We love this restaurant and we go a couple times a month. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and the restaurant is always clean. I have tried many different items from the menu, gyro tacos, wings, queso poutine fries, hamburger, Mac and cheese and everything is always delicious and the beer is always cold. read more

One of my favorite local eateries for lunch. There's usually a weekly special for burgers, lots of craft beer options, and of course BOURBON. Staff is very friendly here, we usually dine up at the bar but always get greeted right when we walk in. The menu is simple but crafty, definitely not an average burger on the menu and no American or cheddar cheese - only fancy cheeses but I do enjoy the variety. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. My new favorite right now is the guacamole hotdog! read more

I don't give out 5-stars all that often, so from my standpoint, if I do - Then this place is Awesome, to be sure! I heard about this place on Facebook, and decided this was on our list to check out for our next date night. We made it out here yesterday, and I'm so glad we did. We have nothing but positive things to say about this place: From the helpful server who waited on us, to the interior decor, to the quality of the food - It was all spectacular. I'm not much of a hard liquor person, but do drink it on occasion. Not knowing much about bourbon, I had to admit my ignorance and ask for some suggestions from our server. She suggested the Angel's Envy, and it was very good! We ordered burgers for our entree. My wife opted to go with the Barnyard Burger, whereas I decided to try something totally new to my taste buds, and get the Waffle Burger. Both burgers were awesome!! Having never had a waffle burger before, I had no frame of reference on which to judge this one, but that doesn't matter - This waffle burger was straight-up killer! Both burgers came with fries, and their own version of a fancy sauce: A mixture of vinaigrette, ketchup, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. That was good right there. Didn't get dessert, because honestly, we couldn't even finish our burgers (I got half of my waffle burger waiting at home for me tonight!), but next time we come here, we will likely consider splitting a burger so we can get dessert. Overall, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. We are definitely planning a return trip. Lots of things on their menu we want to try. If I were to offer any suggestion, it's one that may already exist for all I know - I just wasn't aware of it (and didn't think of it until after we had already left) - Perhaps offer Flights. So many bourbons, I didn't really know which one to go with. A flight would be have been a great option for me. This place could really use something like that. And again, maybe they already offer that, and I just wanted aware. If so, great - I'll consider that for my next visit. read more

Burgers were great, my sister in law had the Bernie Mac and it was excellent. I had the Thai Chicken lettuce wraps, they were a terrible choice, they are served cold and the meat was very salty. Everything was delicious! Our family had two orders of the cauliflower appetizers with different sauces: Grippos and Hot Honey. So good. Each person ordered different burgers and they were all terrific. If you are a fan of Mac & Cheese, don't miss Bourbon's Kitchen's version. Sooo creamy and flavorful. The perfect comfort food. The employees were incredibly helpful and likable. If I had to strive to criticize something, it would be that fries could have been crispier. Next time, we will just ask for them to be made crisper. Food and service were great and deserving of over 5 stars. I want to give this review a 3 star because after eating, I had to use the bathroom before leaving. I let the server know that I wasn't leaving, I just needed to use the bathroom. My coat and packed up food was at the table. Had I been asked then to relocate my coat and packed up food to the bar for whatever reason I would have obliged but that didn't happen, I just didn't want my things messed with while I was using the bathroom after my meal as I was eating alone. About 4-5 minutes later i come back to get my things and find someone else already at my table, my things nowhere to be seen, and I start searching frantically for my things. Someone had moved them to the bar without my knowledge or permission. This is NOT cool. Not only is it not ok to mess with people's things, especially when they express rly asked their things to be left alone, it also feels like I'm being kicked out. This is a customer service no no. It really soured an otherwise amazing experience. Don't mess with people's things while they are in the bathroom, especially when they made sure to tell you what was going on and it was only around 5 minutes away from the table. I had been told no one would mess with my things. Either ask a person politely to relocate their stuff while they are in the bathroom or leave their things alone. Very unprofessional. The 4 stars reflects the fact that the food and service otherwise was fabulous, but I'm pretty irritated at the way we parted and considered giving a lower review to reflect that. We have been here several times. The beer selection is erratic. One time they are top heavy with IPA, which I do not like. Another time they have two different Stouts, which I love, that are outstanding. We would have gone to this quaint and unique place at least weekly if they had not dropped the single best item on the menu: the Chicago Dog. Anyone from Chicago would have recognized that their only missing elements were the authentic relish and the steamed bun. Not sure if the dogs were "Vienna", but they were good. Replaced the Dog with various Tacos, for which I have no fondness. Too bad. But, I have to say, we also stopped going after watching one sketchy looking character after another walking past the window and out among the cars. The best spot in Middletown - great food with quality ingredients. French onion soup with macaroni and cheese in it was out of this world.
