Only in Sonoma County can one get a mini bottle of wine at a theater! Hee.

I honestly love downtown Petaluma and its iconic turn of the century buildings and structure! All the amazing precision and craftsman shift and dedication that was put into these old-fashioned buildings is honestly breathtaking! Slightly to the edge of the outskirts of downtown Petaluma, is this queen little theater that surprisingly is very up-to-date!! Not only did it have an amazing surroundsound, but there were speakers that were updated in their old fashion, auditorium, and watching bad boys was great with the surroundsound!!! I was also pleasantly surprised that they had wine and beer on tap as well as a number of mini bottles from local Sonoma county wineries!! The mini bottles were a little pricey, but the fact that this theater offered them was very cute and had that local touch that I really liked!! The theater we sat and was very comfortable with leather seats and little tables that had an arm on them so you could swayed the table in and out as you sat down. Granted, I'm a little shorter than others, when I reclined in the chair I missed about 2 inches of the screen , but only towards the bottom and 'Bad Boys,' didn't have any so I was fine! Lol The bathroom for women was completely empty, but we were also seeing the last showing of the night and everything was automatic soap, paper, towel, and water dispensers so everything was very clean and well taken care of. I would not mind going back to the theater again, and probably trying something to eat. Since it was so late, I just had an apple cider beer which was delicious and tasted just like apple cider.

We wanted a cozy, high quality movie theater to spend the 3+ hours watching the new Avatar movie at, and this was the perfect spot! Known as Boulevard or Cinema West, this spot in Petaluma seems old school from the outside but has clearly been refurbished inside. We purchased tickets online which was easy and got them printed at the front desk upon arrival. Tickets were $13/person for a Christmas Eve matinee. We grabbed a large popcorn ($8) and some trays for sharing and headed in. The main reason we chose this theater: reclining leather seats! And they definitely delivered. T was so comfy to put the feet up but still be able to see the screen fully, have a tray with drink holder, and really relax. The seats were spacious with great arm and headrests. Zero stars for how much I cried at the end of Avatar (still an awesome movie), but 5 stars for how comfy I was while watching it!

This was my first time seeing a movie here and it didn't leave a great first impression. The complex has many smaller theaters with smaller screens than what I feel is typical. My friend said it felt almost like a nice home theater system. My particular movie was in #13 which maybe had 3 rows of reclining seats but some seats head rests were in need of repair (see photo) which could be easily fixed by placing a flap of fabric over it .. the sound system was good and watching the film in a small theater was fine even from the back row .. but the torn head rest made me think that the place wasn't being properly maintained. Bathrooms were fine. I got lost trying to find my way out of the theater to use the bathroom because I forgot where the door was but that was on me.

Located in the heart of the Petaluma Theater District, Boulevard 14 Cinema is my go-to theater for watching all new movie releases. This cinema is small but kept clean. However, the best part is found in front of the large screen... yes, nice, comfy, spacious, reclining leather seats that have a little tray table that can hold your food and drink - warning! you may get too comfy and catch yourself snoozing away! I love that you can buy tickets online (Fandango) and select your seats ahead of time - you can do this at the ticket counter too! And, at the concession stand you'll find a good selection of yummy goods, including gelato, beer, wine, etc... Parking: In addition to street parking you can find free parking available in the parking garage located off of C street.

It's always pretty easy to get in and find a space to sit or stand and the bar in front as you walk in is always hopping! The staff is friendly and the location is fantastic in downtown Petaluma. We recently paid $35 or so per ticket to see an outstanding country performance and I would highly recommend it to anyone whether it be date night or a small group of friends, you can't go wrong checking out a show at the Mystic Theater. I arrived at eight and upon entering was greeted not by the reggaeton influenced tunes of The English Beat but blaring 80's music spun by a failed wedding DJ. Snippets of old tunes at ear shattering volume continued for an hour followed by a 30 minute turnover. When EB finally came on after 9:30 the acoustics were so bad I could barely understand the lyrics. Not sure if this was an equipment problem or mixer issue but, Blech. Here is summary of my issues: 1) if you say band starts at eight, band should start around 8. 2) use a local opening band to give up and coming artists exposure. 3) Play music at a reasonable volume, hearing loss is no joke! 4) Get the sound right so Fans can actually enjoy the concert. This is sad because The Mystic has real potential as a music venue but it can't succeed with smart management.

Mind you- we didn't choose our table. Afterwards, we were ordering our drinks... and he wasn't paying attention at all and kept insisting my friend wanted a beer she clearly wasn't ordering. THEN, a different server came to bring our drinks. He was very sweet, and by accident he spilled a drink all over one of my friends. No big deal, he had 4 drinks on his tray, so we understood and told him it was fine. Our server then comes, and we asked if we could order our appetizers, and he rolled his eyes and asked rudely if we wanted to get our meals also. If it wasn't for his behavior, we would've liked to have tried the dinner options, but we decided to get our bill and leave. We didn't even notice if we got charged the spilled drink. We just wanted to pay & leave. The wings were pretty good, sad that an interaction like that can change an entire mood and setting in your night.

Rancho Obi-Wan is the world's largest private Star Wars memorabilia collection and current (and eternal) Guinness World Record holder. If you are a die-hard fan or just simply enjoy the cultural phenomenon, this place is worth the visit. The museum is located on a private residence in Petaluma. Your best bet is looking for their website and scheduling a tour through there. All tours are led by the owner, Stephen Sansweet. A former Lucasfilm employee, he is a fan's fan with intimate and professional knowledge of that Galaxy Far, Far Away. If you're in the area or make the trek just for this, it's well worth the 3+ hours you'll spend here. Steve takes you on a trip down memory lane, showing off his immense collection with stories about his favorite and unique pieces. He has everything from a library filled with non-fiction and prose EU fiction, shelves of toys, house hold products, musical instruments, promotional material, costumes, video game equipment, and art. You could go back multiple times and not see everything. He is one of the most genuine and nice people to spend an afternoon with. My favorite area is the prototypes and original film-used props. I also had a great time playing some of my favorite Star Wars video games that I spent hours (and tons of quarters) on as a young fan. The museum has a small gift shop with typical souvenirs. The best selections are the collectibles books available from the author himself. Make sure to have him sign them on the way out! The museum manager, Anne Neumann, is also on hand to help with the tour and purchases at the end. She's a friendly person to talk to as well.
