I love this place! I wish you guys are in San Diego! Cheap food but really tasty and good quality! I ordered the monster burger which is a whopping 1 lb burger and fries, also ordered fish and chips with deep fried fries and they are all so freaking good! I don't understand how people are so crazy over this place. Maybe it's the burgers, and the burgers only, which I don't eat. Or expectations were set quite low. I have tried a number of other menu items, and found them very disappointing on several levels, like presentation, portion size, attention to special requests, etc. I guess if it's not how they've always done it, they can't do it. This particular review is about their pastrami sandwiches. I've ordered both the pastrami on rye and the hot stack at different times when I was craving pastrami. The first time I ordered the hot stack and was REALLY disappointed with how utterly grease-soaked the "grilled" bread was. It was nasty, and the portion size of the meat would have fit in a 1/2 cup measure. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. Someone learning the grill, can't heap too much meat in a sandwich you have to flip... I dunno! So, the next time I ordered the pastrami on rye. Bread not greasy, yay! Portion size still weak and pathetic. Maybe I'm just used to the LA deli where the meat pile for the same price was an inch thick spanning the width and breadth of the bread. Pictures accompanying other Yelps don't inspire confidence for trying anything else. A lot of it looks sloppy and generally pretty sorry. The only good thing I can say is their fried zucchini is, in fact, to die for! If only the ranch dressing wasn't so thin and watered down. read more

The waitress, Rylynn was good, the place was super busy so must be locally popular. BBQ bacon burger was good, fries were good, fish was over cooked (couldn't even bite into parts of it because it was so over cooked and hard) I will come back and try something different next time read more

Second time taking the drive from Vegas out to Boulder City for this place and it never fails. It's a small hole in the wall. Service is great, everyone is nice. I ordered the pit burger with cheese and everything on it, including their special sauce. The flavor of the burger is really good, doesn't taste processed. The bun is nice and soft. Their fries are super crunchy and overall one of the best type of fries! They make checkout really easy. They bring you the bill and when your ready to pay they come with their iPad and complete the transaction there. Simple. read more

I love Pit Stop 99.9% of the time the food is great and the staff is friendly and attentive. I'm just having a hard time understanding the new owners logic. You can dine in and you don't get charged for ranch or fry sauce at all but if you call an order in you get charged for your sauces. Now don't get me wrong I'm not a opposed to paying for sauce if you are asking for a bunch of extra but when you pay for a sauce you expect it to be full. Not to mention when you order something like a chicken finger dinner it only comes with two sauces. So if you get one ranch and a fry sauce you end up having to pay for an extra ranch because one ranch isn't enough for five chicken fingers. So I think the owner should seriously reconsider charging customers for sauces. read more

Never been treated so poorly by one of your employees. Tristian was at the door when my wife and I arrived at 3:50 , drove up from Henderson to our favorite burger place only to be turned away by Tristian . I said excuse me if you stop serving at four then why are you turning customers away early . She reluctantly sat us down and then like an angry child started cleaning around us making it obvious that she was upset. After a few minutes I ask her to give us our food to go as it was now very uncomfortable to be in the restaurant. I have been a customer to the pit stop since it was on the main road . This will change my mind about returning especially if this is the new way customers will be treated. I have run a business in Henderson for 41 years and my employees never make a client feel unwanted or uncomfortable even if we needed to stay at work a few minutes longer. I sure I am not the first customer that Tristian has offended , the older long term employees that you have hired would not have treated us in such away. read more

For customer convenience, in addition to indoor seating they offer drive-up ordering where they come to your car, take your order and bring it to you when ready. I had the wings that were breaded just right, and substituted a salad for the fries and Cole slaw that came with the meal. These wing may be the best on this side of the valley. Locals know about the fish n chips. Lightly breaded, lightly seasoned and you get 2 long and nice sized pieces. The fries are great but ask for double cole slaw instead. It's not heavy on the dressing and vinegary enough it's the perfect balance for the fish. It's a burger joint. So not an extensive menu. After living in BC we still talk about their burgers. While driving back to Phoenix last weekend, we called in an order and choked down on our drive home. The buns have changed, but that's about it. Still my favorite burger anywhere. I always get the pit special with cheese. They have a perfect ratio of burger to cheese. I'm telling you. Pit Burger yummy. The fries are good and don't forget the fry sauce. They also have great ice tea. My daughter worked here back in the day and never had anything gross to say. Great place to stop in after sightseeing at Hoover Dam or Lake Mead. Easy on the wallet, you can feed the whole family for around $40 drinks included. Beers are under $4. That's a steal! (Pun intended) On the menu you'll find, hot & cold sandwiches, burgers, fries, chicken strips, fried fish, it's basically deep fried heaven. And don't forget to try their fry sauce. I used it as a dipping sauce for my hot pastrami stack sandwich...Yumm! Lots of baseball memorabilia decorate the walls. And rightfully so with a name like Pit Stop :) Flatscreens so you can watch the game which I especially liked. We were able to catch a hockey game while we visited. Service was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. Right from the moment we arrived till the moment we left, we felt welcomed here. Refills without asking, extra napkins, our servers made sure the kids table had everything they needed. Service like that makes you want to come back. Thankfully we got there before the dinner rush but it looks as though it fills up on weekends but they do have outdoor seating too. Good idea when weather permits.
