"Some days but I only have 5 lines and I'm only in a couple of songs so mostly no. I just sit". My kid was on stage for 8 minutes in a 75 minute show. Most days they cried after camp because so badly wanted to be "in the show" but had so little to do. Shockingly there were kids with even less stage time. This program is advertised as inclusive and many opportunities but If you don't get a lead role, be prepared to spend the day quietly "watching". Then as a final slap in the face, my kid was invited to join the AAPA group. Makes no sense at all.

As a student of their certificate program her skills have grown by leaps and bounds over the last two years. The program is fun but also serious about giving students the skills to be successful. She has studied from some of the same books that are assigned to college acting students. Teachers know their stuff and are good at creating an environment that is safe and supportive but also pushes students to stretch into their capabilities. The school has also been amazing at helping us find opportunities and avoid pitfalls as she's become active in the local film community. It's great that they have different options to meet different needs. For my daughter the certificate program has been ideal, and has allowed her to also attend the workshops that are a good fit for someone who wants to work on skills without committing to more of a "career" type track. They also have camps, which we can't speak to since we haven't done one, and they have a group taking a trip to LA soon. She is passionate about acting and would like to pursue this as a career path. Her training at CSA has truly given her the acting skills and professionalism that have helped her to already have a solid resume and an excellent start on her journey as a professional actor.

He is now 15 and recently had to leave SOR, but only because he is now in High School was not able to juggle all of his high school extra curricular activities as well as the SOR schedule. He plays guitar like a professional and that is all due to the fantastic instruction at SOR Broomfield. We are now looking for a new guitar teacher and it's been difficult to find one with the ability to teach children like the instructors at SOR do. We met with two instructors, who have each been playing guitar for 20+ years, turn down teaching my son (who has been playing guitar for less than 5 years) because my son knew more and played better than they do. No Joke!!! This is all due to SOR as he started playing guitar with them and has never been taught by anyone else. SOR is the real deal. If you have a child who is interested in music, sign them up! It did wonders for my son's self esteem and unlocked a very special talent in him that we otherwise may not have known he had.
