Visited this recently in Nashville. Highly recommend getting their pizzas. We also tried the cauliflower wings which were ok. The ceasar salad was really good with grilled chicken as well. Forget about having a conversation with someone here. This place was featured on Triple D with Guy Fieri, but like I have seen in the past, doesn't always live up to the hype. I have never felt more welcomed at a bar than at Bottle Cap. It is the quintessential neighborhood place and everyone there is extremely friendly. Natalie, Sidney, and Kaylie are the most attentive, and courteous bartenders this side of the Mississippi, not to mention beautiful. The food and drinks are amazing. Personally, I had the pimento burger and I think I died and went to heaven cause that was actually heaven in my mouth. Drinks are cheap, and they do not go easy on the pour. I only came here for a drink, but this entire experience was absolutely fantastic! First of all, this happy hour allows for some pretty cheap drinks, especially for 12 South Nashville standards. I mean, $6 for a crush is such a great deal! And this crush was absolutely great, I really enjoyed it. The service was great as well! Took a while to get served, but the server I got was incredibly nice and sweet and did a great job with checking how I was doing, and I really appreciate that. I also really enjoy the half outdoor, half indoor atmosphere. As someone who is an outdoors person, I thought this place had a great balance of bringing in the outside air with their open windows while still being an indoor establishment. Sat down at a sticky table with lemon seeds on it. I got the recovery bowl. It was awful. I love a runny yolk on grits. Eggs fried hard not poached as advertised. Grits tasted like grits plain not cheesy, roasted tomatoes vinegary. Short rib was very plain. Fried jalapeño bottle caps were raw jalapeños battered and fried. Batter wasn't fully cooked with raw jalapeños in it - yuck. Coffee was coffee. Bloody Mary was good. Chicken and waffles were ok. Soft bland buttermilk waffles. Chicken was good. He was very friendly and attentive. Honestly, this place is one of the only places we come post covid. I'm here 3 times per week and I feel safe and taken care of. The tables are spaced well and I bring my family here with peace of mind. Love the 12th south neighborhood and happy to have a local hang again. Good food, full bar, TV's to watch the game. After watching diners and dives we couldn't wait to try Bottle Cap but we won't be back. Our server was very nice though. The tv show bragged about their fries being made to order. No...ours were cold and when I asked about it I was told they were out of a fresh basket and the food runner walked away. The server offered fresh fried and after 15 minutes we had them. However, the famous seasoning that the tv show bragged about was missing. Big fail. The carne nachos were luke warm and the meat just didn't seem fresh. No where close to what diners and dives showed. Really disappointing. That was the second fail. The mozzarella sticks just the typical frozen fare like you can buy at Kroger. The burgers were pretty tasty but the house made pickles were missing!! Once again this was something we really wanted to try since diners and dives made such a big deal out of them. I emailed the restaurant on Facebook but didn't get a response. Overall, this was really disappointing especially for my kids that begged us to drive from Mt. Juliet to go. Won't be back. read more
