Better oversight of employees, It seems they have a problem knowing the cost of umbrellas at The Marriott Beach Towers timeshare policy. I was surprised when they tried to charge double the cost of what we were quoted by Marriott. It was not a misunderstanding It was stated to us 3 times especially when we were paying in cash. Since we're staying at the Esmé Hotel, 2 chairs plus towels are supposed to be included at the 14th St location; however, it's $20 for the umbrella rental. When we arrived on Sunday, February 27, there were NO towels, but they did have chair covers available. Once the towels arrived within an hour or two, we requested them. I do have to admit Anthony C. & Justin B. provided 5 star service; however they need to be given the tools to do their job, i.e. chair covers and towels. They were beyond attentive and helpful, checking on us every so often. We even felt safe leaving our belongings to take a dip in the ocean. Today, Tuesday, March 1, we arrived around 11am and it wasn't even half as busy as Sunday was, but again NO towels available and NO chair covers. The service was not as good as Sunday either. There is one worker running around like crazy helping people while 2 people work in the stand, one of whom has been on his cellphone since we arrived. He said his coworker didn't show up for work today. All in all, highly recommend them for a comfortable beach experience though! read more

Two lounge chairs were included with our resort fee at the Tony Hotel, otherwise I would never rent from this company. The loungers are set far away from the ocean, and you're not allowed to move them past the front row (closest to the ocean). Even the front row is set far back and doesn't have a good view of the ocean. If you want a view, you have to pay $100 for a day bed. Day beds are about 15 feet in front of the first row. I called their office and asked why customers are unable to move the chairs themselves closer to the ocean. Their reasoning, according to one manager, is that if one person moves a chairs closer, everyone will request the same. I completely understand not wanting to overwork the attendants, but if a customer moves a chair him/herself, that shouldn't be an issue. At the very least, place all rows of loungers closer to the days beds and thus closer to the ocean. People don't spend their hard-earned money to come on vacation for views of the sand. The company is also not consistent with its purported "rules"--it seems to depend on the attendants working on a given day. I stayed at the same hotel in January of this year and the Boucher Brothers' attendants didn't care if folks moved their loungers closer. And can you even believe there wasn't mass chaos and that most people didn't even move their chairs? Shocking. I understand the need for rules and policies; dumb rules, I do not. Let the attendants use common sense. Let customers enjoy the beach. Keep the corporate nonsense out of it. read more

The most awful experience I have had in Miami Beach since moving here 4 months ago. It took an hour to receive drinks from the servers and another hour to get our check after I asked several times. My friend had a heat stroke and had to get help from the hotel staff while I waited for my card (obviously, I did not know it was that bad until she sent me a text). I had the worst encounter today with a Boucher Brothers Beach employee. My boyfriend and I came to South beach on vacation, were from MD. We didn't realize the chairs were for rent but it wasn't an issue at all. We noticed other beach goers just dropping their stuff off and heading to the ocean. A Hispanic gentleman who wouldn't give me his name when I asked came up to us, asking if we had paid. My boyfriend explained that we were unaware and told him we were happy to pay the fee. The man then yelled it was $65 and then walked away from us. When I said "excuse me sir" he looked at me, rolled his eyes and walked away. We are staying at the Koch hotel which I learned gets the chairs for free anyways upon registration. However the gentleman wouldn't stop being rude enough for us to get that information from him. The worst customer service ever. I've never felt more disrespected especially over $65 that we were happy to pay. I am beyond frustrated. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Then after he sent two of his associates I assume he manages to come and haggle us more in regard to the chairs. Super easy rental experience, excellent prices! A friend and I decided last minute to make a beach day of our last day in Miami and were woefully unprepared for it haha. No chairs, no shade, no TOWELS, but a ton of "eh why not" spirit! Thankfully Boucher Brothers had a chair/umbrella/cabana rental set up right near where we got dropped off on Miami Beach! The girl working the rental booth was lovely, and the whole rental process was quick and painless. We rented two chairs and an umbrella for $60 for the whole day. You're given a tag to take over to whomever is guiding people to their chairs (the gentleman who escorted us was super friendly) and they'll attach your tag. You can then either return your tag to the booth if you plan to leave early, or just fold down your chair if you're only temporarily stepping away. Each little grouping of chairs is spaced out pretty evenly as to not feel over crowded but still relatively close, no complaint on that front! You're not right on the waters edge, but that wasn't an issue for us personally as it was maybe 20-30 steps away. read more

