The kayaks were clean and in great condition, and the staff was very helpful in getting us set up and answering our questions. We had a wonderful time paddling through Las Olas and Fort Lauderdale, enjoying the beautiful scenery and waterways. If you're looking for a fun activity with friends and excellent customer service, I highly recommend Los Olas Paddleboard and Kayak. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back!

While the park has…read moremany things to explore, the kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals are handled by Park and Ocean. Located a short walk from the first parking lot, Park and Ocean provides some much needed shade and refreshments during the South Florida summer. I had never been here before, so I arrived a little early to check the place out and reserve kayaks for my friends and I. The young lady at the desk was extremely helpful in explaining all the possible options, safety measures, and pricing. She let me know how to get down to the launch area and that there would be lockers for the things we didn't want to get wet, which turned out to be extremely helpful. We went down to the launch and were saddled with great kayaks. The lake is pretty much a straight line, so it's very good for practicing, beginners, and nice scenery. There is a little secret passage which can provide needed shade as well. We planned to have lunch there, but by the time we got done and completely rained on, the restaurant wasn't open yet. So, we used the walkway to access the beach until it was time. The restaurant boasts great local beer on tap and delicious cocktails, as well as elevated bar food and seafood options. I really enjoyed the conch fritters, which were well seasoned and flavorful. Be careful if you don't like spicy food. The young lady who was so helpful in the morning with kayak bookings also told us that the park puts on a reptile exhibition at one, so we were able to take the kids to check out. I will be back soon to try out their other menu items and drinks, and practice with my new paddle board. Hope to see you there.

There was an older woman in the group who could not keep up and only after I expressed my concern about her did they double back and help her. The guide played music and paddled away over and over at a rate that left the novice paddlers far behind. Consider checking skill levels of the group, stopping for regular check-ins, perhaps teaching about nature a bit?

Few days later I receive an unauthorized charge for $1689 and then another for $1210. I let them know I needed to be credited back weeks ago as I was wrongly charged for someone else's orders and they have made zero effort to let me know what's going on. They say they don't save your credit card info but thats a lie. It's been over a month since I let them know what happened and they have offered zero help in returning funds to my credit card. I would advise everyone to shop elsewhere unless they want to live the nightmare I have by using them. 99% percent of companies out there would've easily seen they've charged my card in error twice instead other party who requested their service and would've credited back my card weeks ago. Its incredible that this company operates the way it does, horrible customer service.

Now for the not so good- prices are a bit high for a tool rental place and they are a well oiled machine, friendliness is not a skill set here but what did you expect- this place has evidently made it big enough that they don't have to fight for every dollar like a smaller tool rental. Also- you have to pay the damage waiver (for me an extra $10) even if you know you take care of tools and don't break things. This wasn't explained to me until I asked when returning the tile saw

The idea for the Sand Scooter was sparked by one Maryland family's love for the beach. Since the 1950s, the growing extended family has visited Ocean City, Maryland for a vacation every summer, but eventually the grandparents began to struggle walking through the soft sand. After a couple of years and several unpleasant experiences pushing the manually powered beach wheelchairs, one family member decided enough was enough - it was time for some power. After several revisions and countless improvements to the wheelchair over the years, it was realized that the device they had created, which was ready for commercial use, would surely be desired by other beach-goers seeking independence.
