This exhilarating zip line and ropes course is perfect for all ages! Plus, it's just an hour's ride from NYC. I had been longing to come to this park for a while now, but I was worried it would be too easy. I mostly only read reviews of kids doing it, but there's varying difficulty level of courses. There's 4 main colors: yellow for beginner, green for intermediate, blue for advanced, and black for experts. The green was a good warm up before going into the blue, and then the black course was the most challenging yet rewarding. You will have a good upper body workout as my arms were so sore after the black! D: It's advertised a lot as for kids, but it's demanding and enjoyable even for adults!

This place was amazing. From the phone call I made to see if I could get squeezed in the same day (was told to just split the group between 2 time shots...duh), to the easy check in process, to the kind and helpful staff, and the free water stations ....I don't think I could have asked for anything better. There was tons of staff around, walking the grounds and paying attention to everyone climbing. There was a few courses down, I was told because lack of staff, but there was still plenty to do. Also staff made sure to avoid too many hold ups on the selected courses. We were having so much fun we didn't even realize we ended up staying there about 30 min over our time and no one rudely kicked us off. Definitely make sure to wear comfortable, workout type clothes. You'll need to be very agile. And you will get an upper body workout especially if you hit the blue or higher. But it was so much fun and we'll definitely be back. My only recommendation is to get bigger signage when entering the campus. It was very easy to miss and that along with gps navigating to the wrong location, we ended up at a dorm.

I came here as part of a Yelp Elite Event. I came with my husband and friends and received a trial course. After our first run around the course, we had to buy the full pass and had a great time! The introduction was quick, informative, and interactive. A newbie like me was up to speed and ready to adventure after only a few minutes of instruction. I proceeded to practice these skills just minutes later and was ready to head down my 1st zipline. Wow! It was scary and I was sure I would fall but the views were totally worth it. Safety is a big first priority for all of the staff here. Everyone is really attentive and on the lookout for people who are doing unsafe behavior whether purposefully or inadvertently. When some of the younger kids were ziplining without using their hands to secure their grip, the staff called them out on it. Also, when I was stuck on an "element", the staff gave me tips after I asked them: "Just jump!" "Are you sure? Really, really sure?" "Yes!" As you can read here, I am somehow still alive and not ghostwriting this review. A big part of that is due to the dedication of the staff. PS: The only complaint I have is minor stuff, like the staff members not all communicating with each other. They did not seem to be on the same page for little things like marking my ticket or using the how much to charge me for my pass extension. Nevertheless, great fun to be had!

My 10 yr old son and I had a great time. General admissions give u 3 hrs of climbing. It's kind of weird that it's located within a college campus. Just follow the signs. The beginner level was low to the ground and a little too easy for my 10 yr old. The intermediate level up was just about right in terms of height and challenge. The advance level was a bit of a struggle for him, but should be very doable for an adult. There was one course where u hook yourself to rope and jump straight down off a platform. That was scary for even me. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the expert level. I definitely want to go back again.

