They also have more affordable options that start at around 200 pounds, so it's also a really good place to shop for a gift that's a little more on the expensive side. Even just getting a taste of Harrods, I can see why people love this posh department store. I checked out Harrods before catching my flight and was happy to see all the merchandise they had, especially since it's just an airport location, so the inventory is limited. But it was nice to see the designers they offered here, and since I love Tory Burch, they had an entire section just for Tory Burch. The staff were super friendly and even told me what products would be cheaper to get back home versus in London, so it wasn't all about them making money. I ended up getting a Tory Burch card wallet and they escorted me to the other section of Harrods where they offered more of their gift items. This was perfect as I was able to get some gifts for loved ones. Glad I was able to get a glimpse of Harrods, a London specialty.

I used to be a huge Harry Potter fan when I was a kid (way before JK let her interesting thoughts…read moreknown). So just for nostalgia's sake, I did go into the Harry Potter shop at Heathrow airport. The shop has everything from candy and wands to actual robes and other clothing in each of the house colors. Everything there was out-of-this-world expensive, and we didn't have space in our luggage to buy anything too large. So I just grabbed a gold chocolate coin. I am not going to eat the coin as it's more of a souvenir, and hopefully that metal coin wrapper holds tight because I don't want it to get moldy inside and draw bugs LOL If you're still a Harry Potter fan (which I know many are, separating the art from the artist), then definitely make a stop here for everything Harry Potter themed, if you're passing through Heathrow and want to grab a souvenir!

As such I bought a several items on each visit lol. This shop is located in Terminal 5 (International Terminal) and has a good assortment of items in each of the Hogwarts Houses. I've been to the original location at Kings Cross and this shop does a good job in carrying about 1/2 of that location's items. It's a good assortment if your trip didn't allow for a stop there. Unfortunately the discount at airport shops concluded when the pandemic hit so guests would be paying retail price, regardless, if you want to buy lots and lots of Butterbeer without having it take up space in your checkin/carryon - you can get a mini four pack for £12.95 (If you want the cool and protective Butterbeer package it's an additional £1). It won't count as extra weight in your luggage since you already passed the luggage drop off. Anyways if you need a little bit of magic before jetting off to your next destination this shop surely has something for everyone!

Clothes are a good quality, sizing is often quite generous, so sometimes you may find you need the next size down. DP is not the cheapest clothes shop around, but it's not the most expensive either. I would say though with regards to quality you certainly get what you pay for and my clothes I have had from Dorothy Perkins have always lasted me a long time.

Traveling with my adult son we admired many items also purchasing a bright white Hamley's cloth, reusable bag to contain some loose items we were carrying. It is a great souvenir reminding us of our time in the Heathrow International Airport (Mall) in Terminal 5 also known as The Queens Terminal.

There are many other items as well such as Legers de cartier, trinity collection, and a good selection of watches. The team is very efficient and helpful. Carlos was super patient me especially when I tried almost every necklace in the store. If you are a fan of Cartier, Heathrow airport has one of the lowest price in the world other than maybe Hong Kong or St Martin. Worth stopping by if you need to reward yourself of your loved ones.

This store is definitely smaller than their two story store in Oxford that we got to visit early in my trip, but there was plenty of gifts to select from for kids. As this store is in the airport, it is tax free, so their prices are lower than their High Street prices. It was so hard to choose as they had so many cute stuff, but I settled on a fabric, not plastic, backpack for my niece. It's printed with red telephone boxes and Buckingham Palace guards. She'll love it! My nephew will be starting kindergarten very soon, so I got him a pencil case with a similar design as my niece's backpack. I also got a small backpack key chain for my friend's daughter. They do have stuff for adults as well--bags for all purposes, hand creams and lotions and travel accessories. Some have classic London icons on them, but this is so tastefully done that they don't look like tacky, as lots of souvenirs can be. If you're paying by credit card, you can choose to pay by GBP or USD. Many stores in London and beyond offer this service and I find that the exchange rate that they give you is pretty competitive, around 1.32. This would definitely be the way to go if your card charges a foreign exchange fee. Mine doesn't so it may be that my credit card may have a better exchange rate than the store's bank. You can also also choose to pay in USD cash. So if you need to shop for more gifts, stop by here!
