Quality of work is top notch, the system (Carrier) does a wonderful job keeping my house warm in the winter, no matter how cold it is outside. Had a few problems with the heat pump but these guys stand behind their work and were always willing to come out and make things right. Their customer service is really what matters and makes them special!

One time a technician "topped off" the coolant in the outdoor unit because "it seemed a little low." The last time they came out to "fix" it and do an annual cleaning they charged me $500 and did next to nothing. I complained and they only lowered the price to $350, again after doing next to nothing besides cleaning the filters. I can't understand why they are unwilling to do what it takes to fix the problem but I can no longer trust them. Four years now and still not working right.

Despite the several negative Yelp reviews (I called Long because the Google reviews were mostly positive, and because they are specialists in the Heat/air system we have.) I am quite glad I was able to see past the many negative reviews (though, knock on word, my furnace didn't require a significant repair.) The person who initially took my call, also, was very polite and professional. Btw, the charge per hour on a Sunday, was $225. I am not made of money, but I thought that was quite fair (have you ever called a plumber on a Sunday?) I am likely to become a regular Long Energy customer.

Aaron rescheduled on me 2 different times. About a month after his original promise date to start, he finally arrived and got to work. he replaced my equipment and everything worked fine for a few days and then just stopped. We couldn't figure out why it wasn't working so we called Aaron. As usual he didn't answer his phone ( that started after we gave him a deposit for the work) He finally called me back a full 24 hours after my first call. He refused to come out and look at what could be wrong. Telling me that he was too busy and booked out a few months. That I was lucky he made it out in the fist place. He told me he'd call me back in a few hours and see if he could squeeze me in. 2 days went by and no phone call from Aaron Tompkins. It'a the middle of winter, he took my money put in the equipment and wouldn't come back to rectify the issues. Fortunately, a family friend referred another company who came out and fixed the issues. It took them maybe an hour and it was up and running. Aaron finally called me back 4 days later!! I told him we had another company fix it and asked where I could send the bill to be reimbursed by him. He lost his mind after that. Yelling and swearing at me. Threatening to put a lean on my home and to pursue legal action against me for harassment because I called him 3 times in 2 days trying to get answers. When I told him that we had no heat for 4 days and he was nowhere to be found. He said, "show me in the contract where it says the equipment needs to be running" In legal terms it says is that he would provide and install equipment that would be specifically sized for me home. He was proud of the fact that he had a loophole in his contract and tried playing games to dance around it. Very dishonest person. Stay FAR AWAY from him.

After bleeding the system and filtering a cleaning solution throughout, we found the boiler itself would not fire at all. He spent an hour or so running diagnostics but determined the system itself was beyond saving. This is a duplex, so this involved two (2) 40 year old boilers. He stopped everything he was doing and cleared his schedule to replace the systems for me so that me and my neighbor upstairs would have heat this winter. He completed the work in a timely manner, coordinating the delivery of all materials, and removal of all scrap. He was accommodating, and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. As a bonus, his work is bar-none, the finest mechanical installation I have seen in a residential setting. You certainly get more than you pay for. I will exclusively be calling TDS Mechanical & Plumbing for any service I need going forward.