BE CAREFUL! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT CHILDREN! JUST HARNESSING AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE MOST OF THEIR OUTRAGEOUS PRICES!. I went here with a friend and our 8 year old children. For myself and daughter its was $120 for 3hrs. Thats 40$ a hr to climb trees in a harness. We went thru all the safety instructions ( given to us by a teenager). We then continued to test our skills of unhooking and hooking our safety lines with no observing or proper hands on instruction by any staff. Some people even just continued on ahead. When we got to the first area to choose our course we chose the easiest level being with young kids. My daughter was a bit scared but she began to conquer it. About 30 mins in a terrified group of children began screaming for their parents down below on another course adjacent to us. They began their infamous call out as directed by the staff " HELP HELP HELP" but no one could hear them. We tried to tell the kids it would be okay but frantic as they were they kept on screaming. Myself and the other mother agreed we would begin yelling "HELP HELP HELP, WE NEED HELP HELP" and yet no one came. WE continued on the course with our own kids to try and find a area where a staff member would be in their orange shirts and saw 2 staff only at the front. Now my daughter began to panic when it came time to zip line as terror began to break out throughout the park so I went first to ensure I could get help but kids were blocking that platform already with 5 of them on it. We began to notice their was over 40 people in the air climbing without a single staff member in sight and all the landing platforms began filling with over 3 people. Soon we were on a landing with 7 people, I mean frantic screaming kids, one of my own and 4 other peoples kids. We sent my friends daughter ( thank god shes a brave girl) to finish the course alone to get help after its was 45 mins of screaming. She had to run all the way to the check in booth screaming and waving arms "we need help" before anyone noticed her. Now stuck on a landing with 3 kids not my own and my friend with my daughter and 5 girls (not her own) screaming stuck on another platform with all tied up lines. It took 37 mins to get a staff member to us after a 8 year old got us help. AND after actually getting a staff member up there it took another 29 mins for them to untether the line and lower 1 kid down 3 feet. If I had a knife on me I would of cut the line and jumped the 3 feet myself instead for this unnecessary charade. As this is all going on 7 other kids had to be assisted throughout the park and I captured images of the chaos while waiting on the course. After de harnessing I then went looking for a manger/supervisor/ pretty much anyone in charge and I was told by a staff member de harnessing me "good luck finding one". SO, I called the number on the internet, complained to the girl that you have no one here managing and what had just happened. She told me to ask for these 3 people and they were they staff on duty in charge. I then explained to her I was physically in the park and that I would be asking for these 3 managers in particular on this day. She said " yes they are suppose to be on duty right now" . Asked around to 5 staff where they harness you up that had over 17 staff getting people in harnesses and more than 20 people being harnessed in to unleash on a course that had 4 staff members on the ground, but none of the 3 managers were no where to be found. Went to the front desk not there. So i walked to the parking lot sat outside their staff restroom area and called again. " O I am so sorry I will let them know and have someone come to you to speak to you as well as having the owner call you. " 2 hrs later nothing, no managers showed , no call from Lorrie & Brian Funtleyder ( the owners), no one. So we packed up and left and drove our hr home. I have zip lined in the treetops of Brazil, forests in Mexico, courses in Germany never have I seen such a reckless bunch of teenagers running a show like this. On 98 degree day we waited over a hr and a half for help on the ropes, 2 hrs in parking lot for a manager to show or owner to call for help which is dangerous to say the least but the one thing that made it so very dangerous that clearly no one grasps working or managing this facility is: WHEN SOMEONE IS IN FEAR ( much less their a parent with their child ) YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY WILL DO. Ps. Maybe Ill hear back finally from the owners, I can not wait to show you the videos and time stamps on the photos.

After doing a ropes course in Connecticut, I was anxious to find one closer to NYC, and Boundless Adventures is perfect! It was a great total body workout, and equal parts challenging, thrilling, and fun. There are 4 different levels of courses so you can start easy and work your way up to a more difficult course. You get an introduction and to test out your harness clips before you begin, but the rest is self-guided, which I thought was cool. However, the staff are always around throughout the course to help when needed or to provide guidance. They were great. You don't have to be a kid or be with a family to do this. Definitely recommend if you're not afraid of heights, and if you're looking for something fun and different to do! read more

Our experience there was fantastic. I will write some tips here for those who like to plan ahead. I was there with two 13 years old girls who are in very good shape. 1. The area is contained/limited and there are several picnic tables in the middle below the courses, so those who don't participate can watch others on the courses. 2. There are a few drinking water tanks available, but you should bring your own since there is no guarantee for its availability. You may leave your belongings on a picnic table. At the registration booth (across the street from the courses, near the parking lot), you can buy drinks, but once you put a harness on, I am not sure if you can go back there. 3. The website says it takes 3-4 hours. One course takes about 30 minutes. You may do multiple courses. We were there for 3 hours for 5 courses of Intermediate (green) and Advanced (blue) with a quick water break in between. 4. The area is mostly shaded with trees. We went in early August and it was 90F+, and we sweat a lot, but the zip line gave us a good breeze. It feels great for the whole time. We will definitely go back. read more

