes before the employees turned around to acknowledge and take my order. In total I paid $18 for crap, half of which I threw away. It seemed a crime to make me pay any money for this food. Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this restaurant. High Street Place Food Hall is simply amazing! It is easily the best food hall in all of Boston and it is definitely the fanciest and most upscale. I would expect nothing else since it's located in the Financial District surrounded by big corporate officies. Of note, if you come after 7pm, there is free street parking right outside. I went here on grand opening day (March 2nd) with some friends and they were very crowded and busy. There are 19 food and beverage establishments here that provide different kinds of food and the majority of them serve alcohol of some kind. My friends and I started the night getting some cocktails from Daiquiris and Daisies. We ordered the Pineapple Daiquiri, Diamondback Colado, and the 1794. The drinks were good, but I was expecting something similar to a Pina Colada from the Pineapple Daiquiri or Diamondback Colado given the name and instead got a cocktail drink. The bartender was friendly and accidently made the wrong drink, but he let us keep both drinks which was nice. I would recommend ordering a drink and staying there or else they will serve your drink in a plastic cup versus a normal glass. For food, we tried chicken sandwiches from Harley Jane's including the Seoul Food and Smashville. I would recommend both these sandwiches. These were about $12 each. Next, we got the famous burgers from Wheelhouse including the Boom Goes the Dynamite and Cali. All the sandwiches here come with two patties, but you can order an extra patty for about $2 which we did. The sandwiches were good and juicy, but be warned that they're super oily. The surprise feature here is that there's a champagne vending machine! To use it, you go to the bar next to it, show your ID and pay $20. Then you'll get a special token that can activate the machine. The champagne is okay, but this is mostly for the gram. Of note, if you do use it, I would sit your champagne down for a few minutes or else it'll explode when you open it since the machine is not gentle. Not everything is open yet, so I would recommend checking out this place in a few weeks. There's enough interesting restaurants here that I will definitely come back and eat here again. read more

Came here on a Thursday evening for dinner and the place was packed with what looked like a lot of young professionals after work. It's definitely a very lively spot so be prepared for a ton of people, probably from their 20s - 30s, and a lot of drinks! We actually came just for food and no alcohol ( the guy at the front looked a little surprised but let us in nonetheless ) and found seats without too much of an issue. The space itself is really nice - super clean, modern, and overall a really nice ambiance for a more up-scale food court. It was hard to decide what to eat honestly, but I loved how you could order online and just pick up when it was ready - I liked that touch as it avoided having to walk around constantly to remember what was on the menu and pick that way. There were also outlets at some of the booths which made it convenient to charge phones and maybe even work in the area for some folks. We settled on the Dive Bar and I tried a salad and a tuna melt. The food was all right - nothing mind-blowing, but the portion size of the salad was pretty good while the sandwich was well made. I only ate half of the latter and saved the rest for the next day; it held up quite nicely and didn't get too soggy. I think if I came back, I'd definitely try the fried chicken sandwich as well as the gelato place. The pizza and the sushi were also popular choices too - the diversity of the cuisines were nice to see. High Street Place has a great variety of options, but things can get pricy here fast, especially if you add alcohol. Fun vibes, ample seating, clean spaces and good food make this a great place to splurge once in a while. Some recommendations and notes: Fuji: The Rainbowl is a great value. The fish is fresh, they don't skimp, and you'll get loads of delicious veggies, plenty of rice, and a fried egg to top it all off. Charming Gardener: The Roasted Lemon Salmon has deliciously crispy skin, and the green goddess dressing is to die for. Humoveh: Chicken Shish Taouk has a great garlicky flavor and the labneh is a dense, tangy yogurt dream (I believe this is Anoushella labneh for anyone familiar with that restaurant - DROOL). Be aware that there are no substitutions and no exceptions. I was a little annoyed because I have a nut allergy and asked for labneh instead of walnut harissa and the server said it wasn't possible, added that I could just "pick it out of the dish" if I didn't want it, and then charged me for the additional side. Divebar: The hot lobster roll is delicious but this is one thing I will not be indulging in again for a while. The check came in at over $40 after tax and tip for just the one item. read more

Sitting is more sit at the counter...across from the shop. Suffice to say, maybe not the best place for those needing special accommodations? No free water in this place-or at least no nearby water fountains if I recall. So bring your water bottle or prepare to buy water. I got a pasta dish in a paper bowl. Relatively quick, very hot. And very flavorful. Everything is practically self-service in that there are no servers. And it was LOUD. If you want variety and good food that you do not mind sitting awkwardly or even standing for, this is the place to go. There were a bunch of children about for some reason- cannot remember why. Will I go there again? sure. By myself to try out the flavors and perhaps with one or two close friends. So for flavor and variety, this place is a great choice. We went on a weekend afternoon and there was a live DJ which was really cool. Parking was available right in the building, affordable for $11 for the time we were there. Fish and chips was pretty good, large portion, nice quality fish - the sides were a mixture of onion rings, French fries, waffle fries, tater tots. This spot is awesome! Exceeded my expectations. It is clean, bright, and modern. There's a multitude of options for food and drink. They have lots of activities and programming here which brings the community in. When I went on a Saturday, there was a board game event going on as well as children's craft time. I particularly liked hanging out at the Alewives bar below the giant screen - nice spot for watching games. They had a cool beer/cider/seltzer selection. Fun and great new spot in downtown