Called them the day before to have my car towed to the shop. The communication with dispatch and the driver were clear and concise, and they were on time. My car's clearance is very low, but they were prepared and had made proper adjustments to get my car on their flatbed. I highly recommend this towing service! And no, I don't live in San Francisco. These guys are the first HONEST towing company I've ever come across. Their google reviews are much more reflective of who they are and, even though I just dropped $450 because they had towed and stored my vehicle- I've never felt better about paying money to a towing company. They aren't the predatory type of company you are used to- they don't patrol looking to find people, they only come when called- and even then do everything they can NOT to tow you. (My beef is with the town of Vienna, not them.) They are also CAREFUL with your car- and take pictures before they even tow it to hold themselves accountable. (The last time a company towed my car it was damaged in the front, but I didn't have any before pictures to prove it. I was floored to find a company that self-regulates like that). So, while it definitely sucks that my car got towed, it's not their fault- and talking to Debbie was the only positive interaction I've ever had when it comes to a towing company. read more

18 year old son was towed from shopping center. He had a friend take him to the tow company to pick up his car, CASH ONLY, is what he was told. Although Yelp states card accepted and other reviewers speak of using their Credit Card. He then had to find an ATM and try to get his car back. Also was charged $180, $150 for tow and a $30 fee for weekend, he was towed on a Monday night. Tow truck was called by my insurance company's roadside assistance. The tow truck company original ETA was 45 minutes. It's now been 2 hours and I'm still waiting. I called the tow truck company several times. The first time they said another 15 minutes and they've missed that ETA by an hour so far. The other two times I called asking for an ETA. They said they would call the driver and get back to me. They still haven't given me an ETA after 2 hours. Would never recommend to anyone. Not sure how they are in business read more

2 AM, I called every single towing company in the Springfield/Alexandria area. When somebody did pick up, they said "call us around 7 Am, we're sleeping right now." THESE PLACES STATE THAT THEY"RE 24 HOUR SERVICE!!!! So I finally land on Boulevard towing. I call them and a wonderful woman answers. She's very polite and listens to my problem(all 4 tires on my truck have been slashed...i need somebody right now to tow my truck to Lorton.) She's incredibly sweet and says that someone will be there shortly. Dude shows up about 30 minutes later with a flatbed and gets my truck loaded very quickly and was also a very friendly guy. He had the address that I needed my truck towed to and said he would call me if he needed directions or needed any help. Long and short of it...THIS place is the ONLY place I will call if I ever need a vehicle towed again. In fact, I work for a car dealership that is in need of a good tow company. THIS place will be the one that I recommend. Fast courteous response, friendly folks, greats prices. This should be a lesson to those other "24 Hour" tow companies that told me to go whistle. If you advertise 24 hour service, you'd better stick to it. A very sincere thank you to the fine folks at Boulevard Towing and Storage. When my 1976 Corvette arrives next week...guess who I'll call for storage??? YOU GUYS! I cant thank you enough for the service at 2 am with no notice. A+++ rating. My 90-year-old mother had her car towed from a handicapped parking space at Ravensworth shopping center where she was legally parked. She had gone in to get her nails done then have coffee next door around noon. This is part of her regular routine. This disgusting company towed her car away claiming it had been there since 730 am. She was not out of bed yet! which she can prove with her home security cameras. They then claimed she got into a commuter car claiming she was on their cameras. The nail place and the coffee place both refute this lie! and she has the receipts to prove it. After 4 hours of waiting for this POS company to return her car She called and they said they had parked in the ally behind the strip mall! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This 90 yr old women who walks with a cane is supposed to walk into an ally after dark to retrieve her car? No apology nothing just dropped it in the ally and ran. She is reviewing her legal options. In the meantime I would NEVER recommend them to anyone on integrity alone. read more