I went there the last week they were open for the season and was excited to try this out. There were 4 of us in total and we paid extra to do the zip lining. It was very chilly that day so I had to drive my back to my house and get a thicker jacket for my daughter. By the time I came back, the girls were already trying out the course. I parked my car and was walking towards the entrance when I noticed my daughter and wanted to take a picture of her. As I was standing outside the fence, I pulled out my phone and not one click goes by before one of the staff members tells me that I can't take a picture. I was sure that I has misunderstood her so I asked what did she say and sure enough she said not to take a picture. I told her that my daughter was inside and wanted to catch this moment and she reiterated that I couldn't take a picture. I go to their website to check if this in fact was a policy and couldn't find anything. So my next step is to email and ask about their picture taking policy. I didn't get a response until 4 emails later from a Lorrie Funtleyder with the question "What is the purpose of this request?" I replied with issue that I just discussed here and their response was " I have checked with the manager and he doesn't know what you are talking about. People are allowed to take pictures of the people they are with. It isn't clear why you would be taking pictures from outside of the fence. It is possible that the staff were trying to protect our guests' privacy. I don't really know what else to say on the matter". Man I tell you, they really know how to address an issue. I promised them I would be writing a review based in their response, so here I am. Will I refer anyone to this place? Absolutely not. Customer Service matters and clearly these people lack any skills. UPDATE: Now you want to address me by name, apologize for your rude response, ask me to remove your name from my review and come up with different excuses for your lack of customer service. This review will remain INTACT no matter what your excuses are. read more

Wow -- this was fabulous! Went with 2 college-age kids and me (56 year old woman). We all had a great time. Choices of courses let me join in on the fun. Only one person is allowed on an element at a time, and only 3 on a platform, so we were able to be socially distant from others for the entirety of our experience. Felt 100% safe and secure -- both from the virus and the activities. Challenges were... well, challenging. Little zip lines were fun, along with the "Drop of Faith" at the end of each blue course. The staff were always available if we needed some suggestions for the best way to complete an activity. What a great was to spend a few hours. Highly recommend it. We will do this again! read more

I visited with my grandchildren. Two of them are 8 years old and one is 10 years old. They had a great day. A staff member gave instruction prior to the kids heading to the courses. The instructor was both thorough and patient answering all of the questions asked. While on the courses, there were many staff members on the ground monitoring the climbers of all levels. The courses are challenging to all age levels and there are plenty of courses at each level. The climbers can redo the courses as often as time allows. Not only is it great exercise, but the confidence this builds is evident on the faces of kids and adults alike. First, the climber decides on a particular course. Then they must decide how to navigate the course. While watching one particular obstacle, I observed 6 individuals approach it 6 different ways. The staff is friendly, patient and helpful. I highly recommend Boundless Adventures. You will have a great day! read more

We had SO much fun here with our kids! They're 8, 12 & 14 and we brought them here twice last week. It's easy to make your reservation, pay and sign your waivers online or you can go in person without a reservation. When you arrive you go to the registration office and sign in and they'll send you down to the park which is right down the path leave your car parked right there in the lot. There are also bathrooms next to the registration office. You can bring food and drinks in, there's picnic tables to leave your bags and sit and eat. You get 3 hours to do the obstacle courses after you get fitted into your safety equipment and get your gloves, safety info and demo. There is no chance of falling because there are 2 clips and one clip locks when the other is unlocked so even though I'm terrified of heights I knew I was completely safe. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful! If you get stuck up there or need help just shout "Staff, staff, staff!". There are several courses; yellow, green, blue and black. You have to complete a yellow course to do a green course and a yellow and a green to do a blue and so on. There are age and supervision requirements which are posted online so take a look first. The courses are all different and they each have different obstacles and zip lines to complete. You really get the hang of it after a few minutes up there! We did all of the yellow and green courses as a family and then my husband and 2 older kids moved onto the blues and finally the Black because my 8 year old wasn't able to do those. So we just did our favorite yellow and green ones again. While it is expensive, it is WELL worth it for 3 hours of outdoor fun! read more

