    Dried focaccia attempt
    Hector S.

This used to be my favourite pizza in the Montreal area, I used to be a regular client before pandemic. Ordered a focaccia pizza and it was not focaccia and barely edible, an extremely dried thin pizza crust. My wife ordered a pizza with zucchini and Eggplant, vegetables were raw, pizza tasteless. We let know the staff about it, they offered something else but would take 10-15 mins cooking, we denied the offer but they still charged full price for everything. The fried calamari entree was good. Ambiance was good. But these mistakes are not aceptable for a place like this, I won't be returning to the Laval location in the foreseeable future.

Good pizza in a vibrant buzzy restaurant in suburban Montreal. A surprise- a standalone building in a strip-like spot, across a highway from a mall- Ask, what could work here? Turns out, a fully booked Sat nite spot; after our hotel white-lied about making our rez, a confidently confident hostess offers us her booking bar stool, the bar corner and 10minutes later, a sudden table- 'I told you' she says. The pizza is a proper Italianate. Thin flavorful crust, the hairy umami fish(anchovy) on the Romana, a caprese/truffle/tomato/shallots alternative, and 6 or 7 others. Veal appetizer, excellent meatballs, and a commodity calamari (journeyman-fine, consumed and forgotten). Focus upon what they make there, onsite. If back nearby, I'll be back for the Pizza.

My sister has been requesting the family to try this place since her best friend raved about this place. We arrived around 5:30 pm, the restaurant is barely busy. We arrived without a reservation; so they placed us by the bar. Within few 15-20 minutes; the place was packed, no wonder they placed at the bar. It is a pretty large and elegant restaurant. The service is top notch. Our waiter John was friendly, attentive and helpful with his recommendations. I shared a fried calamari plate with my family. It was slightly salty and oily. Unfortunately, we received the calamari with a wedge of lemon. I guess I am used to receive calamari with marinara sauce. When I asked if there is a sauce, our waiter said it's usually plain like this, but he can order a plain tomato sauce for an extra charge. So no thank you. Each family member had their own pizza(Nolana, Siciliana, and Margherita)which they enjoyed immensely. I took gnocchis with tomato sauce. This place isn't your typical Italian restaurant. When I received my dish; I wasn't ask if I want peppers or parmesan cheese over my pasta. I took some spiced pickles from my mother and pour over my gnocchis, which were absolute delight. Beautiful place, excellent service and delicious food, therefore it is recommended! Not a typical Italian restaurant, where they would give the extra with your food, but if you want some extra, then there will be surplus charge.

From Naples with Love The team @bottegapizzerialaval whip up a simple/fresh napolitain pizza under 90 seconds, with their vesuvian rock wood burning oven from Napoli. The decor is chic & there's tons of parking. Service at the bar was great. The barmaid read my mind. Like a Ninja turtle, Jacky loves anchovies so he went with La Romana. Pizza is delicious, ingredients fresh, & crust perfectly cooked. Evening price are decent & even better at lunch. If you're in the 450, go ahead & check 'em out. Follow @JackyEatMTL

After a Yelp Elite event in Laval (otherwise I'd never be in Laval!!), someone suggested Bottega if we wanted some amazing Italian pizza nearby. I really enjoyed my experience here! The service was friendly and efficient. There was no pressure to order wine or a drink if we didn't want to or an appetizer for that matter, which I appreciate. I ordered the margharita pizza; a great way to judge a pizza restaurant as it's the simplest of pizzas. The tomato sauce on the pizza was delicious and I loved the taste of the crust because of the wood-burning oven. However, I did find the middle of the pizza a little soggy probably because the dough was so thin and it's not as good once it cools down. I knew we were going to order the nutella dessert pizza to share (I had never tried one before), so I ate 2/3 of my pizza (could've easily finished it) and took the rest to go. The nutella pizza was the star here. Perfectly cooked, the nutella melted in my mouth and I wanted to eat the whole thing but restricted myself to 2 slices. I would go back just for that. Having spent less than $25 with taxes and tips, I don't find it crazy expensive though I didn't order any drinks or appetizers. Will probably return to the Little Italy location (which I've been to before).

I always get my Margherita pizza here and it's on point each time. I find that the pizza here comes our soggy a bit but that's what makes it so delicious. I also get my chocolate pistachio gelato here. The price range per dish is $$ which is not bad for a nice restaurant in Laval. Definitely visit for yummy pizza!

Service was great! We got our food remarkably quick, very impressed! I loved my pizza. It was a thin crust marinara pizza and I devoured it. The sauce was very flavour full. The Nutella pizza was the best part of it all. The pizza wasn't covered in an excessive amount of chocolate so you didn't get overwhelmed. Really enjoyed a quick dinner here but definitely coming back. The resto has nice decor and presentation. Parking is abundant in the back. They have outdoor seating as well. The prices are slightly steep. However, I wouldn't mind having a good meal here instead of dealing with downtown/old port traffic and parking once in a while