Boston. Perfect for lunch and post work hang out for those who work in the downtown crossing and financial district area! The place is not really big compared to Time Out but it has variety of vendors and cuisines to satisfy every palate and cravings. Most of these vendors have actual restaurants in the city so it makes High Street Place a one stop shop to try everything at once! Wheelhouse burger is a great place for delicious juicy burgers. Fuji is a great spot if your want sushi. I tried Northeast of the Border which serves tacos. You get to choose different meat options for your tacos and they top it with fresh sauces and salsa! It is the perfect food to start off your food journey. I also tried Tenderoni's which serves square cut pizzas. This reminds me of some of the pizzas you can get in NYC. Don't forget to try gorgeous gelato to finish off your meal! The star of the high street place has got to be the champagne vending machine! You have to stop by the bar to pay for the drink first and the bartender will give you a token for the champagne. It costs around $25 for 1 small bottle. Don't expect mind blowingly delicious food when you come to High Street Place. It's definitely one of those places you go for pictures and a good vibe. There is a large selection of food accompanied by a nice bar scene. The place is decorated beautifully and kept really clean. I was also unexpectedly pleased by how comfortable the seating was. We ate at Wheelhouse, Fuji, Tenderoni's, and Gorgeous Gelato, and the total came out to be about $60 for 2 people. - The Wheelhouse burger was yummy but there was nothing super special about it. $10 for a normal double patty burger on a potato bun is a bit pricey IMO. - Fuji was a bit disappointing. It looks great, but not really worth the price you're paying. The sashimi was just okay, not the freshest I've had, and the bed of arugula overpowered everything on the plate. (If you want a good bowl, go to Tora in Chinatown. They have amazing bowls for about the same price and it's packed with sashimi.) - Tenderoni's was yummy. Every inch of its surface is covered in their delicious pepperoni and the dough is delicious, soft, and crunchy (the outside is crusted with cheese). - Generous Gelato was a great way to finish the meal. Flavors are great and very refreshing. Can't really go wrong with gelato. Overall consensus/tldr: definitely worth a visit. It's a gorgeous building and is fun to walk through. Very confused about people's reviews because this is a very overpriced food court. The pro about it is that it has a lot of options and the vendors are all familiar. However, I wouldn't say any of the food is outstanding or worth the price. I didn't take a picture of everything we got, but I got food from 3 vendors. Fuji - salmon bowl. Fish didn't taste too fresh, it was just average. Chicken sandwich from a place that was supposedly famous for southern style fried chicken sandwiches. Lobster roll. very small, super expensive. I tried Tenderoni's, which is probably some of the best pizza in Boston (kind of cheating since it's that crowd-pleasing Detroit-style with really crispy cheesy crust), and a great Chickie Parm Grindah ($15) as well. Finally had a chance to check out this food hall right in the middle of the Financial District and we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, music and the DJ, where there are rotations each Thursday, Friday and Saturday, who although livened up the place we thought the DJ could have brought down his decibel level down a bit to let everyone enjoy their meal and drink and conversation with one another. I will say that the DJ got some people to dance! As with any food hall, don't expect to have your mind blown by the selection of food, though there are some reputable restaurants such as Fuji and Wheelhouse who have made a name for themselves. There's wide variety of vendors and a nice bar scene with beer and wine and champagne. Some may notice a champagne vending machine with Moet! We sampled a few vendors and it can be a hit and miss. The hits were Fuji which had surprisingly a fresh and tasty sushi bowl with shrimp, scallop and uni and seared salmon belly and tuna belly and Bubble Bath, which gave average priced 2 oz. flights of either sparkling, red or white that was enjoyable (the two best were the Prosecco and Cava). The misses were Kutzu where we ordered the bibimbap, pho-men and banh mi but they didn't give us anything to rave about as some of the dishes were bland, and North East of the Border where their Tour of Mexico tacos (four each with beef, chicken, pork and fish) didn't look too appealing and neither was each of their flavors (I really wanted to like this place). High Street place is a cute newer area for food and drinks. We went on a Thursday afternoon around 3. We ended up getting pizza from Tenderoni which was delicious. My friend got a chicken sandwich and drink from Haley Jane's which she said was great! Another friend went to a vendor I can't remember, but they have a lamb sandwich and he said it was absolutely delicious. Then we finished off our time at High Street w/ a few drinks from the Daisy Daquiri place. The standout drink was this drink that was olive oil based. So interesting and tasty. Of course you gotta get a bottle of champagne from the machine. All you gotta do is go to the bar next to it, you pay, they give you a coin, and you're all set. Overall, I'm thinking this place is very time-dependent meaning... your experience may be tainted if you're there when it's packed. 3oclock in a Thursday when everyone is still at work was the perfect time. But as it got closer to 5, I could slowly see the bigger crowds coming in and I can see why it may not be as enjoyable. I've been to High Street Place a bunch of times and always like it here. I came in today with family friends from my hometown, and it's always great because there are so many options. Highlights: -Live music on weekday evenings and weekend in general -Wine bar and champagne vending machine (I have not used the latter but still think it's amusing that they have one) -Nice variety of food options! Haley Jane's Korean fried chicken sandwich, paired with an adult capri sun, is one of my favorite things. There is also a place that specializes in porcetta, a sushi bar, burger options, a taco place (which was just OK when I went), a cocktail bar that is usually pretty croweded, and many more things. The parking lot attached to High Street Place is $11 all day on the weekends, which is pretty good for the downtown area. High Street Place will always be a fun place to bring people and grab a bite, and on the whole for Boston, the prices are pretty reasonable to boot. read more
