Awesome speakeasy-like place in a drink hall. No idea how we got here because it seemed like a maze of walking to find it, but we did nonetheless! It was very dark in here when we walked in and pretty loud, so our senses were a bit distraught. We got to the bar and went to order some drinks and saw that there was a bit of food on the menu. My silly self ordered the burger and tried to modify it and the bartender said "No Modifications!" (it did say that on the menu, my bad). My burger was really good, I powered through the pickles, and my beer was great too! "No Modifications!" became something we repeated the rest of our trip, so it worked out! read more

An outstanding burger. They only let you order it with either 1) everything on it or 2) bun, meat and cheese. If you trust the establishment enough to find the hidden entrance, then order the burger as the chef intended. It's simple, cheap and delicious. The French fries are super unique. Never been to an establishment that uses salt and vinegar seasoning on French fries. It's a great idea and I can't believe more restaurants have not implemented it. I would go back, order the same thing. A very good burger for a reasonable price. read more

Instructions on how to get there: go down the stairs to close company turn to the right and keep going straight until you are outside. Charmers will be around the corner to your left. Yes you will need these instructions it was an absolute maze to find. The vibe inside was amazing and they have an outdoor space looking over the river. It was loud and dark for those that may not like that but covered in star wars themed art and very industrial which gave it a nice aesthetic. You order at the bar and everyone was very attentive to checking in and getting to us as quickly as possible even though the bar was full. The only food on the menu is a burger & fries. As a lover of a smash burger it was great. They do not allow for any modifications so if you don't like pickles like my friend you will be picking them off. The drink menu was very gin heavy which is not for me. My friend got the seasonal mocktail which was honestly better than my drink after I panic ordered because the cocktails didn't suit my tastes. read more

Finding this bar was less "going out for a drink" and more a full-blown Easter side quest. Which is hilarious, because yes, it was actually Easter. I took so many wrong turns I basically unlocked a hidden level of Nashville, made six new friends on the way, and briefly understood what Christopher Columbus must've felt like rediscovering the Americas. I am an urban navigator now! The vibe inside? Imagine the Industrial Revolution got hot, put on a leather jacket, and started serving whiskey. For a solid minute I felt morally obligated to pick up a wrench and contribute to the local steel economy, but instead I sat down like the weak man I am and ordered an old fashioned. I resisted the urge to unionize. And sweet mother of Roosevelt, this thing slapped. Strong, smoky, perfect, and, praise be not sweet. I do not understand why some adults insist their alcohol should taste like a Capri Sun. Sir, if your bourbon tastes like a cinnamon roll, we need to have a conversation. The view of the Cumberland River is elite. Real beautiful stuff. The kind of view that after two drinks makes someone say, "I bet I could swim that," right before becoming a cautionary tale and possibly contracting something Victorian. The burgers looked criminal. Like genuinely offensive to anyone trying to count calories. It was love at first bite. These burgers have us coming back time and time again. The drink menu has lots of options, so we always try to get something new when we come through. The bartenders are so incredibly kind and patient. Its a small space that can feel cramped on a busy night, and the bartenders do a great job keeping a steady flow and a happy crowd. The bar itself is tucked away, and in such a great scenic location by the river. There's dark ambience indoor space with tables and chairs, and a spacious patio with benches. I can't wait to come back in the spring and summer to check out the view during those seasons! read more

Cool spot, but can be a little tricky to find. I came late in the evening on a Saturday after some of my elites who live nearby were raving about the value of the burger here. Can confirm that the cheeseburger here and the salt and vinegar curly fries are certified slappin. I also had the orange Julius cocktail with gin and it was dangerously yummy. It was so packed when we got there around 9 PM that I was on sure if I could even muscle into the bar to order, but it worked out fine and when we left about an hour later, it had thinned out quite a bit. This bar has great potential! You get here by walking through close company. The indoor space is smaller but cozy and has what seems like a subtle elevated 80s/90s theme decor. It feels like it's for the 80s/90s kids who grew up but still want a craft cocktail and a burger but don't want to be on Broadway. It's done nicely to not feel tacky and I appreciate that but it did take someone in my group to point this out because it's so subtle. The music was rather loud when I came in and for how small the space was, it didn't seem to match the vibe. The outdoor space is beautiful and right on the water. In the warmer months, I can see myself spending a lot of time here. However, since it's colder and they don't have any kind of heat out there, fire pits, heaters, etc. it's a little too cold to be out there for more than just a look see. The menu is inventive and sticks to the theme but both the drinks my group ordered were not for us. This is not to say it's bad. I could've just ordered wrong but it might need a little shaking out. They were good at first but mine was too sour and the other was just a little off. If I come back, I would probably just order a well drink or try something different. Overall I like it because of that outdoor space but I like close company more. If I'm at close company, I will probably pop by for a drink. read more

That's it, but it's all you need. The staff were great, very welcoming and attentive. We got cocktails and then sat outside for burgers and fries. PERFECT ambiance and location for a pre drink/snack or late night caps. The staff is top tier and so kind and friendly. Cocktail menu is innovative and eclectic and you are bound to find something you like. The patio on the water is so cute and lovely I can't wait for the spring and to have mimosas on the balcony. Food is absolutely immaculate despite the limited menu. They know what they are doing and they are doing it RIGHT. Was a little nervous about the fact you can't make any modifications on the burger but GET IT AS IS!!! It is so good and I highly recommend also getting the salt and vinegar fries. The horsey sauce has a nice forward horseradish flavor with a savory creamy aspect as well. I'm not a fan of horseradish and loved the sauce. No crumbs were left!!! read more

From the team behind Peninsula, this new bar located in Germantown's Neuhoff building, is a hidden gem right on the riverside. The indoor bar is dark/moody with great energy and a nice big patio outside with communal seating. No surprise here- but they have one of the best burgers in Nashville. Juicy, fresh beef, melty cheese, simple toppings, and an unreal sauce that pulls it all together. Soft toasted bun, solid fries, and an immediate "whoa" on the first bite. There are lots of options for cocktails, beer, and wine. The laid back atmosphere makes this a spot you end up staying way longer than planned. read more

At first, this was very hard to find (it is below the main restaurants along the water.) Some more signage would have been nice, but once we found it, it was all good! Spend your money elsewhere. Not tourist friendly. Unfortunately, Charmers receives 1 star, on behalf of my group and I. My party of 3 arrived Thurs evening to celebrate mi amiga's birthday. We happily and coherently greeted the doorman, presented IDs as asked, placed our single drinks order and actually closed out our tab, then sat outside. We inquired about placing a food order and were told they "would not be serving us because we were drunk." I expect a venue to honor a food order, at minimum, and to independently evaluate a patrons level of sobriety. Apparently, our ONE stop prior called this bar to tell them to not serve us. read more

Five stars, easy. This place nails the vibe. Exposed brick exterior, low lighting, and that cozy glow that feels even better on a rainy, overcast night. Sitting right on the river, watching the water move while the rain taps around you, it's the kind of atmosphere you don't rush through. The cocktails are thoughtfully made, balanced and creative without trying too hard, and the beer selection is solid and well-curated. Charmers is charming - staff was super friendly and on top of it even on a busy Saturday. Sutton was the bartender and super kind and made a great drink. The burger was also sooooo good, whatever cheese is on that thing is bomb. Love that they have a deck over looking the water, makes it feel like you're away from the city. read more

Given how many options there are in the neighborhood, I would not go back to this bar. Maybe it's better when it's warm because there is an outdoor area, but this bar was teeny tiny, dark, loud, dank, and had no ambience.