I am a program coordinator for a non-profit organization. I supervise programs with young adults and teenagers mainly on the autism spectrum. I am always trying to bring them new experiences and challenges. Boundless Adventures from day one was responsive and called me back, took the time to learn about my crew and what we are hoping to get out of program. Lorrie knows how to laugh, is helpful, informative and kind. This place is absolutely amazing. If you are an outdoors and adventurous person like me, you will definitely love your time here. I believe I paid for 3 hours but if I knew how much fun it was I would've paid for the whole day. You can definitely make use of all the time there and stay occupied. The courses are longer than I expected but it made it more fun. There are bathrooms and they offer drinks and snacks in case you get hungry. I suggest coming on a day where it's 70-80 degrees. It gets extremely hot and sweaty in the weather, even though you are in the shade under trees the workout the courses give you are out of this world. Make sure to bring sunscreen and bug spray. They also have picnic benches for you to eat and leave your belongings. It's extremely safe and really fun. Kid friendly as well! I was surprised to see a lot of young children doing these hard courses. But the courses are easy once you get the hang of it. Don't wear cropped shirts, wear short sleeves and mid length shorts or leggings. That way the harness doesn't mark your skin and your clothes won't irritate you. As someone who forgets easily, the rules and how to zipline came naturally after practicing and going through an easier course. The employees are super nice and extremely helpful. read more

I went with a group of 8 people for my birthday and we all had such a great time. It's up to you on the level of difficulty you want to do we everyone in the group was able to choose something right for them. I skipped the yellow and did one green then one blue and then the black course. I didn't want to save the black for the end when I'd be the most tired. Then I went back and did the second blue course. Each course takes 30-45 minutes to complete. The obstacles were fun and challenging. The next day, you'll definitely feel it! The staff was great. We had a thorough orientation and they helped us put on the harnesses and always available if you get stuck on an obstacle. So much fun! Definitely check it out. read more

Absolutely loved it here. Just celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday there. All of her friends and the parents that joined in to climb really had fun. We can't wait to come back . . and many of the kids want to come back again too! Our party was in an early morning time - 10 am - and it was great because we pretty much had the place to ourselves. By the time we finished at 1pm I did notice it got very crowded - a number of schools and parties had showed up. I saw on the website they do have peak hours . . I think it is really worth it to visit at off peak times - that way you can really enjoy the beauty of the courses and complete them on your own time without someone chomping at the bit behind you to finish so they can continue. read more

All were challenged, had fun, supported one another and left feeling accomplished. This was my second time this year and it was even better than the first. (First time in the summer, second time in the fall when the leaves were changing. - SO beautiful!) The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful, particularly when you are stuck 50 feet up in the trees. They respond quickly if you need them and give useful tips if you're having trouble navigating a course. Safety is their primary concern, and regularly check your harness when you go on the more challenging courses. You have 3 hours to complete as many courses as you can and you can work at your own pace (as long as someone isn't right behind you). I will be returning. read more

Really a fun place to chill and play FOR ADULTS ! Went with my sister and we are in our late 20s. The staff was really helpful and its worth it for the price 60$ is like $20 per hour. You could bring your phome to take pics, BUT it needs to be placed in a secure place (like a zipped pocket) while climbing/ziplining. There are multiple courses in each level. If you dont want to move on to the next/more difficult course, you do not have to. A really bad thunderstorm was on the way, so a staff member followed us throughout our final course. Luckily we completed the course before any unsafe weather occurred, but he was prepared to rescue us at any point in time. We are exited to go back! read more

Staff was SUPER friendly as said with other reviews, they are all over the area watching and make sure everyone was not stuck and guiding them thru all obstacles. The owners were very eager to answer all questions you had in mind. My 8yr old son was stuck at one point and was afraid to come down and their staff tried to guide my wife to help him come down, since it was a NO GO, their staff ran up to the obstacle course and guided him back down with TONS of patience talking and walking him thru. My car died also and needed a jumper, I asked them where could I get a jump or help. One of their staff actually ran to his rental truck and see if he had them sitting around. Just the employees this place has is so heart warming. The only downside so far is, there is no small play area yet for toddlers or kids under age 7. But my 4yr old and his companions had a lot of fun running around back and forth on their entrance bridge. I would definitely come back again during the summer. Keep in mind the entrance to BOUNDLESS ADVENTURES is INSIDE the school campus right across from PEPSI company. read more

