My neighbor & I tried this place for the first time. We both ordered a Cuban sandwich. I got iced tea with lavender flavoring. He got lemonade with lavender & a pico chili. Our food came out quickly. Neither of us cared for the chili. We both liked the Cuban sandwich & our drinks with the lavender flavoring. The service was friendly & I appreciated the suggestions given to us about the menu.

Friendly service, nice lunch menu. Good sandwiches. Reasonable prices. A pleasant part of the downtown resurgence.

This restaurant was waste of money and time. Where to start. The fresh cut fries were burnt. No one thought it is a bad idea to sent food out like that. The oxtails were small and we had to season everything because there was none. Lastly, they have a slice of pound cake for $10. My boyfriend has a sweet tooth so we ordered it. Smallest piece of cake I ever seen and it was dry. If you ever in Ohio and want soul food, try any other place but Agnes.

The restaurant is small and has a couple of tables in the dining area and bar seating is available as well. They have a tv over the bar, which had on news while I was there. They also have Jamaican music playing in the dinning area. The restaurant serves bowls with your choice of meat over rice, and your choice of rasta pasta or peas and cabbage. The meats that you can choose from include curry chicken, jerk chicken, ox tail, lamb, fish, and turkey. They also have chicken wings, and chicken cheese steak. To drink they tout brown sugar lemonades. I had to try one. It was good, but no special and no different than regular lemonade. I ordered the chicken cheese steak with a side of plantains. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. It was hot, fresh and delicious. It came on a Ciabatta bun and had a unique flavor. The chicken was overflowing out of the bun and i could have probably made another sandwich with the meat that feel out. The plantains were pretty good too. Sweet and juicy. This place gets packed. They had people coming in and out of there. It has a cool vibe. If you find yourself in downtown Dayton, I recommend checking this spot out. They have a small menu of some good food in a trendy atmosphere.

The menu looked amazing, so I drove us there. When we pulled up, I thought we had the wrong place. It is inside of an office building. Tip: Go to the second floor and make a left. The aroma of the food will lead your right to it. When we arrived, they had music playing and chill vibes. You can order and pay through the kiosk. After we placed our order, we went into the dining area. The food came out pretty quickly. I ordered 10 wings and coco bread. For my flavors, I selected the pineapple jerk wings and the honey jerk wings. The owner came out personally and brought my wings to me. The owner is a really solid dude. He gave us the backstory on the restaurant and told us about his homemade sauces. You can tell that he really is passionate about his business. The wings were smoked and sauced to perfection! And they are 10 for $10! Can't beat that price for the quality they are giving you. The coco bread was a nice addition, I used it to soak up the leftover jerk sauce I had in my container! My wife got the jerk salmon with fried rice and jerk yum yum sauce. Yes, you heard me right! Jerk Yum Yum Sauce!!! I had to steal a couple of bites off of her plate, and I shared one of my wings with her. She loved her meal, and the jerk yum yum sauce was phenomenal. We ordered The Hut Punch, which is sugar-free and comes with real fruit pieces. It was very refreshing and flavorful. Lastly, the customer service! We met the owner and his wife. They have managed to bring a piece of Jamaica to Ohio. When we were about to leave to head back to Columbus, I told my wife that I couldn't leave without getting some jerk yum yum sauce to go. I asked if they sold sauces to go. The owner went out of his way to go and purchase containers so that I could take some home. He didn't have to do that, but I am truly grateful that he did. I am now back in Columbus, and I have already started pouring on my fried rice and loving every bite! If you love Jamaican food, you have to try this place! Jerk Wings 1-5=5! Coco Bread 1-5=4. Salmon Fried Rice 1-5=5. Hut Punch 1-5=4. Jerk Yum Yum Sauce 1-5=5! Customer Service 1-5=5! Even though they are Bengals fans. #GoBrowns

A delicious beef jerky store that sells, well, beef jerky. They also sell some of their hot sauces,…read morebut yes, it's definitely a beef-focused little place! They have a single table inside where you could sit if you were eating in, but it's definitely designed as a "take out" place. Since it's located in a strip mall with tons of parking, it's definitely really easy to grab and go like the place intends. PROS: -Super friendly customer service. The owner happened to be there when I came in (and I have a feeling they are there often), and he was really friendly to talk to. It's clear the employees have a lot of fun, too, as they were joking around with one another while I was there. -Wide variety of beef jerky bag sizes in addition to offering little samples before you purchase the beef jerky you want to get. I recommend the sample box of four 1.5oz samples. It even comes in a little box that's great for gift-giving! -No MSG, no nitrates, no nitrites, and no added artificial preservatives. Getting some pretty straight-from-the-source beef jerky here! CONS: -One of the major cons of any small business: they were out of some flavors when I came in. Hard to keep fresh food always-in-stock when you're a small business.

Sufferin Baaaa was probably the "if you could only pick one" favorite, but Black Pepper Garlic anything and Sufferin Bastard were remarkable as well. We could taste that they use well trimmed top shelf beef. What we did not expect was how great the lamb jerky tasted. Every lamb flavor was someone's favorite. Everyone liked the BBQ beef very much but it was nobody's favorite. Heat Report: I'm a fan of heat to enhance the enjoyment of food. We (Americans) sometimes take a good thing and improve it until it's toxic. There is a culture around making food so spicy that your eyes water, mouth burns and nose runs when you try to enjoy the food that it is intended to compliment. This isn't that. The spicy flavors are indeed spicy but in a way that elevates the jerky instead of incinerating your ability to taste it. One diner headed for the milk, but he doesn't spicy & breaks a sweat when he uses too much ketchup. Me and My Pal: These Jerky treats, made for humans and their canine companions, stole the show. Comments ranged from "marketing brilliance" to hypersonic tail wags. There is an upscale dog bakery (seriously) in my neighborhood. Me and My Pal treats were ranked better than everything there by 3 out of 3 neighbors. I will order again soon (and often).