A couple of the staff working the umbrellas and chairs are very disrespectful. Twice my husband and I were offered an umbrella/chairs by people who had already paid but had to leave. The first time one of the staff told us to move after we explained to him that the lady and her daughters offered the spot to us. So we moved. We told them what happened the first time and they gave us a little more detail, like how long they had the reservation for. We move to their chairs and not even two minutes later here come the staff again. This time there was another guy with the first one. As they're going back and forth with my husband and I ask for the reservation process and one tells me that he can't tell me because it's private info. I ask for their names or a card and they refuse. So I go over to the booth and ask another guy to call me a manager. While waiting he tells me that when you pay for a spot your name and how long you reserved for are in the system. Further proving my point that you can tell that the umbrella/chairs were paid for. While waiting at the booth one of the staff continue to argue with me about not sharing umbrellas and how it's just $20. He tries to speak over me so I just let him talk until the manager pulls up. I then explain everything to the manager and how rude and disrespectful his staff were, especially with accusing us of pretty much stealing umbrella/chairs. Saying things like it's just $20 just pay it. The manager heard me out and explained their policy on reservation sharing. I suggested this policy be posted publicly somewhere as the way his staff spoke to my husband and myself was not acceptable. They should be retrained on how to explain the policy and potential customer interaction. Boucher Brothers was awesome. Located in front of the Loews hotel, this was the perfect beach day spot. To start, the equipment (2 chairs and an umbrella) was in great condition and super comfortable. My beach day was on a Monday, so it wasn't overly crowded. The beach service was awesome. We had drinks delivered straight to our chairs! I didn't feel uncomfortable leaving my bag/valuables while taking a swim in the ocean. Overall a wonderful experience. Arrived on Sunday at around 1PM when the beach wasn't packed yet. The girl at the booth was nice, but could not take my payment because their system wasn't working. I had to pull a mission to get $20 cash and so be it. She told me to grab whichever chair I wanted since it was fairly empty. I grabbed a chair where I liked, settled my belongings and proceeded to tan. About 30 minutes in, some rude worker walks up to me and says "you have to pay for the chair and you have to move, this chair is reserved." Extremely confused I asked, "I already paid, and it's reserved to who?" He answered to a "party of 15" that hasn't arrived. Excuse me? With SOOOO many empty chairs you're really gonna interrupt me to grab MY chair to a party that hasn't even arrived and wondered if I paid? I refused to move and told him I would move when the party got there. We're in COVID and you're going to sit 15 chairs next to each other? This seems bizarre. Best part? The "party of 15" never arrived! Beach closed and everything. Please teach your staff some customer service. Man this was disappointing. We were told at the hotel that we can rent an umbrella at the beach. I can't handle too much sun but we wanted to make the most of the sunny day (the rest of the week was raining). The attendants at the booth were beyond rude. After charging us $22 dollars they said "go pick an umbrella. There's some in the back". There weren't any free umbrellas in the back so they had to set us up with one. The attendant led us to the area way in the back with the rest of the equipment, far away from the water and simply said "here" as he began setting up the umbrella. When I politely asked if we can move a little closer to the water (there was plenty of space, i'm talking like 50ft to the next party of people) he simply said "no" and proceeded to set up the umbrella next to the rest of the rental equipment. It started with one of the workers moving my umbrella that I bought over to another customer. I literally had to ask for it back. Next, the guy who takes drink orders didn't drop of a menu or ask me if i wanted anything THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE. Multiple people came AFTER me and he served them just fine. But for some weird reason kept ignoring me. You need to train your staff better because I was nothing but kind and respectful the whole time I was there. This review is for the Loews property area cabanas and seating on beach. We paid $175-$250 per day to use the cabanas at the beach each day. I also prompted to tip the fellas who set you up on the beach via credit card. I think if you tip credit card, the service takes a serious dive. I literally would stand there for 20 plus minutes each morning waiting for these guys to get us setup. Nonetheless I quit tipping them after 3 days of poor service.
