Adam and Travis handled the installation precisely as planned, even taking extra time to do things "right"... and clean up! Communication was excellent throughout the process.     With winter coming, I'm reminded about how severely cold last year was and how our furnace died. It…read morewas on a Friday and we needed emergency service. We tried several times to contact the company that has in the past serviced our equipment. We did not get a response that day. nor any on Saturday. We tried other companies, but they were overwhelmed with responding to their customers and couldn't get to us that weekend. Thankfully, we have a wood burning stove in the family room that kept us warm during the days. However, I did very little for us during the nights. Unfortunately, we also had a very sick eleven y/o dog that needed special care. Therefore, we really couldn't stay in a local hotel. Finally, we got in touch with Gramorgan P & H, and they came that Saturday afternoon. I needed a new furnace and they had one in their warehouse that had a capacity that was somewhat greater than are old one that did not keep the temperature cool enough on really hot days, even though our outdoor unit was only several years old. Their tech people did a great job with testing and cleaning the outdoor unit this summer when we had so many days of 90-100 degree temperatures. Although they were busy with customer calls, their boss did free up a few people to come out at the end of their workday and install our new furnace. We have been very pleased with this system, which runs on a variable-speed fan that saves energy but cools the whole house sufficiently. They even installed new wiring needed for a new Wifi thermostat that I bought with an energy-efficient rebate. Now my wife can be anywhere in the house and change the thermostat's setpoint to turn the system off or back on by simply commanding vocally through Alexa. I know from our bills that we are saving energy. Before, our furnace would run continuously whenever we had really cold or hot days.

    This was the first winter with a new propane furnace and it failed in the middle of the night when…read morethe temperature dropped to negative 4 degrees. I called a handful of companies and none were able to come out. I called Best Plumbing & Cooling Contractors and they asked for my contact information and then messaged me to say that there was a $300 "Emergency Fee". Although that seemed high, I had no other option. The technician arrived within the hour. He told me that he had to leave the truck running with flashing lights. My neighbor, who was also awake with a failed propane furnace, saw the vehicle in my driveway and called to see if I was ok. My neighbor told me to tell the technician to try going outside and warming up the propane regulator. He said he just warmed his up and his heat came back on. I relayed this to the technician, but he did not take him up on his suggestion. At one point he changed the flame sensor but that didn't fix the problem. He asked me if I wanted to keep the new flame sensor in or if he should take it back out. I said it was fine to leave it in. He continued to try different things and finally after an hour or so, borrowed a lighter and repeatedly put the flame up to the propane coming towards the flame sensor and got it to light. I asked the technician multiple times to please explain what he did. My husband was out of town this whole time and I wanted to be able to explain to my husband what we should do when this happens again. He kept ignoring my question but then finally said if you get it light up a few times, after a while it will stay lit. When it was time to settle the bill, I was flabbergasted at the price. It was the $300 Emergency Service, plus another $300 Labor Emergency Rate! All together, my bill was $720.79. The description on the bill was flame sensor installed, but again, the flame sensor was not the issue. After doing some research the following morning, it seems that my neighbor was correct and that the first thing you should try is warming up the regulator on the propane tank. It would seem the issue could have been fixed in 10 minutes. I have called and left messages 5 times to discuss my bill with no call backs. I am so confused as to why there are so many 5 star reviews when they won't even return my phone calls.

No matter whether the problem is big or small, we would not call anyone else for our HVAC issues. We have recommended him several times to friends, and they have never been disappointed.

First was for a water issue from our central air…read moreunit, this time it was for the external part of our air conditioner... which of course happened to break during the hottest stretch of the year... in the middle of hosting 3 parties.... when we had guests coming to stay. Both times the Tibbitts team was extremely quick in responding and fast, yet thorough in fixing the issues. We contacted them one evening last week with a request for assistance and the next morning Tate arrived like an HVAC superhero! He and his apprentice were on time, polite, courteous, professional, efficient, and answered all questions with ease. Within 2 minutes of hearing details of our issues, Tate pretty much knew what the problem was, and within 10 minutes, he replaced the broken piece & had our air up & running again. I expected a huge fee for such fast (emergency) service, but his prices are very reasonable. If you're in the area, use Tibbitts Heating & Cooling & you won't be disappointed!