Went with 2 friends who had never been on a ropes course before and we had an amazing time! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The courses had a great variety of challenges and was extremely safe. Definitely returning soon! I did take a star off because when we arrived a camp of 160 kids was being processed and we ended up waiting with others who had arrived on time for the 11am slot (we started at least 30 min after our reserved time). Suggestion: reserve a day for just camps/large groups or block out more time for them and don't have a slot immediately after theirs. Such a fun experience foe adults or children. I was originally hesitant to come here as I am not adventurous, and thought it would be scary but I was wrong. The staff is very helpful and teach you everything you need to know. It's not easy as it requires a lot of balancing but it was fun to experience!! Will def come again. read more

I went expecting to stay for only about an hour. It turned out to be more than three hours of fun. I took my 13 year old daughter and a friend of hers, and all three of us came away feeling a sense of pride in accomplishment. Navigating even the simplest courses requires some dexterity, strength, and the ability to push past a little fear at times. We were completely safe the whole time, of course, but we still had to overcome the reflex not to take that step or leap 20 or more feet off the ground at times. I'm so glad we did it and can't wait to go again. read more

Finally an adventure park in our backyard! Boundless Adventures at SUNY Purchase is the perfect family fun activity. We brought our whole family there and with four levels of difficulty, everyone was able to find a course that was just their speed... though once they finished one, they couldn't wait to try the next level just to see if they could do it! It was an amazing confidence builder. It is completely safe with a doubly-tethered harness that "toggles" such that one harness is ALWAYS hooked on the line. Though at first I felt I should chaperone my 9 year old, after her first trip through a course I felt completely comfortable letting her go just with her siblings. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back to hit the courses we missed! read more

Went with a group of 8 people and none of us had any idea what to expect. There are 4 levels of courses each with several short challenges interspersed with short, very fun zip lines. Most of us were apprehensive at first, but after the first yellow (beginner) course, we felt more confident. Half of us progressed to the blue level which was fairly challenging, and half of us completed the black course which was insanely challenging and required significant strength and agility. I was not up to that challenge but had a lot of fun taking pictures and videos of friends who did. We all had fun. The setting is beautiful with the courses just inside the woods. It is very safe, and there is staff all around to help if needed. Conveniently located just up a hill from where you check in, there is a Starbucks and a convenience store. read more

What a fun and unique birthday party. The setting is so pretty, the course so well maintained and the instructors were super helpful and patient. We were a group of 13 nine year olds and each one successfully completed the yellow courses on their own. If they needed any help, staff was there immediately to help them thru the element. Highly recommend. read more

My 11 year old daughter, her 10 year old friend and I visited the park today around 1 PM. It was not overly crowded and we had No issues finding the parking lot and office. From the main road opposite PepsiCo, the signage was adequate to direct us to their parking lot. We signed up and paid online, also filled out the disclaimers online, Which speeding things up considerably when we got to the office. The Staff In the office was friendly and efficient and the staff in the equipment hut got us into our gear and onto the beginners section in less than 15 minutes (thank you Conner!) Three hours later we left exhausted but very happy, having finished two beginners trails and one intermediate trail. They were all challenging and a few were downright scary but they were also exhilarating and pushed our envelopes and forced us to confront and deal with our fears. We will definitely be going back to try the other trails and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. read more