I had my car towed about three weeks ago with Boulevard. Making the appointment and the tow itself were perfect (well, except for now showing up within an hour as promised). Everything since then exposes this business for practices that are shady at best but possibly criminal. Sorry for the long length of this, but I felt the details were important. After having my car towed on a Thursday, I called Boulevard the following Monday to ask why I was overcharged. They had said there their towing fee was $75, they charge a $5 credit card processing fee, and it's $4 per mile. They said they'd e-mail me an invoice, which they never did. It was only after the credit card charge, however, that I learned they tacked on a $35 additional fee because my car was pulled into a parking spot. The owner (Deborah) was upset that I might want a refund for that $35, saying she'd have to take that money back from the driver, who turned out to be her son. She also went on a rant about someone complaining about being overcharged just the day before. Pattern, perhaps? She explained the extra charge had to do with not having enough vertical clearance. I said that's funny because I physically measured the clearance prior to booking the tow because according to her employee, supposedly no towing company can move a car with less than a seven foot clearance. After some more discussion, Deborah said she'd refund me the money, and she'd be in touch when she got the receipt back (more on this later). Minutes later, her son, the tow truck driver, called me to explain the charge differently. He said instead that "most" drivers would have pulled my front-wheel drive car from the rear, destroying the transmission. He, however, was being a nice guy and pulled my car out of the space first. Doing that costs $35 extra, though. I find it odd that this might actually be a regular occurrence, but this was my first towing experience, so I guess now I know. When I mentioned to Deborah that Christine, the employee who took my order, had not told me about the fee, Deborah let me know that if I wanted to not be charged more than I was quoted, I should have said, "I will not pay more than the quoted amount." Yeah, because that's how contracts work. Deborah also let me know that she would have told a customer additional charges could be incurred. (Christine later told me this wasn't said because she was listening, and she accused me of being patronizing. I don't think she knows what the word means. Christine also said $35 wasn't a lot of money and felt I was only complaining to prove a point. Perhaps you know me very well, Christine. Perhaps.) After Deborah had her son call me to beg me not to ask for the refund of $35, she assumed it was done, despite her having promised to call me back. (Note: She said in an email, "I am sure my son did not beg you," but he explained no less than 3 times that his mother would require him to pay her back the $35 if I moved forward, which seems like begging to me.) I called her back the next day, and she said she needed the receipt that was left in my car. Unfortunately no receipt was left in my car according to the auto shop, and she said she couldn't issue a refund having multiple receipts roaming around. I guess that means something. On 5/6/17, she said in an email, among other things, "I will return your money." She called me the following Monday and left a voicemail. I almost immediately returned her call, but she was gone for the day. For the next four days, I also attempted to call back each day, and she was always out of the office. We're now three days into the following week, and I haven't heard from her despite assurances from multiple members of her staff that she'd call me. This company is a full-blown scam, and when it's pointed out, they put up multiple roadblocks to returning your money. Luckily my credit card company gave me the money back, but you might not be so lucky. Please do yourself a favor and do not use them. read more

Called these guys because my car had broken down - dead battery. Said they'd be there in 20 minutes. An hour later - no truck. Called multiple times, finally they picked up and said they were 'on their way'. Almost 2 hours after the initial call, they showed up. Terrible. read more

Beware -- these guys are extortionists. At 9PM on a Tuesday evening I parked in a nearly empty lot for 5 minutes while I ran into the Lost Dog Cafe in Dunn-Loring to buy a 6-pack of beer. Literally 5 minutes later when I came out, my car had been towed, and it cost me $150 to get it back. These guys stake out the gravel parking lot across from the Lost Dog Cafe and tow immediately. Towing me was completely unnecessary and pointless at that time of night, and is likely a great money-maker for these guys. read more

Stuck on the beltway with what turned out to be a broken timing belt. Was referred to Boulevard by my mechanic at jermantown shell. All in all a great experience. Did not have to wait a long time for them to get there. Certainly quicker than any AAA experience. Driver was very nice and professional. Great conversation on the way to the mechanic. Giving up my AAA membership and now carry Boulevard's card in my wallet. However, there are so many new parts on my old car that I hope I don't need to call them soon! read more