Oh Bottega, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways! I have been coming to Bottega for a long time because they make the best pizza in the city, no questions asked. Pre-Bottega Montreal and its surrounding areas had been lacking a proper Neapolitan pizza but they changed that when they opened their first location in Little Italy a few years ago. Of course it became so popular that the second one in Laval would soon follow. Having experienced both Bottega locations, the Laval one is definitely my favourite. The menu and quality of the food is the same at both. The Laval location is bigger so it feels more spacious and I find it easy to get a reservation here even at the last minute. Also in this location there is always plenty of parking available. The menu is small and focused. Pizza is the star here so while they have appetizers, or sfizi as they call them you should come here expecting to eat pizza as your main dish. As far as the sfizi goes my personal favourites are the meatballs and the insalata caprese, which contains real mozzarella di bufala. Now let's be clear on something. They do Naples-style pizzas which means that they are simple and have only a handful of ingredients. Don't worry though because while they may seem simple they are bursting with flavour. They use a wood-burning oven which always gives the crust a nice, smoky taste that can't be reproduced in an electric oven. They also use higher quality ingredients which of course makes for a tastier pizza. The dessert menu is small but they do a good job with everything on it. I'm a fan of their cannoli which always have a crunchy exterior while still being loaded with decadent ricotta filling. Good cannoli are hard to find but Bottega gets it right. The service here is generally pretty good with the occasional off night. For the most part the food comes quickly. The wait staff also knows the menu very well and can be counted on to make recommendations if you are unsure of what to order. If you are looking for an amazing pizza that will remind you of what you get in Italy then this is the place. I don't come to Bottega too often but I always enjoy myself when I do. The restaurant is in a class of its own.

    Nutella pizza

First time in Laval for a Yelp event, one of the Elite recommended Bottega as a good spot to grab dinner. The restaurant was large with outdoor parking. There is a regular menu and a large selection of wines and menu de jour. Pizzas start at 17$. I tried the special of the day pizza that has a combination of pesto, pistachio, sundried tomatoes, burrata and prosciutto 3/5-25$. On the pricey side-the presentation for the dish was lovely but I thought the pizza dough/crust wasn't a texture I was crazy about-and the flavours weren't spectacular for an overprice. The Nutella pizza on the contrary was very good 4/5, we split this for dessert. It wasn't too heavy on the chocolate and I perfectly dusted with icing sugar. With a share bottle of wine- I paid 60$+ with tip. I didn't think my meal was worth my price. However, service was good.

Tried this place with a friend after we heard how good the pizza were and how authentic this place is. We got there and the place was pretty empty and we were told that we can only be seated at the bar and that we had to be gone by 7:30. I am not going to lie it was a bit of a turn off but I figure I am here might as well we eat and being that it was 5:30 we still had 2 hrs to eat. Within one hour the place was packed. I don't remember the pizza I picked but it was amazing cheese, olive, mushroom and prosciutto. My friend got a Margherita pizza and it was also very fresh a s tasty. I had an entree of olive with some bread and very good olive oil. It is a fancy and expensive place but you do get good service and very good food. Next time I will try the pasta and see if they are as good as the pizzas

I've been back a handfull of times since the last update and I haven't seen my "favorite" waitress. So I'm back to being a fan! It's a must to ask about the daily specials for dinner and dessert. They always have something homemade to choose from. Here, it's simply fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. You can't ask for more than that in today's resto scene. BUT you must ask to have your pizza pie cut (and make it very clear to your waiter) or you will be cutting it yourself. When you eat here, you feel fresh afterwards- not heavy. Idea: they really need to go with the Dyson Airblade. The washrooms are quite slick, yet they installed the most oldschool, ugly hand dryers. It just doesn't fit lol

Made a reservation for 2 people on a Saturday night, and thank God! It was Very packed. But such a surprise to find an authentic place like this in Laval! The pizza was amaaazing and the tiramisu, even better!!

There aren't a lot of places in the Montreal region you can get your hands on some great authentic Napoletan pizza. This place is a regular for my wife and I. I won't go into all the details but the Pizzas are great. Thin crust, focus on the quality of the ingredients. Fresh and tasty. Quebecois beware. There aren't handfuls of toppings, the Quebecois couple we invited with us once were shocked to have been deprived their usual bucket of toppings that dilutes the taste of a well done wood oven cooked pizza. The arancini balls are very very good. Their Nutella Pizza is a favorite of ours too. Service is quick and friendly. My highlights are when the owner passes by and says hello and I get to converse some of my rusty Napoletan. :)

Montreal now has world class pizza! After many years of coming here and being forced to eat…read morepoutine, smoked meat, great steaks, and Canadian interpretations on various cuisines ... I now have a pizza option that rivals the best of NY, New Haven, and all the rest! Pizza Bouquet is labeled as a hybrid of other styles (NY and New Haven) and they are spot on ... more leaning to the NY version. This is exceptional pizza created by an energetic and passionate staff. I have only been there once, but in that short visit it was obvious that the pizza reflects the people that work there ... creative, fun, unique, and welcoming. They sell several great pies and actually offer both slices and whole pies. I ordered a pepperoni and hot pepper pie but as I sat there I had to get a slice of their upside down pie. While they were both outstanding, I have to say, what I cannot stop thinking about was that upside down slice. That was freaking magical. I would eat it there through because of the complexity and nuances of the actual pizza. Do not let this one sit ... trust me. Overall, this is a destination pizza in my book ,,, welcome to the world of pizza relevance Pizza Bouquet ... you guys do it right. Special shout out to the lovely ladies that danced through the entire preparation of my pie. Loved everything about this place!

New Montreal style pizza…read more Considering I've not heard of or tried "old Montreal style pizza"; just sayin'. The crust, similar to the NYC pie. Thin, gently crisp, some chew and char. Easily foldable. Follow it up with just the right amount of quality ingredients are brought together in just the right proportions with quirky flair. Upside down pizza (cheese first, sauce on top) or stranger still, a double carb potato pizza. Speaking of, the potato pie is so good. All the ingredients from a potato mille feuille with a hit of fresh rosemary and grana padano atop the well made crust. Rich, creamy, nuff said. Equally good the mushroom with its "mushroom cream" (think a thin duxelles) base, rosemary to season and meaty creminis and motz to round it all out. Finally the sopressatta. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a cheese pie made even more complex with goat cheese, honey and grana padano? Sold by the slice or whole 18 inch pie. Inexpensive. Is it better than the NYC pie? No. But it's definitely not as boring either.