***3 1/2 stars***…read more This was my first time ziplining outside of a random high school gym class and I could tell it's something I'd love doing in the future. The problem is that the Mountain Creek setup is less than ideal and in my opinion not the best bang for your buck or time. The Millennial Chum and I attended the 10:30am session yesterday just after Mountain Creek opened. Would definitely recommend going at that time - parking in this area is a chaotic nightmare, which we experienced on our way out around 1pm, but thankfully avoided the drama coming in. If you're not familiar with the resort and the parking situation, try to allocate some additional time; there's multiple parking lots, some of them aren't open at the same times and they're not monitored particularly well by the staff so people go rogue and create a third row in the lots that there really isn't room for. I literally broke a sweat backing out of here. The staff at Zip Tours is fantastic and by far by the biggest selling point here. We had Cooper and Meg (I think?) as our guides, both of whom were super professional and personable. Cooper was blasting some Good Charlotte about halfway through on his mini speaker so now the Millennial Chum and I are officially back into turn-of-the-century pop punk. I am absolutely derp level when it comes to straps (airplane seat belts, bras, you name it), and everyone was very patient with me and basically just did all of the buckling and strapping while I just stood there like Ed from the Lion King. The instructions for the actual ziplining and positioning the body for landing at the other end were easy to understand and it didn't take long for everyone in the group to be acclimated, regardless of experience/background. The session/class was two hours long, and involved four ziplines. The first is the short training line down at the bottom of the ski lift. After that, you go up the ski lift to the top of the mountain and do the other three, which are basically crisscrossing one of the lakes at the top of Vernon Peak. After completing the four lines, you navigate across a narrow suspension bridge to an ATV/trailer/truck - I'm sure there's an obvious, much better term for it - that takes you back to the ski lift to wrap up the adventure. My favorite was the second line, which is the longest and offers the best views. I hike up mountains on a pretty regular basis so heights aren't much of a concern, but I DO get queasy on aggressive rollercoasters so that was a mild caveat in the back of my mind. This wasn't an issue at all; there's no significant dropdowns and the speed isn't that fast. I will say though that the landing can be a little abrupt/hard at the end, which they mitigate as much as they can with this cushioning spring system. Probably given the height/distance, the second line had the most intense landing, but it wasn't egregious. Would have hated to be one of the metaphorical test dummies when they were figuring that system out though. Here's the main problem - it's two hours for four ziplines, one of which is a very short training line that takes about five seconds if I had to guess. The actual ziplining is minimal (and maybe that's just the nature of the beast - it doesn't take long to zip down a line) and a huge chunk of that two hours is you just standing around waiting for other people to go down the line. Probably the best way to fix that is to either slash the class size in half (which I'm guessing they don't want to do because they'd be leaving a sizeable chunk of money on the table) or investing in adding another one or two lines at each stop to speed up the process. I have no idea how feasible that is from a financial or logistics perspective but it did look like there was room to do so if it came to it. Another issue (and I think this is more on the company overall and not the guides) is that they allowed three people who were late to join us, and they caused delays as well. The rules on the website clearly say that if you're late you're going to get slotted into the next available session, but they made an accommodation for them. It honestly wouldn't have been a big deal, but these guys were pretty disruptive and self-centered. One of them had a loud Go Pro that he kept turning on and off and he even asked one of the guides to confirm it was recording. It might be too extreme to ban those devices especially given the type of activity you're doing, but it was a definite distraction. The other two were intermittently making out and filming the rest of us; that latter part I think arguably should have been shot down by the guides or cited in the rules. You want to film yourself or the scenery? Fine, but I think it's pretty douchey to film the rest of us without permission. Your mileage may vary. I don't regret doing it, but I'd like to try this at a different venue with longer ziplines and less wait times.

I've gone zip lining at many different places and sadly have to say this was in the bottom of…read moreexperiences. First, they seem to have staffing issues. I'm not sure if that's due to staff shortage or mismanaging the staff but it was chaotic checking in. The staff that was there was doing their best and friendly but it didn't set the tone that this was going to be a smoothly executed experience which is important when doing an activity where safety is very important. Second, the amount of waiting you do verse actually zipping is way out of portion. The group moves together so you have to wait for all 15 people in your group to go before going and waiting at the next zip. There is also only 4 zips. So for a two hour tour that can tell you how long you wait for. The best thing about this tour is the basket harness you get strapped into. It made it more comfortable and less strenuous when you hit the breaks. The guides did try to make it fun and were willing to take your picture too which was very much appreciated. I do not recommend this zip tour at the end of the day however.

They put in your harness, that doesn't smell bad, show a video and you are off to the course. If you get scared or tired you can exit early. Kids love it, they have fun night packages and they do holiday stuff with lights. They have vending machines but bring snacks and water. Wear boots or trail sneakers and comfortable clothes. I recommend this place.

The employee who checked us in didn't give us the backstory at all, which was strange because I've done plenty of escape rooms and the story is always part of the experience. I only knew a bit of it from reading online beforehand. We were also told one of the mechanisms wasn't working, but the explanation was so vague that we didn't really know what to expect. Once inside, the room was very dim. It would've been nice to be given a flashlight, but we ended up having to use our phone flashlights just to see anything. A lot of the props and clues were worn down or dirty, making the letters and numbers hard to read. There was one puzzle that required unlocking something, but the lock already had a key sitting in it. When we moved the item, the key fell out without us realizing, so the lock stayed "locked," and we wasted a lot of time trying to solve something that should've already been open. To make it worse, the broken mechanism they mentioned ended up being something we kept trying to solve because it wasn't clearly explained beforehand. Overall, there were multiple things we were not properly informed about, and several faulty mechanisms that should've been addressed before we entered. This all affected our ability to escape. And on top of that, whenever we asked for a clue, it took them a long time to respond. It honestly didn't feel like they were paying attention or monitoring the room closely. Escape rooms can be so much fun, but this experience was pretty frustrating and could've been handled much better with clearer communication, working props, and more attentive staff.

Each course got a wee bit higher and more challenging and within the actual course I appreciated their 'method to the madness' - they'd break up the taxing (physical) stuff with a zipline as a 'breather' before you had to start to hustle again on some crazy shifting logs or cargo netting. As someone with a bit of experience over the years (ziplining at Hunter Mountain, Ausable Chasm in the Adirondacks, TreeEscape at Mt. Creek) FLG X was by far the most exacting. (But take that with a grain of salt... if you're not in the AARP age range - like myself - you might have a blast and be able to reach the Black Course, including those daunting monkey bars!) I had to take my time and rest for two to five min at a time and Matthew really gave me the confidence i needed to continue Im 60 years old i not old but iam a little broken lol I was a little dehydrated i needed water i thought i was in trouble but no Matthew asked one of the other highly trained staff to get me a bottle of water After that i zipped a few times with no issues i was doing really good. But my arms were going dull because of some prior injuries Matthew helped go down the ladder and i was ok Matthew is a very calm individual professional who knows what he is doing you can tell he had the best training. He really made my experience great I have to add it wasn't very busy so thank god The staff is excellent and these young men and women run a tight ship safety is their priority and second is for their guest to enjoy themselves. The zip line course is great for any level my wife said this was the best one yet and she has been to many. This is where you are abducted and you wake up in a stranger's closet, which you have to escape from! I thought the storyline was awesome and our Puzzle Master (not sure that is the correct name but the person that gives you clues when you are stuck!) was great. She knew exactly when to give us clues especially when we were so close to finding the answer. I thought this multi-room escape room was awesome and challenging. We managed to get out with 2 minutes to spare and will definitely check out some of their other Escape Rooms if I am ever back in the area. Also, the place is a little tricky to find as its in an industrial area so just keep circling and you will find it!

This was a very good experience for me and my kids. My kids have been on ropes courses before and loved them, so I was not worried about them. OTOH I am out of shape and afraid of heights. I stuck to the easiest courses (yellow) until I gained the confidence to try the next level (green) and I ended up being just fine. The staff was able to advise me about which courses at any level were easiest, closest to the ground, etc. and they were very accepting of my limits. They also assured me that I could be extricated early if necessary -- though it turned out it wasn't necessary. The acceptance and lack of pressure to be "good" or to "have fun" made it easier for this fearful person to feel comfortable. In the meantime, my kids went on the harder courses and had a great time. My only complaint is that at the end of some ziplines, there is a stump/step on the platform that one can bark one's shin into. Of course I did! These stumps should be re-positioned and/or padded. Plus, there were no ice packs available at the harnessing-up area (even though some staff said there were). These are easy problems to fix, so please fix them. read more

My wife and I took our 7 year old son to Boundless Adventure in Purchase, NY during their opening week. The staff is extremely professional and helpful and quickly eased my sons concerns/fears he had in advance of taking part in the multiple courses available to us. The courses (I believe 11 or 12 in all) are very well designed and built and offer a good mix of activities from climbing on unique features, to zip lining down different areas of the course. The safety features were top notch, and by the end of our 3 hour session, my typically reserved son was flying through the courses with no help from mom or dad. We completed one beginner course, 3 intermediate courses, and my wife and I did one advanced course. What's great is that the multiple courses offer something for everyone at almost any level. We are looking forward to going back with our other sons and their cousins in the future and to try some of the harder courses on our future visits. Wow! This place was amazing. You would never know that this place is brand new, as the logistical operation was smooth, like a well oiled machine. We took our 8 and 7 year old this past weekend. It is evident that safety is their top priority, with having fun being second. It was well staffed with attentive, well trained, courteous employees throughout the park. Our experience proved that whether young or old, experienced or novice, adventurous or not... you are bound to have an amazing and memorable time. The obstacle courses encourage teamwork, and stretching your self-concept beyond what you think you can handle, in a safe and supportive environment. As the principal of a high school, I highly recommend that teachers and administrators take a field trip here to foster character education, team-building and a growth mindset among students and staff alike! read more

My family went to Boundless Adventures for my daughter's 9th birthday. The staff at the check in were very friendly. Before going on the course, a staff member explain everything we would be doing and showed my children how to work the cables. I felt very comfortable and confident with the support the staff had given us before and during our climb. There was plenty of staff to assist if any issues arose on the course. There were different courses and they became more challenging as you went up in levels. The outdoor location was amazing and very clean. Our family was looking for something fun and different to do for Father's Day. Many of these types of places were very far to drive to until we found this one in our backyard. Our kids are 21, 16, 11 and 7 and they all had a GREAT TIME. The little ones got over their fear quickly and had a blast. The staff was so helpful and very friendly and right there to help you if you needed it. We met the owner and she was great and even personally helped one of our kids over one of the obstacles. It is physically challenging and has levels for all ages. It was a great outdoor activity for the entire family. We LOVED It! read more

We went as a family of four at our scheduled time for fun. The staff was very helpful at the registration desk and completely throughout our time at the adventure place. The staff which gave us instruction, the staff available during our adventures and everyone were super helpful and supportive. There is a good amount of place for guests who are interested in ziplining to relax or walk among the woods. We highly recommend this place to anyone for an amazing time ziplining. read more

Loved it. We drove from NYC for the morning. So much fun. This was so much fun for the whole family from ages 7 to 42. We all had a blast. The customer service is awesome the staff are friendly and fun. They were able to get my 7 yr old to overcome his fear of the zip line by going with him the first time. He absolutely loved it after that and was super confident and happy the whole day because he conquered this fear. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great place. read more

Boundless Adventures is so awesome. One staff member in particular, Grace, was so good with my kids. They were raving about her, and she's super nice, I met her in person. The ropes are fun, but the thing is, people don't believe that the harnesses can hold you. I would recommend showing them that it can hold something really heavy, and other than that, I just love the park. I enrolled my kids in camp, and they love it. We enjoyed the park immensely read more

What an awesome day! From the minute we checked in until the minute we left, a great time was had by all. The staff was extremely attentive to the thirteen 12-year olds who all went at their different paces. It is very safe and even some of the kids who were scared of heights, felt very secure. There are a lot areas to bring food/drinks and keep an eye on everyone. We are already trying to plan our next outing! read more

Well worth the cost. My 3 kids (13, 12, 10) spent the entire 3 hours on the courses and were completely sweaty, exhausted and spent. They could not get enough and burned off a ton of energy without realizing it. The staff was wonderful, very attentive and helpful. We did go early on a Saturday morning so there were very few people which is great for moving through the courses without having to wait for others. read more

Boundless Adventures is amazing! The first day my kid came back from camp, she was rambling on about how she went on a blue course, which is one of the hardest courses! She was so eager to go back the next day. 3 days in, she has already done the hardest course! Staff are amazing, she came home with ice cream twice! I came early to watch her once, and she was having a great time. Truly recommend. Amazing park. read more

Just came home from a wonderful day at Boundless Adventures. Our group of six teens had an awesome time. The staff was friendly and helpful. The kids didn't want to leave! It was a great workout and challenged them. They learned to problem solve, make adjustments and conquer their fears. They cheer for one another, encouraged one another and had a lot of fun. Sooo much fun! Went with a group of Five awesome people and had a blast amongst the children and other adventurests...staff were super helpful and made everyone feel safe.
